OK. I'm a C-130 guy, but it is a four engine transport. This fiasco started off with the pilot appearing to do his takeoff roll with inoperative nose wheel steering. Then, after the bird strike, his first move was to bank into the dead engine (real bad idea), did not level off to increase airspeed, and then did some steep banking into the good engines. Finally, and I've never been in a 747 cockpit, normally a three engine landing on a four engine airplane is not a difficult procedure and definitely shouldn't cause you to depart the runway.

The 747 blowing out one engine is no big deal as long as the correct one is shut down. Fly around, dump fuel until a safe landing weight, max use of just two engines one on each side. What the sim pilot did wrong was to land with the rudder hard LEFT
Good thing that was a simulation. In the real world a single engine shut down on a 747 would be no big deal. Shut down the number 1 engine and return for a normal landing. Too much overreacting with all of the movements with the aircraft.

Clearly, the engines switched places during that harrowing turn. They do that, you know. I'm just surprised that the engine remained on the left side of the plane. Would have been much trickier if the engine had jumped over to the right side.
There are inaccuracies in this video. Airliners do not make steep turns. They make rate 1 turns, at 15 degrees angle of bank. Probably the only exception to this, other than airliners going right out of control, would be the two slow rolls by Tex Johnston in the Dash 80 on August 7, 1955. On final approach, the outer wings should have exhibited upwards dihedral angle, as they would in flight when carrying the weight of the aircraft. Instead, they exhibited the downwards dihedral seen on the outer wings of airliners on the ground. Also, only the tarmac, taxiways and runways could support the weight of the aircraft. If it went off onto the grass, it would quickly be brought to a stop as the tyres sank into the ground. Otherwise, a good video of a fictional situation.
So what's the big deal? If a 747 pilot detects that he has suffered a bird strike, then the *_obvious_* thing to do, to save lives, is to act like a WWI pilot, do a series of reckless banks - even inverting the plane briefly, presumably full of fare-paying passengers (but what the hell - they'd still have their seat belts on), then drive across the grassy parts of the airport and park on a motorway! OK - I'm not a pilot (I flew gliders a long time ago), and I didn't realise at first that this was a simulation, but it occurred to me that the pilot apparently realised he had trouble with the nose wheel steering. I thought that was why he went backwards and slammed the brakes on - but that really surprised me. If a pilot had trouble like that, wouldn't he just call for somebody to come take a look? Bearing in mind that at the end of the flight, he would have to land again on that wheel, it would be ill-advised to try to take off.
Amo a la Reina del Aire, no hay un avión Superior a estos Felicito al piloto por tan Grande Hazaña,,fue muy Valiente y muy Seguro al Aterrizar sin novedad.
at least if you make a fake/phantasy video then make sure the same engine pours smoke.....you change from nr 1 to nr 2 engine. And nose wheel does not turn when it turns onto runway before laughable reverse action. But it does turn when it lands again.... You can make this look so much better.
While it is possible the #1 engine could magically fix itself, thus making the #2 engine come apart, it is NOT possible to bank this plane 90 degrees, then soon after 100 degrees, and survive.

And it would've burst into flames. These video have me laughing everytime. I like to watch just so I could laugh. I give credit to the owner of this channel. He has great editing skills. 👍
The pilot of this cartoon reenactment panicked. All he had to do was shut off the fuel to the damaged engine and land the plane normally. He didn't have to skate all over the airfield.
Gente isso é uma simulação. Nesse caso o piloto desliga a turbina em questão e por segurança faz a opção por retornar ao aeroporto ou pousar no mais próximo. Um aeronave consegue voar apenas com uma.
It can easily fly on three engines with proper trim settings. A bird strike on one engine is NOT a serious emergency. The main concern should be how and where to dump fuel to get to the safe landing weight before returning to the airport.
@@bruceb3786 you a pilot you know what to do like I said I'm not a pilot but if their is not enough time for all that disabling and engine could be faster. Maybe I don't know it is my best guess thanks ..what could be done step by step on this case..?
@@jorgerivera425 , this is NOT an emergency. A loss of one engine on a 4 engine plane is nothing, not even at max. gross weight.
