MERCI MERCI THANK YOU ! I AM A FRENCH WOMAN AND I've studied 3 years in a concervatoire des Arts, BUT I've stopped. And now I know you, and I learn such more than in 3 years ! I LOVE YOUR LESSON MR WILSON THANK YOU VERY MUCH YOUR ARE MY TEATCHER !!!!!!!!
I am appreciating your work more and more as I watch your free video's. Being a visual learner, this is the best way for me to pick up some real talent. Thank you for what you are doing.
I don't know how you do it. Your able to vision this straight from your mind. That's a true professional right there. I have to observe a picture or something that can give me an idea of how to draw it. If I ever tried to vision it from my head, I guarantee you it will look like I learned how to draw from a four year old. I never had an art teacher as good as you. Thank you, this was a very helpful tutorial and you've inspired me in many ways. One day, i hope to be as great as you. :)
Amen..while I feel I have been an amateur for many many years, every time someone like this come along I put it to the test and there I am feeling more professional than before..
You are the best art teacher Ive seen on youtube. Thank you very very much! I espically love your detailed instructions, I feel like it really gives you a great understanding on how to achieve the image you want. A true nack for teaching! haha Keep up the good work and keep the lessons coming!
this really helped me. i just recieved a full paint set with acrylic and oil paints also some pastel. i had no idea how to start. i really wanted an idea of how to paint a sunset and it gave me a good idea. you should make a video like this on how to paint a tree with leaves with good detail.
Thank you so much for posting! My first attempt wasn't as good as your video, but it's really not bad. I think a few more trys and I'll have it down. Thank you Thank you!
Hi there. I just wanted to tell you that if you want to do this, you CAN do this. I am an absolute beginner also. I took a Joy of Painting class about 4 weeks ago and was amazed at what I did! I started watching youtube videos and found Wislon's. I just did the night scene painting that he calls "Shooting Star" and I am so happy with it even though there are things that could be better. So I am going to do it again. Better!! So go for it girl!! You CAN do it!! And when you do, I tell me!
Excellent presenttaion in short time on sunset clouds. He apprciates perspective aerial vs ground and near and far effects and the impact of perspective on visualizing the images. I put this on bookmark for others to see and enjoy. In addtion, it helped me with a sunset painting that I am doing of Martha's Vineyard over sea with unusual visual cloud effects in August early evening. Great show!!! ron p/
Thanks, Jerry! I was afraid of the background I`m paiting for my last oil canvas, and this video helped me a lot, with complete and simple explanations. Keep doing this wonderful videos, master! :)
Amazingly done! This was my first painting ever, without any teacher's assistance & it came out amazing! I just need to know what are the two things you mix & apply on the canvas in the beginning. I don't live in America or wherever you live, so I'm unfamiliar with those brands. Can you just say what they are? In general terms? Can anyone? I need to know!
Are there alternative ways to put that first layer of white before the sky so the colours blend really well? I dont have a way of getting what he used but I love how he blends them. Would painting the colours directly on the canvas change that nice sunset effect? Really nice painting, by the way, and great instructions :D
If you watch many of his video's he does this with all of them, it makes blending the color much easier than if you are using a dry canvas. At least that is what I have been taught and know it works.
Thanks SO MUCH Im so glad u put this on I'm sooooo happy I can't wait to go home get some paint and a brush and start doing this thx sooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!¡!!!!¡
Awesome work! When I'm trying to mix the parts where the different colours of the sky on the canvas meet each other, the one colour covers the other instead of smoothly getting mixed.. what am I doing wrong? :/
To begin with you have to be a keen observer. Shining a light on blank dvd will give you the visible range of the spectrum of light. You'll see the red region on one end moving towards the purple region at the other end, there's nothing else except the absence of light altogether or "black" as is known. At sunset the light is receding from you, and the spectrum is red-shifted, meanwhile on the other side of the planet is sunrise, and the visible region is blue-shifted to those observing it.
OK i new at this painting stuff ...but at school i am the best ( i not pormoting my self ) and i know how to draw very well and i dont know how to paint ....so what i need to know is : 1.what type of color you using ( water or oil ) 2.is the brise 3.how to you get off the color on the bruse 4. is it you alway change you bruse ?? 5. sorry for my inglish
Can you use this technique with acrylic paints? If so, do you need any special mediums? Or can you get away with plain acrylic paint watered down, working quickly of course?
i really did try this one... but i guess i really have to go to a school or get a teacher to teach me the basic cause i dont really know a damn thing... i did and the yellow is tooooo yellow and the red is too red... i think i have to learn more of mixing paints...
