The Cyclic is too high for the Cabri. Should be down lower with the handle just up above your knees. You also need to use your pedals a lot more when taking off and landing but great effort for a first try.
I fly helicopters all the time Zsolt on the Yaw2.5 with a gooseneck extension and the virpil collective and it works a treat the immersion in VR is amazing, I also fly fast jets around the Mach loop and after that you get a real work Out in the chair amazing work guys
In MSFS, under controls options, there is a button for sensitivities. Click that and that will take you to where you can calibrate the flight controls to a more realistic feel.
This is exciting as I have much experience in VR flight with helicopters, I own the PFT Puma and I have tested various motion platforms. I've seen your company continue to move forward over the years and I am excited to see a collaboration with PFT for helicopter controls since that is always an issue. The cyclic mount is too high though, the Puma doesn't have much room for adjustment here so the mount matters. I hope to see this at Flight Sim Expo 2025.
I agree the cyclic was way too high and will put fatigue on the hands and elbows in real you can actually rest your arm on your leg while holding the cyclic for comfort and easy inputs into the cyclic. If the up and down heave can be added to the Yaw 3 it will be a game-changer for helicopter pilots.
@@agoodfriend45 Or a seat riser or extension would easily fix this while also changing the foot pedal angle. Win win, which would technically adjust the center of gravity slightly adding pitch and roll. If this was tested and safe for motors this is a inexpensive and easy solution.
I have a DIY collective, and it's interesting to see that the governor control in MSFS2020 is broken for your Puma collective as well (governor fails to manage throttle and engine power usage glitches)! I fly with the governor off because of that bug. Also, force feedback is really needed for the Cabri as the real helicopter actually has quite a heavy cyclic. Much harder to push it around than any simulator flight controls.
Maybe for a future product one could have a type of force feedback exo-skeleton for the arms and hands. That way one could simulate all the controls virtually (including yokes and steering wheels).
Really enjoying your videos, keep it up. Mine arrived at home but I am away and can't wait to get back and set it up. Would be great to get some details on the Buttkicker setup and some videos on the configuration software InfuseVR?
Question, can you configure the helicopter Yaw with aircraft controls too? You can change the settings and sensitivity for the controls in control settings, Click on the sensitivity for your cyclic, collective and pedals respectively on the top left, then move it and see what control registers, set sensitivity, at the very bottom responsiveness cant remember what it is called exactly but at the bottom to 40-60 , that will smooth the movement. Also make sure you set longitudinal trim and horizontal trim buttons on POV , and trim release, this way you can let go of cyclic when aircraft is trimmed should you need to. Helicopters like H-145 from Hype has autopliot where you can take all hands and feet of and fly the helicopter via beep trim on cyclic and collective. I am working on ways to afford this chair as this would be the ultimate simulation experience with my VR. Helicopters take time to master, but when you do airplanes almost seem boring in comparison 🙂
Those "glitches" (sudden jolts) could be caused by the controller-based motion compensation - if one controller gets obscured by the other controller or anything else.
I want to know When will the controller base motion compensation solution be available? And what is the simulator based motion compensation solution that you are referring? By sensors that built-in the simulator? Really Need a deep dive video on Motion Compensation walkthrough as this is the critical factor to when Yaw2/3 can enter the mass market. I believe not everyone can be a tech geek that can manage complicated start up sequence each time before a gameplay session.
Spot on mate......presently it is still requiring a level of expertise in tech that the general Joe Blow does not, and should not, have. It needs to be plug and play to be really ready for the consumer market
We are finishing our "One click" VR gaming solution, where, you should start our Infuse VR software and the game you want to play with and basically you shouldn't do anything else. We are planning to post a video about that next week
Flying in VR is the only way of using a flight simulator - if you once experienced a VR flight, you'll just feel sorry for all that braggers with their multi-screen 2D setups. :) It really is like day and night, while flying in 2D is a total waste of lifetime. And Zsolt does not exaggerate if he says he's sweating and got his heart beating fast. VR really does that. Zsolt: If you found landing a helicopter in MSFS extremely difficult, you'll find it right impossible in DCS. And if you manage to get airplanes off the ground in MSFS easily, try a warbird (from WW II) in DCS - and become a master of crashes and swearwords. :D About Yaw: Heave platform, STURDY supports for flightsticks/wheels and pedals, and a realistic price (like the price before you more than doubled the amount over night) and I might become a buyer.
How would you be able to have more usb connectors to avoid cable mangement being an issue again? It looks like onlu two usb ports? Also, same topic, I see theres a power outlet, i guess this could support a powered usb, but what if you need more power, for instance, butt kickers, transfucers, haptic seat pads, powered steering wheels. Is there room for expansion or the design is for simeple setips and once you surpase two usbs and one power plug then you have to go back to cable managment? Im thinking I'd need usb for mouse and keyboard, hotas, butt kicker and seat haptic pad at the minimum.
we have 4 USB connectors by deafault and one 110V/220V socket with about 500W power (or more, depending on the motors actual energy consumption). And you can connect additional USB hubs and power distribution sockets to make more if it is necessary
@@YawVR So a small power strip should be doable with a few added usbs without effecting latency? This is extremely intriguing to me. Is there an emergency off switch?
I know you’ll hate this question after the stress of yaw 2/3, but you haven’t talked about the heave platform in awhile. How’s development, will there be kickstarter?

MS flight sim doesn’t support force feedback yet

Racing video coming soon
Very Nice but the cyclic is to high 😎

Does the eye tracking re orient the screen when ur on the motion platform?
no, it is controller based motion compensation
Why do you allow your seat to rotate on itself (YAW) for NO REASON? Is there an option to turn this OFF?
it is in sync with the game, but you can limit or event turn it off
