I am now 82 yrs old and have been to 52 countries, walking, biking, climbing, skiing. I read about the war every single day and am stunned and inspired by your national spirit. My hope is that I can visit UKRAINE before I pass on! Slava Ukrani
I am over 80 years old and never visited the Carpathian as I did not Ukraine. This great video has learned me how peaceful life could be so rich of beautiful culture, nature, people, and traditions. It is such a contrast to the news I am watching daily sitting in my easy chair in the Netherlands about the terrible war that is going on in Ukraine. Every day I hope for good news about the heroic patriots defending their country to the aggression of the Russia soldiers. The talking hands of Maria showed me the world of the Carpathians. I wish her and the team a safe journey and Slava Ukraini…!
When Masha opened the door to her cabin and sat on the deck looking out at the silent, unspoilt Carpathians, I fell in love. Ukraine is the best kept secret the world has ever known. ❤️💛💙🇺🇦🇬🇧
From Pennsylvania, USA You make a wonderful presentation, with depth, feeling and a great way of putting your love of the people and country of Ukraine. I have grown to love the Ukrainian people, their land and their music through the magic of the internet.
Wonderful piece. Thank you so much for sharing. I am writing from Appalachia, the mountains of the US. My heart and prayers go out to the people of Ukraine. Slava Ukraine!🙏🙏🙏
The woman near the end, after the dancing, when she says "We will win, and we will rebuild everything! ... And we'll bring back the dances ... Until we come together, until we dig up our roots ..." That unbridled hope really touched me, and I could see that it touched Masha, too. Thank you for sharing this amazing journey!
I really enjoyed this video, thanks for sharing… I visited the Carparhians in the late nineties with a friend who was originally from there… I’ve visited Ukraine several times as we were all in a band and we played in Kyiv and Lviv… what a magnificent country with beautiful people… Glory to Ukraine ❤️
Masha has such an amazing energy! A fantastic ambassador for Ukraine. It's great to hear a good English speaker sharing Ukraines beauty. Please show more like this to highlight the injustice of Russia's invasion. Slava Ukraine ❤ I hope it was zero sirens.
i bet ZERO air raid sirens in 4 days. I was in the Carpathians for a few days in May 2024 and it felt i. some ways a world apart from the war, a place of surpassing beauty and peace. There were many reminders of the war- a funeral procession in Yaremche, many soldiers getting a break from the front, a trauma surgeon we met while hiking. I hope I can return and seek out these particular special spots you took us to in this video! thank you for making this. It was wonderful. i didn’t want it to finish. i loved the dancers. and the trout! and the cheese horses!
Rather place .Ukrainians refused have own state .This gift what they got as independent country first time in history from Russia after collapsed of Soviets , they rubbered and pushed in war . They are tribe of barbarians which want to have fun for the other money .This came from slavery charakter of folks .They do not know what means responsibility for themselves and country like slave who got everything from master . Full bowl big labels on the cloths , huge mouth are priorities.
I can't thank you enough for strengthening my love for Ukraine! The Carpathians are very powerful, refreshing, and steeped in tradition. Masha looks so happy to see you! 💙💛
I love this series so much! Masha Lavrova is the perfect presenter. I'm of Ukrainian heritage born and raised in Canada in the Ukrainian culture. These programs have renewed my desire to visit the country. Slava Ukraini!
Wow Masha and she sings too. You bring us Ukraine in every way its beauty, food, history, culture it is so rich. From the moment I turned on this episode I had tears in my eyes. It touched my soul so deeply must be ancient ancestral memories that ring a special cord with me. The dress, music and scenery as well as just the sound of your language as I only recognize a few words from some study long ago. Thank you, thank you. And such a stark contrast with the front page of the Kyiv Independent which I read several times a day to stay current. This is such peace and that is such harsh reality of the way humans especially Russians have always treated their neighbors. They blame Ukraine and NATO but they did this for centuries. I am so sorry that the same horrors that drove my ancestors to the U.S. from Ukraine in 1917 still go on at Russia's hands and such a contrast to the beauty you show us. Thank you for your insight and showing us your journey. Sending you love. Slava Ukraini, glory to the heroes.
I have been to Ukraine many times over the years. I love Ukraine. In all my times there, I never had the opportunity to go to the Carpathians. I have heard of their beauty. Thank you for this wonderful video. I now know where I will go first and spend a lot of time when I return to Ukraine.
Dear Masha, let me say i am already in love with Ukraine and its people ! but wow , what an amazing beautiful part of your country that you made us travel with you today ! you are natural at what you do , i cant wait for this ugly and unjust war to be over , so i can visit and experience your beautiful country . 💛💙
My family has Lemko roots. They are in the Cleveland Ohio area. I grew up w Bryndza from my Grandmother and Great Grandmother. It was Dad’s favorite. Also Вареники. Вареники з картоплею і сиром. 👍🏻👍🏻🥟🥟
Absolutely fantastic video! Masha is such a brilliant and passionate communicator for Ukrainian culture and seeing the joy of tradition, of heritage, and connection to nature and land, is nothing short of breathtaking.
I look forward to visiting the Carpathian mountains of Ukraine, I have been many times to this beautiful country in the course of my work, back when it was part of the USSR and in the early days of your independence. The people were fantastic, really friendly, and if you had a problem they would go out of their way to help you, even though they had very little themselves. I returned there back in 2012 and was amazed at the changes, so much progression in a relatively short time, and I look forward to the time I can return, slava Ukraine
I love this show and learning about Ukraine and it's rich culture and history. Thank you for making and broadcasting this. Ukraine will win. Love from the UK. Slava Ukraini!
Beautiful episode! I've been to the Carpathian's several times, though not during my recent trip to Lviv in July. But it was great to see the market in Kosiv, which I've visited... Slava Ukraini!!
❤ Loving Dare to Ukraine 🇺🇦 so looking forward to the rest of this wonderfully insightful, informative and entertaining show. 🙂 No. Of air raid alerts guessing 2, but praying all of Ukraine will very soon experience none.
Thank you again for this very nice documentary exploring the beautiful corners of Ukraine. That I am sure to visit once, soon, this war is won by Ukraine. Peremohe Ukraini!
Masha I laughed at your cheese “bear cub.” Probably because I couldn’t do any better. I really enjoyed learning about the Carpathian Mountains and the local culture. That is one area on my list to see when I come visit. Lastly, thank you to all of your crew behind the scenes. They help make very enjoyable programs to watch. That’s why I subscribed and donate so I can keep seeing more of Ukraine. Slava Ukraini! Love from Los Angeles. 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇦💙💛
Great video! ❤ With my mom being Ukrainian, I visited Ukraine several times between 2000-2019. I always loved being there and can't wait to visit this beautiful country again once the war is over. Also, thanks for adding subtitles instead of voice-over, so people who speak Ukrainian can listen to it 💙💛 My guess for the number of air raid alarms is 3
My guess is 1 time. Amazing video you have for us! Such beautiful nature, people, and culture. May victory and peace come to Ukraine soon! Slava Ukraini!
Слава Україні 💛💙. I've been to Ukraine many times and I have lived among ukrainians . It has a culture that runs deep if you know where to look for it. under country full of tradition and beauty.. it is a country worth saving at any cost.. Russia has always been jealous of what Ukraine has had in the way of traditional Family values and historical .I haven't yet been to the Carpathian mountains but it is on my to-do list. Thank you for a fascinating brilliant video. Героям слава 🇺🇦🙏🫡 The Ukrainian language is beautiful as it is also fascinating to me.
Great documentary. And she can sing! A beautiful song beautifully sung. Bravo! I've always thought of Romania when I think of the Carpathians. Now I think of Ukraine too. I should visit both.
I just love all that I,am learning about the people and land of Ukraine and all the Friends that I have met in the last two and a half years and to think that two years ago I did not even know where Ukraine was. THAN YOU UKRAINE. (Florida Bob) Tampa, USA.
What a wonderful video!!)) learnt soo much ✅👍 my partner is Ukrainian from Vuhledar but living in the UK and she enjoyed it and tears of joy ran down her cheeks!! We guess 8 air raid sirens 🤣🤣
You find wonderful people to interview, and they really open up their hearts to you. Job well done, thank you for your work. Glory to Ukraine, Glory to the heroes.
Wonderful video of the region my parents were born and like today, they had to leave because of WW2. Both survived and eventually immigrated to the US. They lived close to the Polish border in a small village that no longer exists. Love the cheese horses and the vyshyvanka designs are similar to the one my mother made for me (I still have it although it's a bit tight fitting now). Watching you fish was hilarious. We'll make a country girl out of you yet. I've visited Kyiv but didn't have time to see the Carpathians. Now I must visit! Also, the last piece of music I remember my dad playing on his violin. As for the air raid sirens, I would guess maybe 12? Thank you for a beautiful video of my roots. Slava Ukraini. Take care.Taras from the US.
@@MashaLavrovaKI Masha, I plan to visit Lviv and the Carpathians next year. I'd like to fly into Krakow or Warsaw and make my way over. I've also considered moving there since I just retired. Wish you were giving group tours. It would be a plus having someone with your experience and connections! Keep those videos coming and thanks again!
From your reactions in this video I would you possibly did hear a air ride warning ((I hope you didn't hear them)), this is a beautiful video set in the beautiful mountains and watching you tack time out without your crew was very moving and beautiful thank you for this wonderful video showing the Ukrainian people and how they live in the mountains, Slava Ukraini 🕊🇺🇦🇬🇧🇺🇦🕊

I'm from Zakarpattya and been living abroad for quite a while now. Can't explain why but this episode made me cry (in a positive connotation ofc). Maybe because I miss these places so much. But thank you so much for showing the beauty of my beloved Carpathian Mountains. Дуже дякую усій команді. Дійсно заплакала
Greetings from the South Oregon Pacific Coast and the beautiful mountains of Oregon USA! Because I met a wonderful young couple from Kyiv on the internet, I have learned so much about the beautiful country of Ukraine, and because they are avid snowboarders along with their friends, I have had an introduction to the Carpathians, and now this. So wonderful!
This video was wonderful. I have been to Ukraine, but unfortunately I did not get to see the Carpathians. What joyful and positive people and such a breathtakingly beautiful place. I have felt connected to Ukraine ever since going there. Nearly all my time was spent in Kyiv, where some of my ancestors lived, but I want to see more of the country. I hope to go back there someday soon when it is safe to do so. Thank you, beautiful lady, for making this video and I am happy for you that you are home and rediscovering your heritage.
“Separated from your roots” is an exacting expression. A young person will generate new roots when replanted but that phantom pain never goes away.. it stays with you under the surface 💔
Here in the Chicago area, my next door neighbors are from eastern Ukraine. 😢They love their homeland, and they really miss it. They got here shortly after the war started. Besides my deep belief in Democracy, these neighbors are my only connection to Ukraine, and I have gotten curious about it! That is why I just subscribed to your channel.
Beautiful video presentation. I was in the Carpathians once, for a ski vacation New Year’s 2017. I would love to return in the warmer weather. What a peaceful place! I am guessing 0 sirens while filming. Scotty
Truly stunning the Carpathians are... The culture looks like it would be exceptional to see in person. Thank you for sharing the beauty of Ukraine with us. Super jealous of where you got to spend your time for this episode. Can't wait for the next one! Слава Україні
My Mother and Father were born and raised in the Carpathian Mountains. Their life interrupted by WWII when they were kidnapped by the nazis for slave labor in Germany. But that is a different story for another time. I remember Brynza, it was not my favorite:-) My Father was definitely a Hutzel, born in Sheshory. My Mother would kid him about it on occasion, she was born in Kolomyya. I enjoyed the video. Thank you for filming it. Slava Ukraini!
I think two alarms in four days of beautiful, calm, and enriching time in the Carpatki.

I want to go to Ukraine. So beautiful! Slava Ukraini 💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙
And you have a beautiful singing voice.
Love this series and the approach to knowing Ukraine.
I still have family in the region...now I know I have to visit. you have a beautiful voice by the way. Slava Ukraini
Love Carpathian mountains 😍
Thank you for another wonderful video. My guess is four sirens.
Nice guess.
Lovely country, lovely people, perfect video. Thanks and congratulations! Slava Ukraine!
Hello from Santa Cruz, CA! You and your crew are awesome!! Please keep doing this!!
That is why I just subscribed to your channel.
it is heart-warming to see people from abroad wanting to know more about Ukraine, it really makes a difference
When the war is over go visit, a beautiful diverse country, the biggest in Europe. Ukrainians are lovely people you won’t be disappointed 😊
@@ashleyupshall7641 Oh my GOSH! The mountains! They’re beautiful!
Awesome video!!
Masha's the only reason to watch. Great stories.
Slava Ukraini!
the charisma of these people amazes me - above all masha's
Outstanding!
