But, did you know that the Christmas cactus, Thanksgiving cactus and Easter cactus all look deceptively similar, but are actually different plants? In fact, many growers and garden centers may label them under the general term of Christmas Cactus. Luckily, they are all fairly easy to grow and propagate but they do require specific light conditions and humidity levels to remain healthy. I was gifted a blooming cactus last year & it was beautiful. After it bloomed, I just stuck it on my outside plant rack and forgot about it. Imagine my surprise right before Christmas I found it blooming!! I live in a suburb of New Orleans so we have mild winters.
