I would agree if it were "Visual Simulator 2020". Unfortunately, it's called "Flight Simulator". And if we are talking about Flight, X-Plane, though not perfect, is better.
About Infinite Flight. I started with it 10 years ago, and am a real world pilot now. Great sim! Try it. (Although after I got into MSFS 2020 nothing else seems good)
The reason DCS should get S+ is because it does something that none of the other flight Sims do and that's simululate aircraft systems like RWR, radar, FCR, individual aircraft systems, a more realistic damage model, and the aircraft behave more closely to what they do in real life. That being said DCS is also one of the oldest Sims and has a lot of areas that need to modernize (which eagle dynamics is working on).
I can agree on some of that stuff, but not the damage model or radar. Games like nuclear option and war thunder have much better/physics based destruction. Also, it has no where near as realistic of RCS as VTOL VR. VTOL has literally the most accurate and realistic radar system out of any game (DCS and War thunder use dice rolling basically instead of calculating cross section and position to the radar)
Other flight sims I’d include: Turboprop Flight Simulator: D Tier. Decent for a mobile game, but not really realistic, and not many planes to pick. Ace Combat 7: C. As much as a love the Ace Combat series, it isn’t realistic at all. The plane selection is good, but the very arcadey physics and mission based system makes it not really a flight simulator, but more of a flight game.
As a Ptfs player I respect your ranking. The reason why the airline have a weird name like Singadoor is because they dont wanna get copyright so they have to make a ripoff name and they don't have realistic gear up/down cause the owner said it will took weeks cause they have to remodel every planes in the games. I hope you understand that ❤
Hey Aron I’m an avid war thunder player and I respect how you put it on the tier list just because it’s a little arcadey, but I’ve played it in VR with full flight controls on sim mode and realistic mode and it’s super fun and ALMOST dcs level. Especially with F-15s and stuff. I would love it if you wanted to try some top tier stuff on my account and maybe try to change your opinion a little bit 😂
While you're in the process of trying Infinite Flight, you could also try Real Flight Simulator. Here's a quick comparison between them: Both sims offer a wide variety of aircraft, RFS offers more airliners, IF has more GA and Military planes. RFS also has more liveries, there are thousands of community contributed real and fictional liveries for each plane. Both sims have most features locked behind a subscription program. RFS subscription is cheaper, though IF offers more free planes. Graphics wise, RFS takes a slight edge, both sims feature sattelite terrain imagery with simulated topography, though building and other features outside airports are 2D. Both have the whole world simulated, RFS has better weather simulation. IF has better physics and also features semi-interactive cockpits in some planes, which aren't present at all in RFS. Both sims have on-screen buttons for basic functions, which are simplified. RFS has simulated ground services (I don't remember if IF has that or not). Controling a plane is easier in RFS, because it features the option of a virtual joystick, while IF only has tilt controls. Both feature an on-screen slider for the rudder. Also, setting up a flight path as well as the autopilot is easier in RFS. I personally prefer RFS, however, definitely give a shot to both
I will say this The Roblox flight sims serves different markets to mainline one PTFS: Offers options for RP and short movies with acess through both PC and mobile. The game's physics and graphics arn't meant to be great to offer less lag to certain people. In a way more focused for a bigger market without spending money on PRO feature on mobile flight sims. Best for Low end Laptops and Phones. Better then nothing is what I would say Project flight: Its the MSFS of Roblox but you can take that statement with a grain of salt. Project flight is still in its early stages of development which still leaves time for it to improve. The Graphic are the best you can get for a Roblox sim with autopilot and atc features being improved as I find the PF atc system is actual goated unlike PTFS. Its best with Low to medium end laptops or medium end phones. Project Flight is the best one you can get on the Roblox market however it does cost a little bit of money. Flightline: Flightline tries to incoperate thing that no other sims have done before which include waypoints for AP or crash physics. Its and intresting blend as Aaron puts it as PTFS and Project flight but it does require a meduim end laptop in the end. Its good but not great.
@@Dudedoesstuffright Bro Project flight is my favourite. It has good graphics, autopilot, landing ratings and much more. BUT HE SAID IT WAS ONLY a D!!!???
Aaron Rheins, thank you for your content that you do i watch you since your start and every video you do is getting more better i hope you read my comment and thank you for this content you make : salute to you
If you enjoyed DCS, you'll definitely like VTOL VR too. It has low poly graphics, but DCS levels of realism, with some of it's simulated systems being even more realistic than DCS.
@cardboard9124 in terms of procedures, equipment, and graphics, DCS is much more realistic, yes. But VTOL has a fully modeled RCS system that accounts for angle of the vehicle in relation to you, external pylons, open weapon bays, etc. DCS uses rng for RCS. I'd say at least in the radar simulation itself VTOL is more realistic, even if dcs has the more realistic interface for it.
The newer stuff is good but not amazing. Since the game is made entirely with CSG parts models are incredibly rough around the edges. It also lacks basic things such as an overhead panel and display textures on the screens. I will give Orange credit for including unique airline lounges and alternate interiors for some liveries but for the most part PTFS’s models are pretty bad. (The Antonov gamepass is pretty good though.)
I’m not even mad how he rated ptfs even though i’ve played ptfs for the past 3 years and I can agree that it’s bad in terms of realism so I don’t get why the ptfs lovers have to go against him even if it is the truth
Aaron, I feel like you should try Flyout. It’s very similar to KSP but then 10000 times more realistic and flight centred. You create planes like it’s blender and then fly them around in an earth sized map with pretty good graphics. You should actually spend time trying to learn it (more than 50 hours) and accept help from the Flyout community on Discord unlike all the other RUclipsrs who just play for 5 hours, encounter bugs and fail to make a working plane and then hate on the game. physics wise it’s almost more realistic than DCS (just needs part to part physics interaction and then it’ll be better), but for an early access game it’s GOATed.
Just play GeoFS, it’s more convenient and you aren’t supporting Roblox’s shitty moderation. If you absolutely MUST play on Roblox, Aeronautica or Project Flight are your best bets.
X-plane 11 runs good with mid specs on M1 MacBook Air 8Gb. But yeah, I realized that if you want to play aviation sims you have to spend money on a good PC setup to really immerse yourself
@@Napoleon_e2 i would since if you have the smallest bit of money and common sense you would know there's better sims out there and most people who play roblox sims cant afford good sims which are kids
PTFS isn't marketed for low specs, it's marketed as a simulator, which is does a terrible job at. The only good part about it is just messing with it for fun.
For what it’s worth, PTFS is a good flight sim. It’s _not_ meant to be realistic, however, the physics suck, the flights take only four-five minutes, but it has great mobile support, and it is as big as it can be, as Roblox has a limit to how large you can make a game. It’s even at half scale to make it as large as possible. It’s been around for years, and is constantly being updated by a dedicated dev team. So maybe reconsider your rankings (it’s at least better than flightline).
VTOL VR is a solid S tier game if your into the military side of things but don’t want it to be so simmy you have to read a 100 page manual to get started.
Even better is that it literally has the most realistic simulation of radar/radar cross section out of any game. Even better than DCS and War thunder in that aspect
Why would dcs need the whole world? It's a MILITARY flight sim. When was the last time a f-16 crossed the Atlantic in a ground strike? It's not a flight sim where you hop into a 777 and fly from Singapore to New York
I have been playing PC flight sims since 1994, and have nearly every sim that has come out since then. I have found some of the things I find most challenging and rewarding were in DCS. It was awesome to figure out how to do a full start up and then hover and fly the UH-1. I never get bored doing air to air refueling in the F-14, and now am spending most of my time learning the F-4E. I do wish that DCS had a world map. I also play IL-2, and sometimes MSFS. I really get bored in MSFS, and the most challenging thing I might do is try an IFR flight that is under an hour. The new IL-2 engine, with jets is going to be awesome. IL-2 would be S or S+ level if it had clickable cockpits.
The time I played, flying a small prop with strong winds, the plane was completely uncontrollable, and as the son of a pilot, I know those physics were completely off and ditched the game right away.
@@AviationFun737Slightly. Microsoft Flight Simulator's physics have been constantly updated since the first day it was released. And it's a fact that today they are more than decent. They are very realistic even though they are not as realistic as those of XPlane. But they are not that far off either. But yeah. Even so, Microsoft Flight Simulator is far superior in general aspects.
VTOL vr is freaking amazing. If you NEED the high res graphics and you need the stability of a hotas then dcs comes out on top, but if you can figure out how to operate the virtual cockpit, the immersion of vtol vr is absolutely unmatched.
I completely agree about GeoFs and X-Plane Mobile. Before I learned about cloud gaming I alternated between the two, when I wanted a beautiful plane model vs. better graphics.
I don't think DCS or any air combat simulator will ever get the whole world sadly. As the experience relies heavily on being around other planes, it would be hard with everyone being spread out around the whole world.
@@AaronRheins. I get your logic, I just think that it's a bit unfair. A flight simulator with a group of people working on it is going to be better then a flight simulator with two of three people working on it.
XPlane doesnt have an extremely large dev team, Laminar Research is quite a small software company, just because they have less devs doesnt mean they automatically get a higher placement, PTFS sucks, Flightline is quite mid, Project Flight is the best roblox flight sim but compared to MSFS and Xplane and the big giants, it's quite shabby
Ok dude don’t do PTFS like that, Most if not all of us are using mobile and we can’t play these games because it is the only one we can play. In fact PTFS is the best flight sim here and not just in opinion , because you with never reach the edge of the map, you’ll never get bored, and most importantly, the person who made this is absolutely amazing at this and deserves the credit of a really great flight simulator. I believe that this counts as abusive and hateful content so in that matter I am reporting and unsubscribing from this channel!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Eagle Dynamics, the company of DCS, has a wishlist of combining all of the maps together then eventually within the coming years do the whole earth. But it’s a LOOOONG project but it’s going to be worth it.
Yeah but if they do the whole earth the terrain has to be much much higher quality than msfs because terrain is a very important aspect in combat and affects radar missile guidance
I have MSFS 2020 and I still play ptfs. I, personally, wouldn't put it in F-, but I can definitely see where you're coming from. The graphics are terrible, the physics are terrible, the players are terrible at flying the planes, and it's not nearly as good as other flight sims (or in this case, aviation video games), but it's mainly just for the roleplay/arcade aspect, and another pro about this game is the easily accessible multiplayer, most people can run this game on their phones. Being able to get out of the plane and walk around, and drive ground vehicles is another thing most games/sims don't have (until November 19th!) which is a pro for it. But if you're more about realism, this game is trash and not at all worth playing. I still liked the video though!
Dudeee!!! Absolutely missing out with VTOL VR. I have played most of the flight sim you mention, plus all the arcade ones like acecombat or all the space sims like Rough Squadrons, elite, starcitizen, etc. And nothing is as inmersive as VTOL.
I honestly believe that PTFS Should be better Rated than Project flight, Heres why: PTFS is actualy bad as a Flight simulator in all regards, although, its so barebone that it allows a player experience like littirally no other flight simulator The only reason of that is the fact that it is multiplayer but also that you can actualy go in other players planes, Airport interiors, And loads of ground crew vehicles, Also the large selection of gamepasses at reletavely Low price. This basically Provides for a very flexible experience, those are PTFS Roleplays, Entire PTFS Airlines are reproduced in the community, Air forces, and Display Teams. Also the possiblity to make Movies reletavely Easily like with Freecam and toggable GUI. Some of the PTFS Communities are actually Extremelly Impressive, and No other flight simulator does that at that scale. I honestly believe that Aaron Rheins should make a video called I Tested PTFS Airlines, Because the game itself is only the Tip of the Iceberg.
@@Speedbird205 The first part I do agree, PTFS is probably the only flight sim where you can go to a another person plane and hij- But the rest of the part is literally describing GeoFS💀. Except for the gamepass one because everything in the base game is free, but the hd scenery is like 10 dollars or something. I mean yes, you could run PTFS on your nokia 3310, and you need like a brand new laptop to run GeoFS, but I don't care about those, what I care is the physics. GeoFS physics are like pretty decent for something that is free, but PTFS physics are... So tbh if you have a blackberry q10, you could play PTFS, but if you have a laptop that can run 10 fps on GeoFS, play GeoFS. Not to mention that phones can also run GeoFS (at like 2 fps).
Infinite flight is great, graphically and has good physics. The only thing about it is that you have to pay the premium subscription for the more popular planes. Definitely recommend it thought especially for mobile.
VTOL VR is excellent as a combat simulator. It does not have real world graphics, and the maps and planes are all purely fictional. Functionally though, the planes ( and helicopter) display a love for the craft and functionality of combat aircraft. In the same vein if you don't like VR there is another great game that matches that same description I made, its called Nuclear Option. TONS of fun.
Personal ranking would be (of the ones I’ve played) 1 - FS2020. Is this even a contest? 2 - GeoFS. Very convenient but controls are too sensitive. 3 - Project Flight.
Other flight sims I’d include:
Turboprop Flight Simulator: D Tier.
Let’s be honest, Roblox is not a flight sim
Whoever thinks this is a flight simulator has a pretty big problem.
@@burgadahz17 Or they're ten.

Putting war thunder in this list was goofy I wouldn’t consider it a sim either

1:38 Hi Aaron I totally AGREE! S+ for your rating and the sim itself
@@AVI_KID idk
yeah no. its not near dcs at all in terms of realism or gameplay

While you're in the process of trying Infinite Flight, you could also try Real Flight Simulator. Here's a quick comparison between them:
Both sims offer a wide variety of aircraft, RFS offers more airliners, IF has more GA and Military planes.
I personally prefer RFS, however, definitely give a shot to both
I will say this
The Roblox flight sims serves different markets to mainline one
PTFS:
Offers options for RP and short movies with acess through both PC and mobile. The game's physics and graphics arn't meant to be great to offer less lag to certain people. In a way more focused for a bigger market without spending money on PRO feature on mobile flight sims. Best for Low end Laptops and Phones.
Better then nothing is what I would say
Project flight:
Its the MSFS of Roblox but you can take that statement with a grain of salt.
Flightline:
Flightline tries to incoperate thing that no other sims have done before which include waypoints for AP or crash physics. Its and intresting blend as Aaron puts it as PTFS and Project flight but it does require a meduim end laptop in the end.
Its good but not great.

If you enjoyed DCS, you'll definitely like VTOL VR too. It has low poly graphics, but DCS levels of realism, with some of it's simulated systems being even more realistic than DCS.
VTOL VR has nowhere near DCS realism, but it is a good game
@cardboard9124 in terms of procedures, equipment, and graphics, DCS is much more realistic, yes. But VTOL has a fully modeled RCS system that accounts for angle of the vehicle in relation to you, external pylons, open weapon bays, etc. DCS uses rng for RCS. I'd say at least in the radar simulation itself VTOL is more realistic, even if dcs has the more realistic interface for it.
Bias is real, MSFS aerodynamics are awful compared to xplane
They are quite similar. Both are good xplane is better. thi
Thats on you. He said, hes not rating it based on flight simmulation itself.
:hates on ptfs
:shows a flight of the most outdated plane in the game
it sucks anyway 🤣
The newer stuff is good but not amazing. Since the game is made entirely with CSG parts models are incredibly rough around the edges. It also lacks basic things such as an overhead panel and display textures on the screens. I will give Orange credit for including unique airline lounges and alternate interiors for some liveries but for the most part PTFS’s models are pretty bad. (The Antonov gamepass is pretty good though.)
Even the remodeled are shits

@@sirquacksly Man, it's his opiniom, don't cry

PROJECT FLIGHT HAS NICE GRAPHICS
BUT project flight is in beta
And in the hypothetical case that in the future it is completely finished, Project Flight would still have nothing to do next to monsters like MSFS.
Project flight on Roblox is actually the most realistic aircraft game ATM.
Fun fact: X Plane 12 is like Microsoft Flight Simulator but with different physics
Better physics

I don't think DCS or any air combat simulator will ever get the whole world sadly. As the experience relies heavily on being around other planes, it would be hard with everyone being spread out around the whole world.
The Roblox glazing in these comments is crazy, grow up

XPlane doesnt have an extremely large dev team, Laminar Research is quite a small software company, just because they have less devs doesnt mean they automatically get a higher placement, PTFS sucks, Flightline is quite mid, Project Flight is the best roblox flight sim but compared to MSFS and Xplane and the big giants, it's quite shabby
Ok dude don’t do PTFS like that, Most if not all of us are using mobile and we can’t play these games because it is the only one we can play. In fact PTFS is the best flight sim here and not just in opinion

As a DCS enthusiast I agree with your ranking hands down.
I honestly believe that PTFS Should be better Rated than Project flight, Heres why:
PTFS is actualy bad as a Flight simulator in all regards, although, its so barebone that it allows a player experience like littirally no other flight simulator
The only reason of that is the fact that it is multiplayer but also that you can actualy go in other players planes, Airport interiors, And loads of ground crew vehicles, Also the large selection of gamepasses at reletavely Low price.
95% of the stuff you said is something that flight simmers won't even care.
@@panoramic_fly depends
@@Speedbird205 The first part I do agree, PTFS is probably the only flight sim where you can go to a another person plane and hij- But the rest of the part is literally describing GeoFS💀. I mean yes, you could run PTFS on your nokia 3310, and you need like a brand new laptop to run GeoFS, but I don't care about those, what I care is the physics.
Second this. Nuclear option is definitely one of my top games right now.
