We all come alive every year with the first snowfall of the season, good luck on your adventures and everyone’s adventures this winter, let’s hope it’s a good one!
Watched this on my phone as soon as it was posted.Enjoyed it so much just had to watch again on the “big”screen! Your enthusiasm is infectious and the photography superb. Thank you.Looking forward to your next adventure ❄️☀️🌈☃️
Hi murray lucky you to be walking in the white stuff beautiful walk , we never get any snow down in my part of Hampshire any more really miss it , thankyou for taking us along with you lovely walk luv susan x
I also noticed this (I watched the video back as I hadn’t seen it since I edited it months and months ago!) need to get the clippers out as my hair is almost as long at the moment !! 😂😂
Can't wait to come back and see the snow capped peaks! Just completed the Fisherfield Six and found some of your older videos very useful for planning.
Hello again Murray, and thanks for another little adventure as I sit here with my morning tea preparing for work. I do enjoy following you up and down the hills! I believe I was in your neck of the woods on Sunday night actually - I stayed in a nice B&B in Luncarty, Perth.
@@ScotlandsMountains Wow, pretty close then :) It was a very good night's sleep in a comfy bed and very quiet, which I needed after my 500-mile drive! I think I slept about 10 hours.
Excellent Murray cannae beat a snowy summit no matter what the height is :) Fingers crossed for a wee bit of the white stuff this winter i think we all deserve it after the last 18 months or so! Thanks for this, peter.
What a nice trail that was made I like how it went from rain, crunchy rain and then snow! Looking forward to your winter hiking and camping….brrr Take care and stay warm ❤️ 🇨🇦
Haven’t been commenting as much lately…with school here back in session, I’ve been busy working! Your videos have been a great solace to me through the pandemic. I may be short on comments now, but know that I’m still watching every video! ATB
@@ScotlandsMountains I really did enjoy it and now going to watch your other videos so I can live vicariously through you lol thanks again for sharing ☺️ Tracie
We were up in the summer and although it was quite warm weather further down it was pretty cool and very windy on top so much so that our kids couldn't go paddle boarding on Loch Morlich as it looked like the North Sea...!
It can get a wintry feeling up there at any time - going for a dip in the Loch isn’t as appealing when it resembles the North Sea 😂😂👍 Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
Think I’ve seen some Munro’s are to get some snowfall this weekend😃 I’ve had snow at the end of May so I believe you when you said you can get snow on all 12 months. The Cairngorms looks lovely Murray. I’ve never been there so I’m hoping to do a few trips there over the winter. The dark nights are definitely back and it’s much colder in the morning now👍 Looking forward to winter now. ATB Gaz.
Thanks Gaz - the early snow has started - let’s hope it’s a good winter ahead - hope you get to the Cairngorms soon - well worth a visit :) Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
Looking forward to the whole winter of your exceptional videos :) and the music that I can hear when I'm high up in the Irish mountains (hills lol) thinking of places like Glencoe Torridon and the black Cuillin which Murray has introduced to many a hiker :) pretty pretty fantastic
Beautiful. As a Canadian, I have strong opinions regarding snow in September (that would be a firm NO) but you certainly made the best of it in that beautiful land of yours 🙂
great video as usual and this one reminded me of a winter ascent of the Fiachall (excuse the spelling?) ridge with my brother, followed by an ascent of Cairngorm in a whiteout … happy days!
Due to having Ulcerative Colitis I'd find it very difficult to go camping / hiking up in the mountains even though I'd love to, so may I genuinly say thank you for 'taking me along with you' through the magic of video on your adventures, due to the excellent editing and picture / sound quality of your productions it's almost as if I'm really there!....I wish you many more years of happy and safe travels!
Ah Murray, thank you so much for this, I'd seen the forecast was for snow and was about to ask if it truly had started yet, as I have a trip booked in early November to Loch A'an, and then this pinged up on my phone. I'm almost in the Christmas spirit now.....ATB, Leigh...
Hi Choccy- there has been snow this week on the higher tops but this was actually from last year - taken a while for me to get this one out ! Christmas is just round the corner 😉 enjoy your trip when you get up here 👍👍 Take care Murray
Hi Paul - I may have a video in my gear playlist on the poles :) I like having them long (especially on downhill sections) I tend to slide my hand positions depending on the terrain as opposed to changing the length of the poles if that makes sense :) hope that’s useful Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
Great video Murray and a good warning on how quick things can change. The family and I are coming up to Scotland on Friday staying on the banks of Loch Lomond. Could be a one way trip if I can't get fuel to get me back to Yorkshire 😂
2 years ago I was battered by weather in 30 min time from no wind to the 60 mph wind with thick snow . Never reached the summit on this day☺ BTW nice video ∞ A♠
Love your films Murray,.. you have a talent for photography, cinematography and story telling....And the advice is excellent 👏... Me and my son are wanting to finish off the three peaks with Ben Nevis end of October so I'm taking in as much info as I can to be prepared. Your films are really appreciated and lovely to view. 👍🙂 🏔

Aye, it's a good path up Windy Ridge Murray which unfortunately lures inexperienced folk up there in poor weather. Your vlog title is spot on though......I was on Cairn Gorm and Ben Macdui at the end of THIS May on snowshoes, and boy did I need them!
I was so glad of the late snow this year as we missed nearly the whole winter which was very snowy - was a bit frustrating seeing the white hills and boy getting to them - let hope this winter is a good snowy one 👍
@@ScotlandsMountains Here's to that Murray. I should have mentioned there was sleet on Cir Mhor on Arran today, driven in on a 35mph westerly. Winter is just around the corner!
