  • In this video I review the 2024 Harley Davidson Street Glide. The Street Glide got a lot of changes for the 24 model year. Notably a bigger engine, bigger screen and reduced weight as well as a reduced MSRP!

I absolutely love the new Street Glide as much as I absolutely hate the new Road Glide. I know it's all cosmetic but we eat with our eyes first.

To love/hate the same pig with different color lipstick is odd. Believe both are an upgrade to the previous.

If you got big heated gloves on its easy to hit the kill swithch while riding on the 24's. Done it a couple times. Takes a bit to get used to.

I loved it when that bike rolled up on my driveway today. My buddy Michael brought it by for me to see. Yes, it's actually the same bike right down to the correct serial number. Michael seems very happy with his Glide and was excited that this video was of his particular bike. I can't wait to ride it.

This bike reminds me alot of when I first saw the new Mk5 Toyota Supra. The lines at first did not do it for me how ever the longer I looked the more fascinated I got with it... And then it all just sort of fell into place into my mind and it stuck with me. That is when you know the Aesthetics are not just functional but beautiful. Well done Harley Davidson engineer team on continuing the great work.

I think with the blacked-out up-charge they could have included the gloss black inner fairing for a couple hundo more - make it more of a "special" look. I would have paid the extra for the gloss inner. I'm still gonna get it, regardless!! LOL Great review!

I really enjoy your videos! I like that you are not afraid to say what you do / do not like. I’m a die hard roadglide person but I am digging the new street glide. The only question I have is…the taillight section looks as though there are “reverse” lights. Did Harley make a change and is no offering a reverse gear?

  • @SCBiker58
    @SCBiker58 11 месяцев назад +1

I personally don’t like the intake as well. Probably the two areas of change right away is intake and exhaust but in reality that is what gets changed by probably 80 percent of us Harley riders right away 😏. I like the new fairings and at least it gets rid of the incandescent turn signal lamps. Those battery tenders work, I have been using them for probably 20+ years and my 18 Fatboy is still on the original battery but planning to get a new one this Saturday as Robin has me one on a charger, it’s still cranking but can tell it’s finally getting tired👍

Am a motorcycle guy, not brand myopic, ive had 4 mew harleys 3 of them street glides love them! Now at 40 years young and planning my. Next touring bike am definitely considering this new street glide BUT! The problem is the goldwing is the same proce if not a lil cheaper and more importantly lighter and a true touring bike! I have always toured on my bikes not posed on them like the majority of st buyers ans this is not a good bike to tour i have to say, will see but that goldwing is definitely tempting at this point!

Harley has made some changes but at $30,000 out the door pricing I feel they could have given us more without having us go to the Harley catalog so they could make even more money. The bags look big, much less sleek, give us the opportunity to remove the heal shifter, the inner fairing look very plastic looking and not quality. Air filter is huge and hides a chunk of the beautiful engine. With all that said, they did some nice stuff as well but at $30K hard earned dollars I’d certainly want it as good as perfect as possible.

Great review, I really like the new 24 Model Year Street Glide and think the H-D update to the fairing really brings the bike design up to date, colour wise if I bought one it would either be in Whiskey Fire or Blue Burst with the Chrome trim, the Alpine Green looks good but it's not a colour I would pick , nothing to do with any superstition, it's just not a colour I would want on my Harley.

There was another video that talked about the OS system . The initial is price is $ 339.00 and that covers you for three years. The OS system has a lot to offer through Apple Car Play. Someone also mentioned that on the CVO, the OS system comes all ready booted up and running. According to other sources the Android system is not offered and sat radio was not picked up this time.

    Great review Blair.
Here are my questions and thoughts on these bikes.
I like the new changes overall, but,
I am not fussy on the new tank shape.
The blacked out models should be put together with black allen bolts instead of those cheap looking galvanize ones.
The horn placement is hideous, so is that cheap shifter rod.
To replace the bars looks like it could be a challenge for the do it yourselfer with that tray and all the molded plastics. So to the headlight.
At least they did something right with the stock grips.
Also would love to see the gas cap flip forward instead of back towards the rider, would make more room for refueling.
Is that a plug by the lower corner of the left speaker?

Good stuff. If you could get one for free, 2024 Street Glide standard or 2024 Low Rider ST? And you can choose any paint job you want but only get the chrome engine and components version for the street glide. Which one would you choose?
Personally, I think this is a comparison a bunch of buyers are about to make and nobody is talking about it.
