Nightcore lover look up knit grit on youtube and click on their bee video and they show you how to do it :) trust me it seems very tricky but practicing is key x

hey I want u to know something I'm a beginner and I started with your video... while I was messing around trying to do this slip knot I made something that works exactly like a magic circle... but its a knot like a slip knot. only difference is that u can extend it from that tail u get when u make the magic circle. I want to ask am I the first who discovered this loop that acts like a magic circle or not XD?
Omg, I've watched 3 seperate videos and I still can't seem to get the "magic" loop to work. The closest I came was 6 stiches and when I pulled to make it tighter, I had a massive loop I couldn't get rid of. Instead of the flat muzzle, what would you recommend to make it stick out just a bit?

Hi. Can someone help me out. I am an absolute beginner to crochet and all I know is a few basic stitches. Would this project be suitable for me to try out now? Or should I go practice something else first?
Well this is a very good and detailed tutorial so even if you are an absolute beginner you will be able to do it so just believe in yourself and try plus nothing will happen if you didnt succeed from the beginning ;)

What would happen if I used a chunky yarn for this? I just bought this beautiful go for faux lion brand yarn and thought a bear would look beautiful made from it
Instead of making a magic circle like she did, you can make a simple chain. With the yarn, create a slip knot on the end and put the loop on the rod part your crochet hook, below the hook. Make a chain by wrapping yarn around the hook once and pulling through the loop below the wrapped yarn. Now you should have a new loop on your hook and you repeat the process. For this bear, the magic circle had 6 stiches, so make a chaing eith 6 stiches (pull under the loop 6 times. Now you have what looks like a chain. You can count to make sure that you have six stiches by counting the v's. Create the circle by inserting your hook into the v that is furthest away from your hook, so the first one you made. The hook should be underneath both sides of the v so it looks like there are two loops close together on your hook. Next, wrap the yarn around the hook and pull under all 3 of the loops. This is a different way of creating the magic circle, and it doesnt require pulling the circle tight. Good luck eith your bear! 🐻
I’m not sure if anyone knows but how much yarn is needed to make this? I only have 50g of brown yarn and I wasn’t sure if that was enough to make this. :)
no, there's different methods. Look on youtube for the ch2 method.. I have a separate video that shows how to do that as well. The magic ring will give you the neatest start though. Once you get the hang of it, you won't mind using it. It takes a bit of practice. Most amigurumi dolls start this way.
I replied in another comment so for anyone else reading, there's an intro video to the playlist that has the supplies list. There's a written pattern as well with a supplies list.
You can just use a smaller crochet hook that’s what I do if I can’t find my yarn needle it takes a little bit longer but you’ll get the hang of it fast
If you were following the video to make the bear, at the end I say it's the end of part 1, go to part 2 and part 2 pops up on the screen, you just have to click it. Or go to the playlist where all the videos for this bear are listed, that link is in the description box of the video or go to the written pattern, link also in the description box.

Every now and again it happens with the double loop magic ring. It's still my favorite method of the ring and I would encourage you to try again. With practice it gets easier. Are the safety eyes a chocking hazard for babies? I'm making this bear for a baby less than 6 months. I'm wondering if I should use black yarn for the eyes. Any advice?
Hi there, thanks for asking. I do believe safety eyes are considered a choking hazard, factory made toys usually carry a warning about them.
