honestly it makes sense. if your arm shot up so many times. all the tissues, tendons and bone practically obliterated. You'd have to amputate the arm arm anyway.
Barret is the best character in this remake games. Is actually insane how much his writting improves
The voice actor does an amazing job with him
A lot of it is John's performance and the direction he was given. A good deal of Barret's writing is faithfully taken from the original game, with some additions to flesh out his character.

Best FF7 character. Hated him in the intro but Barrett really grew on me. Especially, when he told Cloud he was wrong about him at the reactor.

I really like dyne better here than in the original, tbh and the voice actors are incredible to top it off. This is MY opinion. So if anyone is butthurt by my comment, just move on and ignore this comment

@@tonberry2670Because there are FFVII Purists thinking that parts of Remake & Rebirth were entirely butchered & ruins what made the original FFVII special to them.
@@SparkingHeroThey kinda do but that's a problem the entire FF7 Compilation suffers from, not just the "Remakes". If Squenix was actually upfront from the very beginning, most purists wouldn't even bother to check this game out.
Kinda wanted Barrett and Scarlett to have more interactions
I always had Barret fight both Scarlet and Heidegger in Disk 2. I wished Barret personally told Scarlet that "this is for Corel!"
Barret’s a strong guy and had like 20 seconds to lift Dyne up before Scarlet started shooting but he couldn’t?
I kind of wish that, instead of making him have to amputate his arm they went for it, actually making it come off like in the original.
True, I wish they made it look a bit more realistic. But then, it also makes no sense when you slice enemies with a sword, they don’t get cut

Exactly. He got hit by 1 bullet and lost his entire arm and then acts like he's not able to switch it out with a mace and crab claw.
It got shot through like a dozen times

In the OG it looked like he got shot once. Here you can see the bullets hit so many times. With that many hits, it'd have to be amputated.
