From what I've seen in Tiberian Sun, Anton Slavik was a soldier more than anything. He didn't commit terrorist acts against civilians, but mostly relied on surgical strikes performed by task forces to make the attack of the main forces easier. That makes him my favourite character in the Tiberium universe as a whole.
Before Kane's Wrath I was hopeful the one Inner Circle advisor you saw on the last few levels was an older Slavik.
@@Nuuk_Nuke_Nook Well, I don't remember any in either GDI or Nod campaign, and especially not during the Firestorm crisis. The thing against the Forgotten with stolen GDI units was a low blow, that's true. But you can't name one operation where Slavik ordered killing civilians.

That goes for the stealth generator of the Stealth Tank, and the IR scanner of the Attack Bike...
The Beam Cannon's cannon is an exception though... Double the lasers, double the fun...
I always keep a nuke ready when that happens. I'm never disappointed.
Despite losing the first 2 Tiberium wars, Nod seemed to grow stronger after each defeat instead of weaker. In the first game nod was nothing more than a very large paramilitary terrorist organisation with no real hope of defeating GDI out in the open. In the 2nd war, Nod technology went full out insane with their developments in all fields but most notably Artificial intelligence. It was also very clear that GDI had to keep the various NOD groups against each other as they represented a very severe threat.
By the third? Nod Ruled over 60% of the world's populations and succeeded in their ultimate goal. It is a massive shame that Command and Conquer died as a franchise soon after because I would have loved if the story progressed and went to a crazy all or nothing war among the stars between the 3 known factions.
I think a lot of what could have been but at least I get to play as the Brotherhood of NOD in Stellaris.
Writers had to keep the story going IMO. No logical explanation for their continued growth and GDI somehow being completely unaware every single time... but it’s a game, and they need an “other side” to fight that feels like a credible threat.

@@JDothan The prevalence of NOD is likely as a response to the increase of both GDI power and Tiberium takeover. NOD always recruited from the more 3rd and 2nd world nations and with the apocalyptic spread of Tiberium their influence spread to even first world countries for recruitment. Its no accident that GDI controlled the more well off blue zones while NOD secured the impoverished yellow zones.
nod has no ethical boundary for research, thats why they could harness AI, tiberium base weapon, cyborg, or even using flamethrower in battlefield is illegal as far as i know...
@@JDothan NOD has outpaced GDI in stealth tech in every war with each war showing clear improvements in this tech over the last. It makes sense to me that, despite each loss, GDI misses some critical lab still containing their research data, along with the Black Hand spreading Kane's word to the impoverished and forgotten masses in the Yellow Zones.
GDI's presence is near zero in those zones. Of course the majority of the world they abandoned would resent that, especially when the Brotherhood offers shelter, food, and other vital essentials in those zones in exchange for covert smuggling of key information, supplies, and tech.
Essentially: NOD has a lot of backers, both in corrupt rich elite and the impoverished people in 2nd and 3rd world nations struggling to get by while GDI focuses strictly on tiberium containment.
Poor Slavik. Such a great character and potential. When I started C&C3 I thought I shall see him and I was dissapointed after I haven't...

If a more proper sequel to C&C3 had been made, and CABAL was reintroduced as a playable faction, I think it would've been cool if Slavik returned as a cyborg commander under CABAL.

Definitely my favorite sub faction, both lore wise and I'm terms of the absolute flaming blue Hell you unleash on your opponents. Two things, first Purifier may be technologically inferior but is much more useful without having to eat their comrades, two blessing the Purifiers? Have we found the long lost predecessor of the Adeptus Mechanicus?

Can we take a minute to admit how genius the Black Disciple program really is? Every unit is able to annihilate entrenched infantry while still maintaining their original purpose.
If the black hand would still utilities cheap militant squads this would be broken. So it is ... still broken. You just win the entrenchment combat.
You gotta wonder how many times Kane has to come back from the dead before these Nod leaders will learn to stop denouncing him after he has supposedly died. 😂

@@kalivexllith4437 No, it would not. The story was too cheap and to dumb for C&C. A series that, at his peak, had a T-Rex as playable character and a UFO as a standard unit.
The production value of that story was worse than in the 90s when they filmed the story with like 6 guys.
The gameplay itself was hindered by the always online DRM.
And if you got to play the game it was a mix between grindy and boring, nothing to write home about.

Haven't played Renegade X. Most of my free time nowadays is spent making videos like this. I always liked the concept of the FPS RTS hybrid game though.

Discovered your channel a few days ago. Loving it so far! I first played CC on N64 when I was a young teenager. Loved the game. Then got red alert, loved the movies such high quality for a game back then. Then RA2 & YR. Finally got CC3 and KR and have been playing the Remastered CC and RA as well as KR recently.
Then discovered your channel. Thanks for all your content! I myself play the Black Hand almost exclusively but it's a shame they don't have stealth tanks as those are my favorite to use when playing against the Scrin.

If your talking about Marcion. I disagree. He had the same zeal as Slavik, yet challenged Kane and formed a splinter faction. Marcion had balls to form a new theocratic military, Slavik was Kane till death. Marcion for me.
@@Amp661 what I find interesting is that Kane didn't kill Marcion, he left him in place, under him, and kept the structure of the Black Hand intact. Perhaps he agreed with aspects of Marcion's motivation. Though not that slander

I've been always interested to know where Yuri got his army and technology from in Yuri's revenge DLC of RA2. It'd be so cool if you could be a vid of the tech that Yuri poses in that game and how he ended up acquiring them. For example, the UFO flying thing ... WTF is that? and how did Yuri ended up owning and manufacturing them?
The tiberium and red alert timelines are connected, so maybe he got them from Nod.

The very first song during the opening dialogue is called "Crimson City" but the one immediately right after it is called "Guilty Pleasure." Both are composed by Steve Jablonsky who composed the entire C&C 3 Soundtrack. "Guilty Pleasure" is the Nod victory theme that plays at the end of a winning match.

Is there a way to play Commander's Challenge on the PC version of Kane's Wrath?
I’m not 100% on this but I think the black hand has access to Spectres, but they do not have stealth and neither do black hand commandos, and I’m not sure but can black hand build two commandos?
Your right about the black hand spectres and commandos being available but not having stealth. I should of been more specific about that.
Your also correct that they can build 2 commandos, and that both commandos have full veterancy as well. That was something I missed when making the video.
I always liked the black hand faction ever since renegade. My only wish was for them to keep the chameleon stealth troops. How cool would it be to have them in c&c3. Wonder what their design would of looked like?
Nod seems to have gotten shafted in terms of their epic unit
I mean, even the footage shows that the rage generator doesn’t work that well
it seems that if the enemy units are already attacking the won't change their target to their own allies until the the first thing they were firing at is dead. I remember when I was doing Kane's challenge (I have the xbox 360 version) I was GDI and the opponent was the Marked of Kane, but unfortunately I was not playing aggressive enough to things were already going wrong. The thing I remember most was that I had 6 or 7 mammoth tanks and 4 or 5 predator tanks all in the front lines ready to attack a FOB that the Marked made not far from my base when out of nowhere I see the shock wave of the rage generator and al of my tanks start shooting and killing each other and if that was not enough the redeemer and lot of nod units also starting to kill the tanks while they were killing themselves. Long story short I lost that game.

More I learn about Tiberium lore, more I get confused about how can we address C&C: Generals timeline in the whole C&C Universe.
I consider it taking place in a timeline where Tiberium never arrived on Earth. At least not in 1995. The GLA is that timeline's version of Nod.
Generals is completely separate from both Tiberium and Red Alert. Its basically 3 different eras.
It makes a bit more sense if you consider Tiberian Dawn taking place from around 2019-2022, as supported by the guide to Renegade and Nod's intro in Tiberium Wars. This also could explain the spread of tiberium. The GLA anthrax acts a lot like tiberium, so they might be one in the same.

@@Darqshadow That's not what I meant at all. After the Firestorm Crisis, there seems to have been two schools of thought that came about. The older more 'traditional' stealthy secretive 'Kill-them-before-they-know-what's-happening' seen in the Shadow Ops. Then Maricon's schism happened and now there's 'Purge-these-heretics-in-flame-like-we're-the-Imperium.'

His most fanatical warriors went from sneaky sneaks to hey diddle diddle down the middle Crusaders of Nod... right as Kane is attracting the Scrinn to earth; whom spying and subterfuge won't be as good against. Common lore mistake the first tin war was actually in the 2020s and not 1995, 95 was when the meteor hit NOT when the war started.

yeah, we know the reasoning behind the Nod group's name. They are the Black Hand of Serbia from early 20th century. I don't think the warcraft character is drawn from that group for inspiration.

I don’t believe The first war would have begun in 1995, I believe it happened closer to 2005, that would have given 10 years for Tiberium to propagate following the Asteroid hitting Italy.
Quite a migrant group, man, crossed the ocean just to set Australia their new home. I wonder how long did it take for them to dig the tunnels from eastern Europe to Australia.
i they used the nod tunnel transports about 12 weeks as they could tunnel at such a speed to allow an army to respond to any part of the world quickly and were not limited in the depth they could travel at which means they could be deep enough to both cross below the ocean and also not be detected by ground radar
it's stupid that in CnC3 they were made religious fanatics. In tiberian sun it was just elite fighting force, that got the most advanced tech - and stealth devices in the first place! It would be much more logical them to have stealth capbilities and aircrafts in the third tiberium war.

The black hand and the confessors are terror troopers that wore huge evil capes. Also Kane’s wrath is bad because players can only play as cape wearing nod warriors instead of using the cool GDI or Scrin units.
