  • In this session I'm fishing out at Jumpinpin with Art Rienstra starting at the Pin Bar first thing to try and find a jewfish or two. After that we start our search for a few spawn run bream on natural banks on the incoming tide. We find a couple good quality resident fish but no sign of any spawning fish just yet.

    Thumb in the bum trick. Lol. I learn something new today. Thanks mate.

      TimWanderer It’s more of the curved spine the settles them down but it’s always been called that for as long as I can remember. Just don’t ever physically but ya thumb in its bum as it is completely unnecessary 🤣

      Barry Kiepe Was a bit average with the westerly blowing but we picked banks to suit. We got lucky when it swung north. Afternoon session was pretty mint. Dropping that session in a few days.

    Hey Liam, I’m trying to get into fishing, wouldn’t mind starting off trying to target bream or flathead, any tips for me mate? And specific lures & tackle I should buy??? Cheers mate, love the video.

      adrian kocunik Mate I have a few videos on the topic. Check out my “how to” vids especially the bream ones. They explain the basics of fishing light soft plastics which is a great starting point for any newcomer to lure fishing. If you have a few questions afterwards don’t hesitate to ask mate.

  • @garryknox1614
    @garryknox1614 5 лет назад

    That was fun! I noticed you seemed to rig your plastics with the hook side on profile, is that a presentation technique that works for you? Just a tip, whatever Artie was doing, you should do it too! Ha, ha, ha (only jokes, well done legend, tight lines).

    • @LiamFitzpatrick
      @LiamFitzpatrick  5 лет назад

      Garry Knox That’s just while rigging. The hook still comes out the back of the lure mate.

      @@LiamFitzpatrick So it does, the hand was quicker than the eye! You had to fight the straight through fluro with reel tangles, too much line memory, is it a problem with wind to?

    • @LiamFitzpatrick
      @LiamFitzpatrick  5 лет назад

      Too much wind is always a problem and it does get a bit of memory. You need to look after it and run it out after a session and wind it back on. It will get a bit of memory but I think the benefits outweigh the negatives when it comes to keeping the hooks it a proper big bream.

    hey mate, nice video! i found the fatter bream in the commera river last week, how do you know if they're spawning? belly?

    • @LiamFitzpatrick
      @LiamFitzpatrick  5 лет назад +1

      Stan J Stacks of em deep usually and fat as with the boys shooting a bit of baby batter all over the place. You can’t miss it. There is one fish either in this part or the next that does it but would be every second one doing it when they spawn.

      @@LiamFitzpatrick Thanks mate, yeah I found them schooled up in 2-4m, water temp 16.4. They weren't jizzing excessively but very, very fat. They're loving the blades atm too! might see you out there mate, Cheers
