I’ve had mine for some time. I have the $159 I enjoyed it and used it a lot when I first got it. The downside for me is I have a very small kitchen and don’t have the room to open it to use both sides open. Secondly the thing is cumbersome and heavy which makes not want to struggle with it. But it cooks well especially paninis

You don’t have to press down on the sandwiches. The top is adjustable to sit down straight on a fatter sandwich.

It doesn't cook hot enough. I played with the knobs but will look into it more. Anyone else not have it get as hot as expected?

I wonder if this would work using raw (cabbage) sauerkraut instead of kimchi. Nice video. Thanks for sharing!

Oops. I was assuming you are vegan and were talking about a vegan version of Swiss cheese. Are you? Were you? (Definitely going to try this with the sauerkraut!) Oh, okay. I see now you are NOT vegan. I had skipped over the panini part of the video but I see now that you used dairy cheese. I am on a dairy-free and meat, fish and eggs-free whole foods plant based diet and no added oils or fats and extremely little added salt) now and this diet (other than a raw diet I did decades ago) is the only diet where I can EASILY lose weight AND feel good about what I'm eating -- and eat as much as I want. It also reverses heart disease, many cancers and type 2 diabetes. I have the heart disease. Anyhow, losing weight and getting so much healthier at the same time has been awesome! If you ever tire of Weight Watchers, check out Dr. John McDougall (for a starch-based diet, which can be rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes and/or corn, etc. with plenty of fruits and veggies). There are other doctors who teach basically the same thing, but NOT the big corporate-controlled agencies that "instruct" the country. Much love!

I love the Cuisinart Griddler (which I just picked up used). I think of it as a great oil-free frying pan where I don't have to flip the pancakes, burgers or whatnot. :) Love your inspirational message too!

@@WholeBibleBelieverWoman thanks so much for your heart felt response! Yes I meant Swiss cheese. Sorry about the typo. Enjoy your Cuisinart. I love my griddler too.

    Question.
Taco Bell makes what they call wraps. They seal a tortilla around food. Will this product perform the sealing function?

Hi Benjamin. I think it would! I have made quesadillas with great success. I haven't been disappointed yet. Let me know how it goes. Have a Merry Christmas holiday season!

If you turn your heat up there's absolutely no need to flip paninis or kimchi pancakes. A good vegan Reuben on sourdough rye takes 6 min (set a timer). I start on sear to get the grills hot, put two on, close the lid quickly and then turn down the heat to high after a minute. Same with okonomiyaki (Japanese cabbage pancakes). If you keep opening the lid to check on them, you defeat the purpose of the panini grill.
