I did some digging on the John Hancock note.I saw a $10 John Hancock $10 obsolete counterfeit, and it was said it was printed by Toppan, Carpenter,Casilear, and Company. They were legit printers who made stamps, and also did some notes with watermarks with TCC&Co..On another article is said that most,if not all John Hancock obselete notes known to exist are counterfeits. That was a legitimate bank in the 1850's
I never knew there was so many different types of counterfeit banknotes out there in the wild. aside from the CSA banknotes that are out there. really liked that counterfeit $5.00 silver certificate with chief running antelope.
I had no idea there’s so many counterfeit notes! The counterfeit notes look like a kid drew it! lol Thanks for sharing this vid with you! Blessings always my friend!! 😊🙏❤️
It's a stange thought to me that a one dollar bill used to have enough purchasing power that a person would go through the trouble of counterfeiting it.
Almost every video you do, I end up getting my small collection out and checking something. This time I’m like oh no, I didn’t know to check for that. But yay,all my notes seem to check out. I don’t want any counterfeits unless I know and have them marked as so. I would hate to show off my collection and find out, yeah I got took. Thanks for the informative videos.😅
Love them! 8:10 One of these was up on eBay recently. I recognized the serial number from one of your prior videos. The seller did not note that it was counterfeit. I did not bid on it as I had acquired one more recently. I think it went for about $25-$30 ungraded?

I think this this may be the 2nd or 3rd video I’ve seen about counterfeits. By far the most detailed compared the others. Thanks for sharing.

Great comparison of real vs counterfeit. The John Hancock bank was located in Springfield, Mass. Great Video!!
@@Ontario100 Thanks! It looks like the $3 is CFT but the $2 is real.

Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.
Nice examples!
Great collection - cool to see the original v. the fake. The Secret Service will be knocking on your door.
@@PolarCurrency I’m kinda waiting for it. 😅

@@davidmccormack6357 On the bright side, counterfeit paper money is EXTREMELY rare. It’s not like all of the fake coins you see.

Wow, thanks for the video.
In my collection I have a counterfeit of a counterfeit confederate bill.
So is their a market for these?
@@jeffscaggs5698 For contemporary counterfeits. These are not replicas. These are fakes that were tried to be passed as real.
