My friend gave me a very large
Christmas cactus it bloomed nicely. I noticed that when i was watering it the soil is so hard i watered it and still do hard. I put a knife at the edge of plant wouldn't go in very deep. What do i do😮

Can I put a big box over it to stimulate the darkness if I don’t have a place to put it at night without interruption?
