This is one of my favorite builds. I wouldn't physically be able to make the bed like that every day, so I would get a hydraulic bed. Then, the seating area could be a guest bed if I ever had company. I just love everything about this build and all the design elements.
Yeah, pull out shelf’s would be nice but so much more involved than just bungee cords. And then you need to think about to to keep them from sliding open.
The backsplash looks amazing! I absolutely love this kitchen. It looks so warm and inviting. This kitchen would definitely help motivate me to want to cook more. I do love cooking, but standing is very painful. I feel like this kitchen would be a wonderful distraction from the pain.
Out of so many van videos I watch, I always look to see where they have their fire extinguisher. Many don’t have one, some have it in the garage, but yours is up front. I like that
The love and warmth you share makes everything so worthwhile. You've turned your van into a home with so much love and joy. I wish you the best in your journeys.
I watch a lot of can builds and always read at least one “wow this is my favourite van so far”.... and for the first time ever, yep! This one is pretty nice! Great job guys 💕🐨
Clever workaround for the butcher block counter! You may have overlooked that your propane line can leak on the way to the cooktop. You should pick up a "normally off 12v valve" and put it right next to the propane tank on the line to your cooktop. Put the switch in a convenient spot in the kitchen. Turn it on to use the cooktop, shut it off when done and let it burn the fuel out of the line (5-6 seconds). If you have a car accident, there's then no chance the line can split open and catastrophically allow gas to flow. It could save your lives.
Hey B Miller, very important comment about the propane, and in fact we already have one in place! 😊 We have our 12V solenoid switch (normally off 12V valve) right after the tank regulator in the propane box. The switch is right next to all our other lights and electronic switches in the kitchen. Thanks so much for your comment, it's a very important for any van builder to have one of these install if they have propane in their van. Cheers!
