    • @haileedrew

      It’s because with this kind of yarn it’s easy to make the yarn snap or pull the fluffy stuff off when you’re closing the magic ring, so instead doing it this way is easier, and avoids messing up the yarn

    I was a little impatient when i first tried this video and failed miserably 😅 (no fault to the creator they had clear and easy instructions), after some time i learned and practiced crocheting blankets and scarves, even making a purse using rectangle squares, and finally ive got the skills and with more patience to try again, now i can make this adorable bear. So cool to learn somethig like this thank you! 🎉

    Hey, I'm making a teddy bear for my friend's baby. This is the first time I'm crocheting, and I was just wondering if there was a way to maybe make crocheted yard eyes instead of the plastic ones to make this more pattern a bit more newborn safe?
    This is my best friend's first baby and I'm so nervous that plastic eyes might hurt him if he chews on it.

  • @livingwithmci-mildcognitiv3970

    I live in the USA & I can't find the yarn that you used. I tried regular yarn & that didn't work because the fiberfill goes through the holes. What ply yarn is this?

      The yarn I used is fluttery chunky. Follow the link in the description to get more details of the yarn.

    When doing the body, why round 8 repeats 2 times. In first round 8 you do (2sc,dec) (18). And in the second round 8-9 you do 18 stitches in each 2 times?

    • @KeepCalmAndCrochet
      @KeepCalmAndCrochet  Год назад

      Hi there, it’s a typo. Please follow the instructions as they appear in the video and ignore the number of rounds.
      Thanks.

    I’m a little confused on row 4 it says 2 single crochet followed by an increase. But I thought an increase is 2 single crochet in the same chain?

    • @KeepCalmAndCrochet
      @KeepCalmAndCrochet  10 месяцев назад

      Yes it sure is. You need to work 2sc in a row followed by 2sc in the same stitch.
      Hope this helps. X

    I’m at the point in the teddy bear’s head that the eyes go on. I ordered the eyes and nose from Amazon and won’t be here for 4 days. Can I finish the head and put the eyes on when they get here?

    • @KeepCalmAndCrochet
      @KeepCalmAndCrochet  Год назад

      Unfortunately not. If you have gone for security eyes then you would need to put the backing on…
      But you can certainly make the rest of the bear..
      Keep calm and crochet xx

    I am at the beginning doing the 2nd round and it is going very round and ball like. I can’t flatten it. I see I might be doing it too right but don’t know how to loosen it without giving the crochet gaps??

    • @KeepCalmAndCrochet
      @KeepCalmAndCrochet  Год назад

      Hi there,
      Working with plush yarn can easily cause that. You have to loosen your grip just enough to not make it curl drastically. It will however curl up a little later as we are making a ball shape for the head. Secondly make sure the number of stitches are correct for each round as missing even one stitch can cause the work to bow too early.
      Hope this helps.
      Happy Crocheting 🧶

    I have a hard time following your count. In the beginning your sixth stitch doesn’t land in your marker in lands in the stitch just before. Other tutorials I’ve followed always have it land in the marker. I couldn’t follow along with you counting this way.

    • @KeepCalmAndCrochet
      @KeepCalmAndCrochet  2 года назад

      Hi there I tend to put my stitch marker in my first stitch of the round therefore I always finish a stitch before my stitch marker. If you wish to put the stitch marker in the last stitch of your round then you will finish on the stitch marker.
      Two different ways but same result. I would suggest for you to maybe use the written instructions at the bottom of the screen and do what feels comfortable to you.
      Hope this helps.
      Thanks for getting in touch and watching my tutorials. 😊

    • @KeepCalmAndCrochet
      @KeepCalmAndCrochet  2 года назад

      You might want to use a stitch marker for the second round. And once you see where the stitches are then use stitch marker only for the start of each round.
