I'd really like to see them add this to d2r. They should do stuff like this alongside the ladder seasons. Kinda like how hearthstone does tavern brawls. A just for fun game mode.
I'd love to see it added as chance for a zone to spawn with 30x or 45x spawn multiplier. Imagine like a 1/200 or 1/500 chance for an area to spawn crazy like this. It'd be like finding a shiny but with monster density. Not enough to upset game balance but enough to be super fun when you find it

Not to dim on the point you're trying to make but, I don't know if you've played this mod but I have, only at 30x, and there's no word to explain how much harder it is than it looks (hardcore character too!!) .you're one slip away from restarting your entire char all the time. literally one misclick and its over. It's also very addicting to just look everything die ^_^

35x felt strangely "realistic", like it was the density of being in a city. At 45x it feels totally gametic, like playing some ridiculous shareware game.

Its really easy. You can do it in 5 minutes. 1. you must create a link to your "game.exe" and add the property "-txt" at the end of the destination path like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\Game.exe" -txt 2. create new folders in your installation folder like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\data\global\excel". 3. Copy the file "Levels.txt" inside the excel folder. You can download the file down below. I increased the monster density by 45000% AND increased Unique/Champion spawn rate by 200%. Do not use it in battle net. Only SIngleplayer ! I tried to run it with Kolbot, but frequent crashes occur, I guess its because of the Maphack. Vanilla or Pluggy works great ! Could edit items, make entirely new items, make all mobs Andariel (or any other boss/mini-boss, etc.), edit boss/mob stats etc. etc. It worked. I wish I could remember what it was called, more than likely it was more than one mod I was using. But it's been years... Uber Bosses or something like that? Probably not.
Also, watching this I get reminded of a manga I read about a character isekai-ed and his powers is that every night he goes to diablo 2 to level up a classical character. Heil the king I believe it was called.

If the base game allows to increase the "/player X" to increase difficulty, why it cannot increase monster density at up to 45 times? This would be a huge time saver instead of constantly making a new game? Would love to have this option for D2R! Not only for increased experience but more DROPS in the same game!
19:18 Yo, playing Diablo 2 on Hoverboards would be insane! Doing an Indy 720 while grinding Hell Mephy for some gear would probably be the way to do it!

Is it possible to have items non randomized but keep the mob density? I played around with the settings etc but items still roll randomly even with Randomize unchecked :(

If you look closely at the patches of particular monsters, you can see that in practice it is not at all x45, but something about x10.
