- My mate Minh and I braved the elements. We fished Jumpinpin which we hadn’t visited for a while. The goal was a feed of flathead. We however didn’t manage too many but gezz the bycatch breams were huge!Fishing into the sunset we managed a Trev, 2 legal flatties, 9 stonker breams and a few others :)
You can always count on a good mate to see the funny side when you drop a great fish at the side of the boat. He must like you a lot Sonnie because he didnt through you overboard.😊 another good one Sonnie.

Thanks Sonnie. That was a great session despite quite a few undersized fish. I guess you’d need a fairly heavy jig head as it looks deep there - maybe1/4oz ? Was there any lure or plastic that produced the best results on the day?😂
Thanks mate. Minh uses mostly 1/4 1/0 ligh gauge jigheads. I use a combination of 1/4 and 1/6 in the same hook size. Minh loves his zman white paddle tails whereas I am all over the shop. One minute I’m throwing holt prawns(pink), next minute zman grubs (motor oil) then next again baitjunkie(bloodworm)…. Most colours will work. I even get alot of success on the orange baitjunkies :)

Not exactly what you were after Sonnie but you boated a heap of fish so an entertaining trip with quite a few legal bream. Do you keep any for the table?
Yeah my mate Minh keeps them. I let them go mostly. I fish mainly for fun, keep a fish once in a while to keep the family happy :)
