Today I tour through my current setup of the 300 gallon turtle stock tank. There’s not much in it at the moment but I have big plans for this enclosure!
My female turtle bred last year and we needed up with 3 baby turtles and had 8 more this year, all off of a single bred with the male, she didn’t breed twice but ended up with 2 batches of eggs in 2 years
Pleased you still have the Reeves turtles. I have found them to be such a personable species. Share well with most other species on average. Wish I had one of those 300 Gallon tubs indoors right now with the cold weather forecast to last in the UK for a week or more. My outside turtles have had to go in the outhouse as I messed up their brumation by half-heartedly heating the water but not the air in the pond outside. Lesson learned for next year :( Great to see you still posting videos mate.
Shelled reptiles. I am missing your videos. You have made many great videos whether edited or simple raw vlogging updates. Would be great to see you comeback.
He really could be doing cameo, patreon, and be making hundreds of dollars a month. I don’t think he understands he can have merch as well and get small sponsorships
To prevvent bllindness from the uv bulbs place branches with leaves still on them between the basking area and the bulb to act as dappling makers you wNT TO HAVE 3-5 LAYERS OF LEAVES BETWEEN THE LIGHT AND THE TURTLE.
Was that the tank you put in cement stuff to make a land area? If so, how did you get it out without destroying the sides? (cute doggie at the end)..........
I have a rescue red eared slider. I want this for him. I have so many questions. He was rotting in a bucket. Hes at least 20 years old. Question...can he live with other turtles? I was told he couldn't. Does that depend on the size of the tank? I want to make his life awesome. Any advice appreciated.
While I know this has nothing to do with this exact video I need some help because I am dealing with an issue in my RES aquarium and wanted to see if you had any advise. I recently discovered I have freshwater copepods in my planted and my RES tank. I have been told it's nothing to be worried about yet all the turtle groups I follow on FB say I should still do an entire filter and tank cleaning on my RES tank even though it would cause a bacteria bloom they said it should handle getting rid of the copepods yet everything else I've read including the pet stores told me not to worry and that you can't get rid of all of them short of throwing everything out and starting all over. I am so stressed and confused and need help! Should I do a full cleaning or just not worry about it. It's 1 4.5 inch male in a 75 gallon. No fish or anything live besides Buddy (RES) in that tank and it's a bare bottom I already do monthly maintenance on my Fluval 407 and weekly 25% water changes. Please any advise would help ease my troubled and worried turtle mom mind! Thank you in advance.
I did the same thing for my RES but mine is 165 gallon. Its great cuz its so open. My turtle is so comfortable basking above her trough she doesnt even want to go outside. I have an FX6 but your water looks better. The first trough I bought leaked. Not good. I had to completely drain it and have them deliver me another one. I sprayed the second one with that rubber in a can. My turtle is shedding like crazy. Any ideas on that?
It has before. A dehumidifier and house plants in the room helps a ton. Try pothos and snake plants. Be religious on dumping the dehumidifier when it’s full.
It’s not an actual “snapping turtle” it is a side neck species just like pink belly side necks, or African side necks. They are very timid and usually never aggressive
Your snapper has nothing on my friends northern diamondback terrapin, Crush. Kid you not, this turtle went from the size of a quarter to the size of your terrapin in the span of 8 to 9 months. Maybe even a bit less. It's rediculous. No other turtle, not even the other terrapins have gotten that big so fast.
That water is *crystal* clear cannot wait to see the future of this tank!
That dive by that turtle was amazing and that dimond back was really good looking and active
Hey! Long time no see!
The water looks super clear💦
Also do the Soft Shells get along with the other turtles?

That snapper will eventually eat the other turtles. Trust me, it happened to me.
No shit

What brand and watt bulbs do you have and how high above the dock are they? Great video btw
I have a 170 gallon stock tank with 3 turtles in it 👍👍
What is the filter you have running on the tub I want to copy your exact set up
Link to pond filter please

May I ask if that’s an algae eater at the both of the tank? Also what is your mesh made from and may I ask where you get your filter?
Quick question, when it comes to water changes and cleaning .... would you clean those tubs the same way you clean regular fish tanks?
What did u have to go to get them steel tanks not to leak.. looking for something this big for my common snapper.
What dehumidifier are you running. I need to do something for my turtle room.
What about the semi-aquatics you had? Did you re-home some, or?
Hi, do you recommend aquarium gravel for turtle substrate? I noticed you use sand.
I actually kinda liked the basking setup why would he wanna change it? its perfect 🙂
Please let us know what pump and filter your using. I am wanting to set up a 300 gallon stock tank. Thank you.
How do you keep the bottom of the sand so clean?
I want to buy this tub. Where can I get it? Lol
I have a rescue red eared slider. I want this for him.
I have so many questions.
He was rotting in a bucket. Hes at least 20 years old.

What's you option on a Russian torts that is shredding a lot more frequently
Dude I found a turtle I think it's a yellow bellied slider what should I do?
Hey! Where did you buy that big steel tub?? Thanks!
I bought mine at Tractor Supply.
What type of turtle is that on 10:18?
Link to buy this tank?
Does it ever smell with the water? I'd like to do that in my spare room

Be careful with that snapper. He will 100 percent start biting the other turtles once he gets bigger

are you a tower? because eiffel for you :)

The metal will rust and after awhile kill the turtles
