You probably won't see this, but thanks dude. Just got d2r and following this guide i got my first hc normal cleared after having 4 rips on previous attempts.
Summary: 1) Max your fire traps, a single point into claw mastery and a couple into burst of speed. 2) Leaf and stealth runewords are helpful early on 3) You are literally invincible until like mid nightmare, so just chill
There was so much more info, e.g. - Buy a staff with teleport charges, ideally before you reach lvl 25. - Look for items with: fire, lightening, cold resistances. + to life. increased attack speed (look up breakpoints). - to compare items, transfer their effect to life (e.g. useful points of +strength can save you hardpoints to vitality, thus giving the vitality equivalent of life) - faster run walk, faster hit recovery are also great (look up breakpoints)
I know this is a tad old, but I had to sub after seeing the amazon guide. Soo funny how much sht you copped and kept smiling. Very rare these days, to see someone take a joke. Great personality, great channel.
Deep talk about happiness. Just want to say your videos have brought me a feeling of stability in my life. With covid and shit, knowing your "WHATS UP" is available to me on demand is calming.
If you want to eat like a hobbit, here are the seven meals you need to eat in a day: Breakfast - 7 a.m. Second Breakfast - 9 a.m. Elevenses - 11 a.m. Luncheon - 1 p.m. Afternoon Tea - 3 p.m. Dinner - 6 p.m. Supper - 9 p.m.
Thanks for this series. I bought D2 again because of you... I've started a Necro (following your guide) and have made it to Act 4 Normal. I've enjoyed the experience (so far) so much!!! 👍👍
I love these guided playthroughs! I wish there were people like you doing this for PoE. Even Ziz's Play together's are hard to follow and he doesn't explain everything nice and simply like you do!
I can't thumb up this enough, so many little things i forgot about, like shift+left click to put pots in your belt. Little tricks from watching you play. great vid man.
Anytime I’m taking my time to build a char and go to make a runeword I look for a “superior”socketed item, the extras given to it still add to the rune word. For example you made your Ancients Pledge on your Superior Large Shield that had 11%Enhanced Defense, AP gives 50% so your new runeword has 61%. That’s just an example, you can find superior items like scepters or staffs that give to skills and then boom! That’s added to your new runeword.
Watching an experienced Diablo 2 player is wild man I look away for 5 mins and he went from simply trowing around bombs to running around at the speed of sound while dropping traps all over the place
Never got into D2 as much as i wanted but i always tought wake of fire looked great ! Thank you so much for putting the time to go over the basics , now i really am hooked and all the things that detered me from the game at first are just a distant memory !!
Thank you for the guide I was able to sail through the all acts and only died 3 times during my fight with baal once when to his 5th wave of minions due to me getting stuck because of a bug and two times to baal once because I was out of town portal scrolls and once me getting zoned out during the battle and forgetting what I was supposed to do besides that it was a amazing experience and enjoyed everything including the dying again thank you mr. Llama.
This guide inspired me to make an assassin last night on HC. I moved over all the gear/runes/charms I'd need for normal difficulty and set off only to die at lvl 5 to the yeti guys by the tree in Dark Wood. Thanks.
Ty for the guide! 1:09:05 just one clarification: Actually you only have a better drop CHANCE the first time you kill a boss. The actual drop may be way better later.
Just started this one, found a gull dagger first countess run, then hsarus boots at andy. Not to mention tal and eth first drop 😅 if this were your run you would’ve had a crazy wr pace.
I was playing a Shadow Warrior build of my own noob design all the way to 54. My Shadow Disciplines build was honestly trash and I didn't realize it until I tried out your leveling guide and turns out I've been playing the game at a snail's pace trying to min max equipment, when I could've just gone trapsin for leveling and breeze through the game at lightning speed.
Lol it's always been brunch i thought😂 also I'm kind of curious of your button setup and if you have/use mouse buttons like is i your inventory button and c your character button or do you change it up?
Hey I know I'm late to the party on this, just now making an assassin and I'm following along while watching this guide. Just wondering why MrLlamaSC didn't do the Radament quest in Act II? Isn't he now missing a skill point on this character?
The game is great, but I have no idea how he hasn't lost his mind playing the game to death for so long. Hopefully Resurrected turns out to be quality, and gets post launch support. It needs it. It deserves it.
I am playing an assassin (just defeated normal on lv 35) I am running claw mastery 17 points, 7 on burst of speed, 7 on block, one on poison daggers and on eon each mind abilities... I got in to nightmare and I don't do damage any more 😅 but I really want it to work out because i had a lot of fun with the double clauws build, any suggestions? I was thinking in using poison dagers and dagger shield
The first meal of your day is always just called breakfast, no matter what time of day it is because you're literally "breaking" your "fast" from yesterday.

1:42:35 'This guy wrecks everybody in their 1st trial so don't feel bad if you die'. You have got no idea. I started this game playing Sorceress but just could not kill Duriel also because I was super noob and had no knowledge of resistances and all. Then I played Assassin and killed him just the way you did. Duriel made me quit this game for 2 weeks!!
I could never play like this...my completionist nature won't allow it. I have to do every quest, clear every dungeon and fill out as much of every map as possible. Naturally this makes my runs take days instead of hours but honestly I've tried doing this and missing so much on things drove me crazy (even though I lose my maps when I change difficulties it still bugs me.) This is actually impressive to me.
I don't know if you ever respond to questions, Llama, but I'm wondering, out of all the guides you've made so far, which character would you say is the easiest for a new player to play? That is, requiring little or no real use of tactics or coordination or anything more complicated than clicking the right/left mouse buttons and using healing and mana potions, that you can use on up to Hell difficulty?
im stuck on normal, idk how the hell you one shot the fire immune with fire spells, i cant dmg him with anything. my 1 ligtning spell doesnt do anyting and my merc cant kill him faster than he is regening. cant figure out what to do

see my playthrough take exponentially longer than MrLlamaSC's because I'm what you might call a 'completionist' Dungeons, Quests, Random Fields and Zones...I clear them as much as humanly possible. In the time it takes him to get past Andariel, I'm probably just finishing up Cold Plains (roughly.) I just use this for amusement and to see WAY in advance what sort of build I'll want. Also your comment about the Lower Res wand. An earlier level than Akara Nightmare...THAT depends on what level you are by then. When I kill Baal I'm usually well past 31.
I had my volume set to the same as it was in one of your previous videos and the intro to this one nearly blew my eardrums out. Don't mean to be rude but please use some volume equalization when you edit your vids.
Hi, I am a new Diablo 2 player and your new fans, may I know how you get the ORT Ruine at 2:43:14?? It seems to just magically appear in your stash. Pls help & guide. Thanks.

Did you ever clear hell hc?
Quite possibly one of the most wholesome sounding dudes I’ve come across.
Earned my sub for rekindling my love of this epic game.
Thanks to you, my assassin was able to kill Duriel in one trip. First. Time. Ever. 👍🏼👍🏼 thanks coach!

These guided playthroughs are awesome. I played so much and knew so little, oh so long ago.
Started an assassin playthrough on my pc at work since I have some free time. Glad to follow along my favourite streamer.
I love these guided playthroughs! I wish there were people like you doing this for PoE. Even Ziz's Play together's are hard to follow and he doesn't explain everything nice and simply like you do!
That’s kinda the fault of POE for being a lot more complicated than D2. And ziz gets distracted insanely quickly, so those two factors make it hard.
I can't thumb up this enough, so many little things i forgot about, like shift+left click to put pots in your belt. Little tricks from watching you play. great vid man.
Love these playthroughs, love the assassin, can't wait for the martial arts sin guide.
Keep up the good work Llama!
These guided playthroughs are great. Really looking forward to more.
The info that fire blast speed is based on weapon speed is really enlightening. Thanks Senor Alpaca
