I was recently sent this pen tablet for the review. I have used many huion tablets in the past, both of their pen and display pen tablet offerings. And seeing and feeling this tablet, one could really feel the increment improvements huion keeps making on their products.
Because of a price tag of just 90 USD this tablet isn't totally wireless but is a great tablet if you are looking for budget tablets with premium feel to it. Really love how the tablet responded to various software it is supposed to work on.

Hey Mubot, thanks for the great review! Just a couple of questions. Are we able to assign several different functions to the touch strip like the touch ring in HS610? Or is it just limited to one function? Also about the surface of the tablet, is it more on the slippery side or does it have just the right amount of feel for drawing? Oh and what tablet do you/wife use on daily basis? Thanks in advance buddy!
It's been long time since I reviewed this and then it was sent back. I think when I had the device, I couldn't get the touch strip to get working. But if you could then it'll be for multi functions.
The surface wasn't slippery. But neither was exactly like paper. I'd rate it 8/10.
She's using wh1409 v2. I recently uploaded its video too. :)

How to use protriate mode for mobile screen ratio in huion 1611
Cool Video! Thanks for sharing! I haven't had experience with the Huion Brand, but I've a XP-Pen Star G640S . the G640S is supporting Android devices. After connecting the tablet cable connectors to the type C hub I connected it to the phone. The XP-Pen tablet mirrored my phone screen. Seems to work quite normally, no lag or anything. I tested the digital pen with Sketchbook and it register the input . it works well .

My lines aren't coming out smooth. I can't tell if that's a result of the program, does it make a difference? Would it be better to use photoshop over autodesk sketchbook?
I haven't used sketchbook personally. So there maybe some troubleshooting to do with that.

Yes. A bigger area helps. You've a leverage that way to have more control with the pen.
How would you connect this tablet to your phone? I know about drivers but I haven't had luck finding one for Android if that makes sense.
There's no need to install anything anywhere for the phone. Just hook it up and it should work.

Hey buddy, just want to ask you if it supports application specific settings. (i.e. different keybindings and pen button customizations for Photoshop, Illustrator, Krita etc.)?

I had tried some shortcuts on photoshop and they worked.
Unfortunately never tried xp pen deco myself.

Hello, I have to buy a tablet and surely will go with Huion though I am very undecided if to pick New1060 plus (the one with 8192 lvls) or this one.Can you give me any advice please? The review was really nice btw :)
I'd say go with 1161. Newer tablet and larger active area.

How good is this tablet for Zbrush or sculpting in general? Any issues?
No issues at all. Worked on zbrush and it was as good.
H1060P or this? Are there no pen pressure leaps? I also read somewhere in reddit there's a driver problem with zbrush. I'd like to know if this tablet is good for 3d sculpting. Cool huge-ass monitor btw.
I didn't face any. But hold on. Let me double check extensively tomorrow again and let you know. Didn't face any pressure leaps too.
That's actually a 4k tv turned Monitor haha.
I just checked the tablet again with zbrush, and did not face any problems what so ever. It worked like any other huion tablets I've used in the past.
One more question. I saw that the tablet is quite flexible? and does it result in faster damage / spoilage?

Although i feel this model is little bit expensive as we have to spare little more money on the screen guard and gloves. how to install huion inspiroy h1161 driver please
It's on their website. Just run the setup as admin.
I'm torn between buying H1161 and the H1060P. Both are sold at the same price in where I live and have very similar active drawing areas. Do you have any suggestion on which to buy?
I'd say go with 1161. Newer tablet and larger active area.

No not a problem. And tilt worked fine but didn't test it extensively.

It's compatible with most applications.
Have you tried HS610 from Huion? How does it compare with 1161?
No I haven't tried that.

I think the most apparent difference between the 2 is active area of h1161 is bigger. And has 2 more keys on it. I'd personally prefer the bigger one. Also I've not tried the h950p personally but I guess the surface is almost on the same technology. :)

@@renzochavez7161 The left buttons and touch strip worked great. I was not able to figure out the top number strip workability, so can't really comment on that.

Do you recommend it over HS610? What is your opinion on xp pen tabs? And comparison of huion and xp pen tabs in general. Quality issues, customer service etc
I think 1161 is marginally a newer model and has a larger working area. But if larger area isn't your priority then you can go with HS610. Never used an XP pen product but have heard decent reviews of it. Customer support of Huion in India is decent. I personally haven't tried it so far though.
@@MrMuBot i Heard hs610 has some issues with the pen functionality? Moroever I am getting hs610 at around 4.8k and h1161 at 6.2k. Is h1161 worth the increased price?
I think so. In my couple of weeks of usage, I didn't face issues with 1161. But I've not used 610 though.

They're all same.

Please advise will this be suitable for left handed designer like me? Soft keys orientation will be strange and downward..please advise. Thank you.
Sadly, I don't think accessing those buttons would be easy. I was not entirely sure if the soft keys even worked or not. At least I wasn't able to figure that out.

Soft keys must be activated in the driver.
Letters are set on the soft keys. Simply click in a text box with the pen and then press one of the soft keys with the pen and letters will appear in the text field.

Yes. I think there is a way to do that in the driver settings.

No I don't think they will bother you. They're disabled anyway and I couldn't figure out how to turn them on. :)

What is the difference between this and HUION h610 pro v2 ? and which one is better ? And are the extra features in (hs611)worth the $30 extra? ? For beginners and for using other design programs not just drawing !?
H610 Pros are pretty old tablets from Huion. But they are good if you are just starting out especially if the difference is $30.

Just install its driver software and run it. You will find all the settings and options to customize it there. :)

I think so. It can be generally used throughout windows in any software.

Ah I didn't try this on multi screens but on a 4k screen instead. And it was seamless. I don't think there should be a problem with multi screens too though. The huion wh1409 v2 works great on multi screen.
I have this tablet and krita doesn't recognize pressure. What do I do?
Are you sure you enabled the pressure settings on the brushes which have that option on them in krita?
Nevermind, just default krita brush doesn't support pressure. After I have chosen some different brush it worked perfectly.

H1161 has more working area than HS611. They mostly perform the same.

I have so far not faced any problems within the warranty period. But I would have contacted the seller if anything happened with it during the warranty period.

Sir I'm confused between Hs611 and H1161 ? Though their stats are same (apart from a slight increase in size for the latter), I am a bit allured by the aesthetics of coral red variant of the Hs611. But it costs 6600 @Amazon and this one is @6100 @Flipkart. Also the space grey and starry blue ones for hs611 are 5800@Flipkart. It's all making me dither.😂😭😂😭
I would have bought the cheapest one. :P If the reduced size of HS611 is fine with you then go with it. Finding the right size without using for long is the trickiest part before buying a tablet. But if you are more into sketching and painting, the slightly bigger size can help you more.

Seems like both are equally good and use same specs but H1161 has just a little more active area to work on. Looking at the minor price difference I would definitely go for H1161. :)

Well I have a trusty MP3 player and I download a bunch of videos along with some of your dat I haven’t watched on a micro SD card so I won’t be bored when electricity runs out. And guess what, I have a battery bank so I don’t have to worry about battery!!!

@@MrMuBot Our institute. Our faculties say that HUION is our exclusive partner and it sends the tabs directly to us without any medium. So yeah, as there are no other medium or middle man the price will automatically be very low.
