I thought it was about time that I did another episode in the Offshore series to give you some marks for the Jumpinpin offshore area.
I only ever fished one line of reef in this area. We used to head due east out of the bar until we got to about 50 metres and then we would head north, jig jagging a bit, until we saw something on the sounder.
I know there are a lot of marks in this area but we never found it necessary to go anywhere else on the occasions to visited here.
I have gathered more marks over the years with the vague idea that at some point I would revisit the area but that hasn’t happened and now that I launch from Raby Bay all the time it is unlikely that I will ever fish that area again. So I wish you success with the marks I am giving you and while I think quite a few of them are worthy of investigation I really do recommend starting in the area we used to fish many years ago.

Could be, I forgot to check that. I know there is a green zone south of the pin since I used to fish it.
