    Just a note, the plugs that you disconnected were for the TwinAir module solenoids, not the injectors. The injectors go to a seperate connection to the right of the intake manifold.

    Just watched your video and it's excellent, although it's not the problem we have as my wife's car is losing power it gives insight into how to remove the spark plugs and where the injectors are. I have ordered a full fuel rail from the UK to be shipped to Ireland as her car is running like a bag of cats thanks again from Ireland.

    So Ive been having this sort of issue as well. However I’ve already done all of that along with replacing the oil pressure sensor as well (it didn’t look too good so I just figured might as well). It still shows low oil pressure and no compression. The shops around my area don’t even want to touch it since they mostly deal with American vehicles and don’t want to touch a fiat. If you could possibly give some advice or insight that would be amazing and much appreciated!

    Nice work diagnosing that issue! So was the lack of oil pressure causing the no start? What caused the lack of oil pressure?
    I have a Fiat Panda 4x4 0.9 Twinair turbo, same engine as that 500 you were working on. Haven't had any issues with it at all, nice little engine that packs quite a punch for such a small engine. Mines just coming up to 40k, lovely car to drive. 😎👍

      Mine have 93k and run just fine as on the first day 👌

      After prolonged Parking the vehicle the engine oil is drained from the engine top end to the sump that leaves the empty space between the electrohydraulic actuators and inlet valves lifters, so there is no direct contact between electrohydraulic actuators and valves lifters. When there's no oil between the electrohydraulic actuators and valves lifters, inlet valves will not be opened for induction.

    • @pdtech4524
      @pdtech4524 3 года назад +3

      @@stanhopeautorepaircentrewardak So simply 'priming' the actuators by spinning the engine over without spark plugs, gets the oil circulating up to the induction valve train and engine starts?
      Must be a safery feature built into the ECU to protect the twinair intake valve system? If it detects low oil pressure it won't start.
      I know they are very fussy about the correct grade of oil, my handbook states 5w40 but I have heard other owners say 0w30 is the correct oil?
      My mechanic assures me he checked and double checked the correct grade for mine is 5w40.
      I trust my Fiat handbook. I'm not sure the thinner 0w30 will offer any better engine protection, except maybe under the start stop feature, which I don't use and also to improve mpg, which mine does +50mpg which I'm happy with.

    • @Panda-Adventures.
      @Panda-Adventures. 3 года назад +1

      I use only 0w-30 dedicated for twinair, i do 55mpg 🐼

    • @pdtech4524
      @pdtech4524 3 года назад +1

      @@Panda-Adventures. I've been wondering about swapping to that but every oil spec I can find about my specific car says 5w40, I just think going to a thinner oil won't offer the same long term engine protection. When the engine is hot the 5w40 engine oil is so thin it just runs off the dipstick like water anyway!!
      But I understand the confusion, even Fiat are not sure and give conflicting advise!

    Isn't there a button you press down the under the oil cap while cranking the engine to re-pressurise the oil into the multiair unit?

      The one you talk about is the older version, No, this one does not have spring loaded ball tha can be down pressed by screw driver or other sharp object.

    I’m having the same issue but this all started after a clutch change? Maybe a coincidence or a faulty oil pressure switch as when it did start it’ll only run for 5 minute and cut out.. it’s been stood for about 6 months so this video does make sense, finger crossed I’ll know the answer tomorrow :)

      No joy :-( live data shows oil pressure low prior to cracking but normal with a second or two during cracking but no start, oil pressure reverts back to low after

    In need of some assistance, do you know when the engine oil temperature sensor is located? Fault code is P0195, 2012 twinair. Not even the fiat dealership can recognise this part.
    Any advice would be grateful appreciated. Thanks

    Put a screw driver down oil filler can and press gently 🤦🏻🤦🏻 it’s a common problem

      Thanks for watching our channel,
      This one did not have the spring loaded ball that you can press it down and it ease the trapped air off, instead dipstick is located here for oil level check, that is the older model which has the spring loaded ball below the oil filler cap.
