Steve, I want to thank you for taking the time to be captain drone.. your videos have encouraged me to embark one some great drones. I've been flying quads for 10 years. My first big purchase was a mavic air 2 and then a evo 2 pro 6k. Keep up the good work and watching you has been a pleasure. Oh Merry Christmas brother..
Fun video. I’m waiting to launch my DJI mini 3 pro which I’m getting for Christmas. I haven’t flown a drone in 8 years. Keep the videos coming Captain!😃
Great work cap.i teach a bunch if kids fpv and always wanted to give them HD but to expensive.we were donated load of box goggles what they use aswell so they would be used to them.great work.
Many thanks for sharing Captain and another option to consider; it also looks like the Mini 3 Pro is your new "best friend" !!!!!; if we dont see another review between now and Xmas, thank you for going above and beyond the call of review duties; looking forward to 2023 and whats in store; Merry Xmas......................
I can’t wait to see Emax make some Hd whoops now! I have the tinyhawk3 and tinyhawk race! They are neat drones but I can’t see much compared to my dji whoop obviously! So be awesome to see some whoops to go with the goggles! Thanks for showing us! Happy holidays!
hi captain. can I use my cheap $10 solder iron to get by . or should i upgrade a bit? can you recommend a good solder to use ? and where to buy and what type. just starting out . total rookie . thanks
2:17... I fixed that problem by ordering a pair of my glasses with a much smaller Frame just to fit my FPV Box Goggles Steve... BTW.. How many NITS is the screen brightness ?
NITS? It is not listed in the specs. To my eyes it is viewable but it is not super bright outdoors, but still, my eyes seem to have no issue making out items.
Are you just looking to capture aerial video? Or would you like to get into the FPV hobby with the goggles and transmitters/receivers, lipo batteries and all that? I think the ideal setup for someone getting into FPV would be a Mobula 7 analog whoop, TX16S transmitter, and basic analog Fat Shark box goggles. Sorry, I don't know much about holystone products.
So I have a few drones that I fly with, right now I'm using the Eachine EV300O goggles flying the GEPRC Mark 5. So essentially these goggles should connect right to the Mark 5 since this is analog still right ? I just want to make sure before I go ahead and pre order these
I think it's a great idea to get both pieces, and put it together like a smart controller? I'm impressed with the company HD-ZERO. That 5 inch version is awesome. Thanks for sharing Steve. 👍👍👍
Hey captain drone, I want to get into the fpv hobby and I don’t really know the best budget fpv drone 100% rtf. Also I would like to be able to do crazy stuff with it once I advance. If you could let me know what drone would be the best! Thanks!
If you wish to learn what you need to know about the FPV hobby, just watch my video series on RUclips called CAPTAIN DRONE FPV FOR BEGINNERS. Do a search for it.
Hey Steve, you are my go-to guy for new drone reviews. Any chance you can do a review of the new iFlight Defender 25 4S HD anytime soon? It looks like a very interesting one to me.
great review! I have been out of the hobby for almost 10 years, so I'm used to 480p analog stuff... to run this, and take advantage of it, what vtx and camera equipment would i need on my quad?
Great review. I don't remember if you answered this in the video, but do you happen to know if the display will attach to the previous box for the analog Transporter 2 goggles? If so, do you know if there will be an option just to purchase the HDZero display standalone? That would be great to eliminate plastic waste for people that already have the analog version.
So, for a while now, I've been searching for a drone which is a go between of a race drone like the one in the video and has a long battery life. I've recently seen a video of a Babyhawk 2 with an 18650 Lithium Ion pack with over half an hour flight time. Is there a setup like this that wont break the bank, is both fun to fly with, has a long flight time and which also has some kind of stabilisation features on windy days (assuming you dont fly in a storm) that if you take of to 50m high without steering that it will indeed go 50m above the spot where you took of (or at least almost at that spot)? Also, besides a GoPro/Insta360, do you know a camera that can be mounted underneath the drone so you don't have propellors on your video?
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 sorry for not mentioning but as I live in Europe it has to be under 250g/0.55lbs. That's why I'd hoped for a more Emax like answer. As for how affordable and light they can build there drones.

i think my fatshark scouts that i got specifically because they fit over my glasses would disagree with you, and they are super small compared to the standard transporter2 goggs i had before, as box goggles the form factor and weight is very comparible to the little shoelace goggles with the tiny screens, i love the huge FOV from the scouts, and they fit my glasses perfectly, i can even wiggle them around with the goggles on their is that much space
As I too am a glasses wearer I also chose to buy the scouthds. They are a really nice goggle and the mirror design is much better at reducing the size of them. The only issue I have with them is the LCD screen brightness. It's actually quite dark compared to my cobra X image (which can also be adjusted) The trade off however is the additional weight of the vrx and latency. But that said it's a great goggle.... Maybe skyzone will make their own version 1080p screens
Man right when I’m in the middle of thinking is it worth it for my first fav quad to be digital because this just makes it more affordable. Do you think they would make a tinyhawk rtf kit with this soon? Or is that even possible currently
