This is a remarkable demonstration of the SWAM violin. I’m wondering if you could tell us about the signal chain you used to place the instrument in the hall and get a realistic spatial impressioin? Also, did you use any other processing to improve the overall tone of SWAM’s sound? Thanks or your time - and very well done.
Hi @DaCreepylilMonster, thank you very much for your feedback. I limited myself to imitating the very talented Mari Samuelsen, managing the expression, the bow changes, the attack transients with velocity. vibrato etc
hi @UCtLSwqRjoPUDeX0XKIM5Cow I used 9 controller lanes to the following parameters: velocity, expression, bow pressure, bow position, modulation (vibrato depth), bow noise, sustain, accent, env attack speed
Ciao Luigi, molto grazie! Do you actually play and record the SWAM instruments in the DAW, or do you load the MIDI data from a notation program and ad the rubato and tempo changes as well as the MIDI automation for SWAM?
@@luigizaccheo Wow, you have a great capability to let things appear human-like. I find it sometimes difficult to catch the small nuances which you intuitively do as a musician and translate into automation by drawing, but evidently it works as you show. @@nilsfrederking62 thank you very much Nils, in fact I have spent a lot of time on SWAMs and I find them really amazing. I made this demo in about two to three hours. I prepare these programming exercises for my students

I get mixed feelings with SWAM violin. I'd say it sounds good but sometimes it can sound too good that can have that "unnatural" sound to it. Kind of like sometimes it sounds like a violin that has been autotuned.

WOW absolutely impressive. I love the SWAM instruments and what you are doing with the violin:) Cheers
Just in case, do you know if the articulations are automatic in the case of creating the song as a score and exporting it in midi?
I've never heard SWAM sound this good before, that's crazy.
many thanks Dr. Koupop
We obviously hadn't heard it in the proper hands!
Impressive. I'm interested to see if this can top Cinematic Solo Strings
Fantastic! So great to hear the A / B comparison
Well, this is exactly the kind of demo I wanted to hear. Thank you very much!
Totally amazing! Congratulations!

You are back!!
Amazing work as always. 👌👌
Thank you, Luigi! You're on top, as always!
incredible sound
Of course nothing can beat the real thing but the fact that this is almost as good is just insane.

hi @mking1837, sorry I didn't read your request. I only used VSS to simulate the early reflections of the reverb and REVerence for the tail
Would love to see how you coordinated the velocity, bow pressure and all the other automations to make it sound this good👍🏻👍🏻

Woooow
So good! Thank you for that!
i think the best until now ! amazing articulations ! have u done smt special for timbre ? sometimes swam sounds very artifical but not yours !
