Another wonderful video Simon and you have further solidified your place as one of the best landscape photographers out there and if we talk woodland photography...I'd say NOBODY is better! Your ability to see, interact, and capture a scene is simply second to none. And Meg sliding into the scene in the background is adorable. Take care my friend
Very inspiring as always. The last images against the snow are definitely award winners! I admire the fact you are prepared to brave the elements and cold in your quest to capture the essence of the place.
Good to see you and Meg again. I enjoyed the retrospective approach. There were some breath taking images which just reinforces the fact that you are a master at reading the trees and capturing what you see. Once again Meg had me laughing as she slid into the frame. Stay well and I look forward to the next foray into the woodlands.
You've paid homage to Scotland's beauty in winter so astonishingly, one could forget how uncomfortable the temperatures and unforgiving the winds. Absolutely stunning work.
Stunning images there Simon! Wow. Such a treat for you to have been there and photographed those spectacular sights. As for Meg - she is hilarious! Love watching her antics in your videos.
Gosh those snowy scenes are incredibly beautiful and your right they really do look like pencil drawings. Really clever edit with the windy audio playing alongside those two particular images 👌🏻
Love the images Simon. Please do show us how you process the snow images as well as discuss your technique in the field to protect yourself, the camera and lens dealing with freezing temperature and diagonal snow.
Good to see you back. Thanks for sharing your Scotland rambles (I've had Scotland/Skye on the brain lately--a new novel brewing). Some very delicate and lovely images captured here (I love that entling!). Your connection to these woodlands comes through in the final images you share. I'm not quite sure how that happens, but it does.
Welcome back Simon and Meg. Wonderful images, superb compositional craft. I loved all the images ( the processing and texture on those first beech trees is lovely ) but the last two on the snowy moor are simply sublime . Processing video please!
Glad to see you and Meg back again. Amazing images from your Scotland trip. That stick man image is incredible, the snowy scene tells the story perfectly 👍
Lovely break down of your photos. Though you specialise in woodland and trees, I find your comments and ideas to be some of the most thoughtful and applicable across for all outdoor photography subjects.
Welcome back, Simon! It was great to see you and Meg again. Your work in Scotland was fantastic. The snow storm really adds a new dimension to the woodlands. I agree, the work you showed from your trip to Scotland are some of your best. I can only imagine all the other wonderful photos you didn't show from your recent trip.
Good to have you back! I hadn't realized how much I value your videos until I had to go without them for a couple of months. I can't recall anything you've done that pleases my eyes as much as the last two images you showed here. Too often I see nice quality scenes being produced in the videos of the four or five photographers I regularly follow that are good work, nice subjects, and skillful postprocessing. The craftsmanship is unquestioned. Your two, however, are fine art photography -- cleaner, simpler, more disciplined and more evocative. I'm confident the edition will not last long. Regards.
That was lovely, including fun with Meg. The images are beautiful. Yes please. I would love to see how you edited them. Your feature in Issue 279 of 'Outdoor Photography' is so interesting and the pictures are gorgeous. Guardians of the Forest is the most perfect cover image too.
Finally Simon . What a joy to see you and Meg in good health. And , most of all, beautiful images . I agree with you, the last three ones are outstanding ! Winter sketch above all !
Great to see you and Meg out and about in the woodland once again, Simon. I loved listening to your commentary on the images and, of course, seeing them. Beautiful images, especially the last two. Stay well.
Lovely to see a video and to listen to the story behind the - again - fantastic photos. The trees in snow remind me of masterful Chinese ink drawings, which I love.
Good to see both you and Meg in fine form! Mate, that's a terrific collection of images: the pano at 4:05 and "Winter Sketch" (14:02) are especially appealing.
Great to see you back Simon. We've missed your videos, images, commentary and of course Meg. Truly inspiring images. Your passion, enjoyment and talent continue to flow through in all that you share. Love your book. A tremendous body of work, beautifully captured and presented.
You are right - those last snowy tree pictures are truly amazing. Funny how such harsh weather to experience makes such peaceful feeling images. Would love to see your editing process on them.
As with your other viewers I agree the pictures were stunning! I would be interested to see the post processing next November. It is mid April and we are cutting grass. Yes we had snow flurries this morning. So please wait until later to show how you process snow pictures. As always it was good to see you and Meg again.
Absolutely stunning images, each one of them would find a place on my wall. The stick man stood out instantly when the image came on screen. Stunning, that's all I can say about them.
Good to have you back again and, as usual, you've treated us to a delightful insight into your image making. I'd love to see your editing and printing process too. Thank you, Simon and Meg
Enjoyed the review and talk through of your Scotland trip, the Downy Birch and Scots Pine are fantastic, but I really loved your panorama scene and all the wonderful characters. I hope Liz and I will be able to come up for your exhibition in the summer, might need your help with booking accommodation.
Wonderful set of images Simon and a great range of subjects from ghostly birches and sunlit pines to snowbound birches. Those last 2 images are truly stunning. A very productive week!
Fantastic images once again Simon I'd definitely be interested in seeing how you process snowy scenes as I always struggle. I find if I process them as colour images they just look grey so nearly always process as mono. Hopefully you'll find time to release a video that explains your process
So good to see you again and hope you are well. Really loved the retrospective of the Scotland trip and descriptions of how you composed those amazing images. Winter Sketch is masterful and really fun to see something a little different and that excited you so much!
Never really been into woodland / flora photography till stumbling across yours and Simon Booth's channels both of you have great narration skills and bring interesting content " to the table" so would like to say thank you for introducing me to this form of nature photography also would be very keen to learn about your post processing workflow. 👍
Absolutely wonderful collection of images, Simon. It was an absolute treat to see these all with your excellent narration. I love those first, lichen-heavy images, really interesting how the immense scruff actually becomes comforting, like a homogenous woodland pillow. Also great to see you share the white balance and exposure values too, nice to see that part of your thought process as I view the images.
Great to see you back Simon. Your images are just stunning and I love the way you talk us through what you like about them. My favourites have to be the pencil sketch images at the end, they are true masterpieces, but I do also love the stickman image. I'd love to find a composition like that. Yes, it would be great to see your editing process as the editing is so subtle and perfect for the images. I'll look forward to that.
Love these images, and Meg's comic relief is always entertaining. Would love to see your editing and printing process.
Consider it done :) Many thanks!
So good to see you back, glad your health issues are behind you. Lovely to see Meg thoroughly enjoying herself as usual. Stunning work
Thank you very much, Laurel. Good to be back :)
That's very kind indeed and much appreciated. Thank you, Craig!
11:00 and 15:00! The snowy images do look like 'pencil sketches on a canvas of snow.' Just lovely...
Lovely images Simon. Definitely interested in the post processing and print work!
I forgot to add my encouragement for a session with you showing your postprocessing of these two beauties. LJ
Simon, thanks for the time and respect you show us your subscribers. Really beautiful prints.
Yes please do an editing video on the snow covered birch.
Winter Sketch is just wonderful, beautiful images, thank you
Very inspiring as always. The last images against the snow are definitely award winners! I admire the fact you are prepared to brave the elements and cold in your quest to capture the essence of the place.
Thank you very much! We certainly needed a break to warm up but then back out again :)
Winter Sketch is such a beautiful photo Simon. Well done.
Thank you very much, Regan!
Oh wow... those snowy Birch images are out of this world... what a great review of your recent work, incredible
Thank you very much, Mark :-D
Good to see you and Meg again. I enjoyed the retrospective approach. There were some breath taking images which just reinforces the fact that you are a master at reading the trees and capturing what you see. Once again Meg had me laughing as she slid into the frame. Stay well and I look forward to the next foray into the woodlands.
Many thanks as always, Cheryl! Much appreciated :-)
So glad you are back! Missed you, Meg and your amazing photos😊

Thank you very much, Wim :)
Good to see you back, Simon. Miss your videos when you are gone.
You've paid homage to Scotland's beauty in winter so astonishingly, one could forget how uncomfortable the temperatures and unforgiving the winds. Absolutely stunning work.
That's very kind of you to say. Many thanks, Lyndsey :)
The image of the golden lit Scots pine with that fantastic crown is breathtaking. What a gift to have been there with a camera at the right time!
Glad you were able to take a break Simon. Please don't apologise for it. You need to take a break from time to time. Really loved the last few images!
Your woodland photography is awesome, and Meg adds so much to your videos!
Stunning images there Simon! Wow. Such a treat for you to have been there and photographed those spectacular sights. As for Meg - she is hilarious! Love watching her antics in your videos.

Love the trees, especially not the last one but the one before that one. Thank you for sharing.
Yes, ‘would greatly appreciate a video on your approach to editing and printing those last snowy scenes. Fantastic!
Gosh those snowy scenes are incredibly beautiful and your right they really do look like pencil drawings. Really clever edit with the windy audio playing alongside those two particular images 👌🏻

Another amazing video with your thought process. It puts a smile on my face to see that Meg enjoys the woods as much as you do.
Loved these images. One of the early shots reminds me of "Disfunctional Family". Glad your back with us.
