Hey man I’m a subscriber since your MR2 days. I know a while ago you did videos on leaving RUclips, but I’m grateful you’re still producing content for us. Thank you
What a heartbreaker! Don't worry- a lot of times we procrastinate because we don't know HOW to do something. Now you know you CAN do it, just have to do it again.
Keep up the grind. I’m looking to start my own channel and my biggest fear is that I’ll fail on camera. But cars are just one of those beast you can do everything right and it still fail, from bad parts to freak accidents. You got this man! You’re one of my inspirations to chase my dreams!
Don’t be discouraged brother! You’ve come so far, and learned so much. Engines are a wonder of mechanical genius that I cannot even begin to wrap my head around working on one, especially one built by Land Rover. Keep working hard you got this!
Why haven't I gotten recommended your videos?.. bell is on. Glad ur posting again. Got few videos to catch up on now at least 🎉
The content we want.
You have done 90% of it.
Its now just mechanical and you champ it. Just let it go and move forward the next day bruv. Trust in yourself as you always did❤
Dude - awesome vid series, I do feel w you re oilpressure situation and following consequence.
Will follow. Stay strong.
man thats rough.... sorry that its gone like that so far... just to let you know that its normal though i'll tell you this. I literally just got my vw bug's 1915cc engine done, installed and running. while tuning carbs it started jumping time... couldnt figure it out. days of looking, no answers, distributor changes, adjustments, new belts etc... bottom line, distributor brass drive on the crank shifted and wasnt engaging the distributor itself. (thus "jumping" time) had to pull it out, tear it all the way back down and rebuild from the crank up. it sucked, but its part of building cars unfortunately. 4 days later i got mine back in and fired back up. its not perfect, still working on its "bugs" but its getting there. keep up the good work!
The Mercedes is underrated. Also, I thought the little..Sunbeam? sold.
NO MORE ROVERS (Unless, ya know, they get widebodied)
You did an amazing job!!!!!! Either way I’m in NC Asheville! I work on this cars if you need anything just let me know
Factory defects happen on parts all of the time. Probably not your fault. 7 years with AAP, I've seen some stuff.
So happy to see another video.
Keep up the good work, remember you are living someone else's dream!
Yeah the car hobby is a toxic relationship. Highs are high and lows are well... I dont wanna talk about it. That 350z in the back thooo 👀
Dang man. This is crazy. Good luck pulling things together
Nice work brother!! I am currently working on both my 88 and 89!! The issue has been someone has butchered the wiring system!! Sounds bad ass!!!
Some things to consider. Did you replace the oil pump gear? Did you inspect the timing chain housing/cover assembly for wear/oil pump gear clearance? Did you prime the oil pump by packing it with Vaseline and using a drill to build up pressure? I don’t think it’s possible on these engines for the distributor to not engage the oil pump drive like on some engines. Also flat tappet cams require a critical break in procedure and you should also use an zddp rich oil.
This is correct, these engines will not prime themselves after a rebuild unless vaseline is packed into the oil pump gear. Ask me how I know.
Man glad you are posting more often again bro .. hopefully all works out for ya .. u think maybe a gasket went and hydrolocked it on ya? (Water in cylinders for thos who dont know what hydrolocking is).. besta luck bro , you got this .. peace and love bro keep it rad stay safe and build on l8z fam and have fun
I feel bad for you Bro, but you will fix it.
What's up. You probably won't remember me but a long time ago I've commented on one of your mr2 videos that your channel would be very famous soon. That was maybe 4-5 years ago? Im really proud of where you are now
Man I'm really sorry for you
Hold on! Was that Chase??
Damn! Haven't seen him in years since the Ratsun vids. Speaking of which... Where is the Ratsun?? Was it ever finished/driving??
Fatsun
A friend of mine wanted to change his transmission fluid, but instead he drained all of his oil, over-filled his transmission fluid, then drove it for about a mile, (with no oil) & blew his motor
Is that’s Chase??
That’s a bummer dude, best of luck with it
what model was used sniper efi ?
What happened to the sl
You needed to fill the oil pump cavity gears with vaseline. Pump is not self priming.
Great work shame about the ending im sure you'll sort it out
No worries bro...we are just humans we make mistakes..but i know you'll fix it ..
Mine leaked because the thermostat slipped. Took me forever to find the source. Super annoying.
You got a new subscriber
Find someone who makes an adapter to the LR transmission from an LS and junk that old engine completely.
Just put a toyota Engine on it
Do not clamp braided lines to hard lines!!!
lol...wasting more good parts
If you're surprised it all works, maybe you shouldn't be working on cars....
Go away
@@daves_not_here_mannn no
@@1one3_Racing why be an ass hole?
I'm surprised it started w all that bullshit wiring all over....painful to see....but it ran long enough to seize...
@@bugeyev8 yeah. Thats a whoopsie. If my mechanic locked up my engine I'd be looking for a new mechanic!
