I couldn't have said it any better. I still have my original mixtrack pro and continue to use it for most of my outdoor gigs and multiple gig day parties or combined with a lappy in a bag as a rental. The unit just keeps working as it did the day I got it over 7 years ago. Thank you for the best mixtrack pro video. One love.
high key helped me out even in 2021. For a complete beginner this will serve me well!. Thank you.
This is a superb back up controller as well. I have a feeling that these units will be still very popular in the future, as they seem almost impossible to destroy - and that cheap (but thick) plastic is also their pros! Great vid LiXxer.
Lixxer!! Just discovered you because this Numark was my first controller--still is--and I was searching for a video on how to use those upper buttons, which I've never used! I learned on this controller (through DIGITAL DJ TIPS tutorials--you know about those) and used it to play live and to make recorded sets for online radio. It's been about 5 years now and if it ain't broke, it's fine with me! Plus I'm comfortable with it. Although I've been making mixtapes and playing music for people since 1978, I only decided to seriously learn to DJ about 6 years ago. I spin classic old-school jammy jams because I grew up on those--they were good to the last drop back in the day, AND they still make me dance my ass off! Subscribing because I love your spirit, your attitude, and your generosity in sharing your knowledge... much appreciated gurl. Thank you!!
Thanks for being a new sub my baby welcomeeeee
DJ LiXxer, thank you for your review. I just picked one of these up at a thrift store and need to learn everything I can to try and make some sounds with it. I've never done the whole DJ thing before although have worked on getting Serato systems working with high end mixing consoles for customers who do. Just a fun thing for me. If I can do something even close to the little sample of your own work I'll be happy. Thanks again for your positive attitude and information.
I still love my MixTrack Pro. I rocked many of gigs with it. Good STUFF!!!
Love this video. i still got mine gathering dust on my shelf. I may need to play wit it sometime. Thanks
my og mixer when i started in 2014 and still use it to this very day with vdj. u like what u like and i love it.
I just got the numark 3 i am trying to get started just a part time thing to do i always wanted to be a dj but it didn't happen i am a tugboat captain now and i am trying to jump in and have some fun you have given me so much to try and you r my favorite RUclips dj
First time here, loving the video. Subscribed!
Wow I've had the numark controller for about six years. I told myself I wouldn't upgrade until I mastered the controller. I also thought that it was extremely difficult to scratch on this controller and you proved me wrong. I definitely need to step it up.
Start practicing!
The Mixtrack Pro was my first DJ Controller as well. It was a perfect price-performance-ratio to get im touch with DJing. It's crazy/great to see how time flies and how the tech evovles, or where we are now. Nevertheless, I always prefer the 1210/1200s. But for quick gigs on weddings, I would prefer my DDJ SX, because it's so much less work, when you already have to set up the whole sound and light equipment.
MY FIRST CONTROLLER WAS THE HURCULES INSTINCT WHICH I STILL HAVE..ITS ON MY WALL IN MY STUDIO I NOW USE THE NUMARK N4 CONTROLLER WHICH I'VE HAD FOR 3 & 1/2 YRS. I HAVE FULL SERATO DJ AND BEEN DJING FOR 5YRS. DJING IS MY LIFE AND I LOVE IT.
Can’t get rid of the classics man! If it ain’t broke....
I totally agree, IT GETS THE JOB DONE! I have the ll . Great for my starter djs in my company. It's light, yes it's plastic, yes it's inexpensive SO BUY THE CASE. It's durable which is WHY, 6 yrs later u r still using it. I too have a bigger expensive console when the gigs pays I'll drag it out but small gigs, hell even larger gigs this is my GO TO! Numark on point with this unit, inexpensive but NOT cheap
I had one of these jawns....I now use the MixtrackPro 2....
I still have mine. Work like a bomb still. From parties to carwash promotions it's still pumsp one way. I am happy I bought it.
Im rocking the mixtrack platinum i love it!
CJ Fuentes does that run virtual DJ?
You're not alone !!
Great Review. Mine has saved My life so Many times when My Expensive Controllers Have had some kind of Failure. I'll just get this out of It's Box and Bang, Two Plugs and You are up and running again. Like You I will never let It go and Probably also get It Framed on The wall.
You made me changed my mind !! 😀 mines is not for sale anymore!
Mine will be hanging on my wall somewhere soon lol
Awesome video! To the point and very informative. 👍🏼
I was my first controller too and I was using it with Virtual 😭😭. I had to leave it behind when Mac started having support issues with VDJ and so I upgraded to Serato and a Numark NV. I bought a Mixtrack Platinum while I was deployed just because I missed that small practice feel and it was easy to DJ in foreign countries without having to deal with a power supply. I have all of them on display on my wall now lol
Still have mine. Except my 2nd Channel Fader is messed up. Play buttons are worn out.
Thank you! This is great!
Love your videos! can you do a music session using the controller?
Great review! Thanks
Thank you. Very informative 👌
I just found this in a thrift shop and I purchased it immediately because I'm wanting to start making music (:
Un Dj se da a conocer por su capacidad de creatividad, no por sus muebles que trae.
La frecuencia musical es la misma dónde sea. 🎧👍
My favorite DJ great review!
Thank youuuuu
Oh yeah! I gotta catch up with all your vlogging this is dope!!
I have 1 and it really does makes the job done.👍
Memories in one video😭
Still use mine with virtual dj. Im no pro... the mixtrack is no pro bit of kit but it does what i need and keeps a smile on my face doing it.
i still use my mixtrack pro it gets the job done and it does give out a pretty good sound i hook it up directly to my amp
Great review , I am a beginner to learning djing.
It is my first DJ controller as well, did not feel like I need another.
I use to use the ion controller i brought from radio shack 8 yesrs ago to edit offensive lyrics so my kids could listen to my playlist. Last year i got the Mixdeck Express and paid for serato pro and virtual dj pro. It's is nice. Zero trouble at the time.
Lixxer, i'm just getting into turntablism. I noticed you had a decent scratch track loaded over 24k magic and I wanted to know if you had a video on creating scratch files or how we get them? I have an idea of how to do it but I'd love to see how others are doing it.
Hi, nice video! Would you recommend getting this or the Party Mix as my first DJ controller? They're the same price second hand.
The party mix
Hello, Dj LiXxer....thanx for this video,
I just found my Numark Mixtrack Pro in storage
I am about to throw a party soon, however, I can't find my software disk that came with my Dj controller so my question is what is the best software to use with my Numark Mixtrack Pro that will be compatible
I stiil used it as well.
Because it was best quality and very strong.
had it didnt really dig it... ended up getting the Pioneer DDJ-ERGO as a replacement and looooved . it!!!!!! never ever really liked the mix track i remember when it came out.. it's a good deal when it came out it was a good price point... but i didnt mind spending the extra$ for that DDJERGO it was WELL . WELL WORTH IT!!!!!! then i ended up graduating to the PIONEER DDJSX2 in 2015 . STILL USE IT TO THIS . VERY . DAY! STILL ROCK SHOWS! STILL DO WEDDINGS! yep! next upgrade will be the SZ! thats a big ol Beast of a unit but it has a very very professional presentation for certain venues.. and thats important as a professional DEE JAY . your professional PRESENTATION!
Yo big help I'm thinking about getting this as a backup myself. I love turntables mixing but I've been watching reviews on this and year for the price you can't go wrong so yea I might cop it , how do you really feel with the scratching does it delay by a split second that's what I'm looking out for that it doesn't. Love this vid
Scratching is pretty good, now, you won’t cut tf up on it lol but it gets the job done
It's 2023 I found one in a pawn shop to use in my studio (new systems are crazy expensive).
Not mad at you either lol
My first controller too
i found my old one the other day , i have serato for my turntables and plugged this in instead , i couldnt get them to talk to eachother , is there a certain program i need to download to use this with , i forgot what i used
Had mine for about 5 years now and I love it to death, only problem is the touch sensors on the decks have gotten a little un responsive which makes it really risky to perform with but absolutely fantastic for home use
And thats how you do a review👍🏼
DJ Lixxer do you know anything about the Numark NS6?
... got one... it's a TANK!!!
Hey...you still using it...2019 me too...tryna upgrade to cdjs....but there is an audio issue in virtual dj 7......input from speaker to controller is bad....like deck a is audible and b doesn't sound properly....crossfader doesn't make sense....etc
This is a great review, I acutually prefer the original Mixtrack Pro to the new ones, I like the overall new looks of the Mixtrack pro 2 and 3 but the decks or "jogwheels" are smaller and personally for a dj setup I really wouldn't want a platter any smaller than the original Mixtrack , also I think the original has a kind of charm to it, maybe it's just me because me and all of my friends have owned one at some point but yeah.
I am a producer and a wannabe DJ. I am debating on the AKAI MPK MINI (for producing/live vocal chop looping etc, also for playing but I like to draw my notes in),The Novation launchpad Mini(Pretty much for the same thing, just more buttons and no keys, which I would never use the keys anyway lol), or the mixtrack pro. What would you recommend and why? (BTW for reference my current dj set is the numark party mix which isn't suitable for anytype of gigs whatsoever). I also don't have moniter speakers, but I feel like I can get those later on. Keep in mind I am only 14 and don't plan on doing any live gigs anytime soon. Thank you in advance. Love your personality btw.
Awesome video!
Great vid...I bought the non-pro version back in 2015 from a guy off of Craig's List when I was living in Birmingham. I was curious and didn't want to spend too much coin on it just in case I didn't like or became too busy w/ life. It's a great starter controller and since I was already involved in creating my own music, I had an audio interface to use in order to setup cueing on headphones and monitors separately. However, I could only get Mixx (DJing software) at the time since my coins were low, but I did a few gigs for charity and later on, I DJ'd my wife's graduation party when she got her masters degree.
I rather not purchase new gear since I'm only a hobbyist, but I'd like to get software that would be much more compatible than Mixx.
i still have mine and i also have piomeer Dj700 media players, but i'll never get rid of mine either.
i still use this controller because i dont want to have a shift button on my controller is there any recommendations for upgrade ?
Love your tips been checking in for a while now 👌🏾😎
Wat software is ur laptop as it used to work only on vista n xp
good review :)
Nice. I think I'll go for this one, it's next to free.

Hey I have a important question I have a numark mixtrack controller the one made before the numark mixtrack pro does that controller work with serato dj pro ???
I’m not sure. Website will tell you tho
Hey! i’m looking for a software to use, i’ve tried the first 2 and traktor but i might’ve had the wrong version cause my mix track pro wouldn’t connect, help!
Dom serato or virtual dj
numark sound is pretty good, had a mixdeck express and sound quality was great. Hoping the pro is better... :)
Omg can you make a video on how to scratch I have a Numark Mixtrack Pro 2
I learned on vinyl lol. But I’ll be having a scratch tutorial soon. Thanks for watching!
Just found mines around the house 🥺 I'm thinking on sale but I'm really thinking now.
Yo Lix,
Whut Tune Is In Ya Intro
✌🏼✌🏼
lol i still have this i freaking love itttt
Mixtrack Pro>>Mixtrack Pro 3>>Ns6ii(Current)...That Mixtrack Pro will always be my first love...did a lot of amazing parties with that controller...💯
The basics!!!!!!
good shit
Its 2021..Since the pandemic last year, I am using the first edition of Mixtrack that came before this PRO version.. No Audio Output .. Only USB. The browser knob, play & cue buttons already broken.. I only left with the jog wheel & Crossfader to work with. If only I can afford the later model with RCA & Mic output. Oh Well.. Until the clubs and festival reopen , I have to work with what I have. Scratching on the Jog Wheel feels just like a turntable.. Especially the black platter. ⚫
i need a pre used nurmak pro 3
can u help me....
which track were you mixing?
Damn, i like that. Respect from Russia!
I use a Hercules Remix, foreva.. I just upgraded this year to the Pioneer DDJ SX2..
Steady Manos the Hercules is classic. SX2 is pretty damn awesome too tho
Long story Short, I thought I finally hung up the headphones, been DJing since 1988, so I traded my JBL speakers for the Pioneer.. but guess what the new pioneer got me juiced that I came out of retirement.. just bought some new EV ZLX15P.. Done already 10 gigs and got 2 more by the end of the year.. My work schedule don't allow me to do to many gigs. I just do it as a hobbi.. I enjoy ur video blogs.. www.edeejay.com/profile-527736/video/
Steady Manos that’s dope thanks for checking me out!
Yo I got that rmx too. I use that now as a midi controller but no lie it sweet. I just didn't like scratching with it
Hard Rain Entertainment I haven't used it for a year, I still have it..
Would this work with DJay Pro Software? I'm going to be the DJ for my buddies wedding and would like to have a table since it is for an event not in my house. However, I would rather not buy additional software as well. Thank you in advance.
Not sure never used it
Yes it works with djay pro
What DJ Program do you use???
How do i get the mic to work?
CAN U USE WINDOW 7 TO NUMERK CONTROLLER
Still got mine
I dig it. I am still using a mixer that I bought brand new in 2005, the Numark DXM06. I have never had any problems out of it, and I have been doing some serious turntable work with it. I even bought the updated Black version of it, the X6, which did not sound as good as the original. If it still works, then keep at it. Once I get tis bread up, I definitely will replace it with the Pioneer DJM S9. I will do a similar review on it soon.
Gone do it then 🙌🏽
DJ Valentine where hour work
That was dope fucking scratching where u Learn those Technics
Hey man thanks just practicing! Have come far got a far way to go as well haha
Does it require software
Just subscribed just asked a question about the same product too funny
Sample the "Rock the Bells from LL Cool J.. then when u say don't forget to hit the Bells, slap it on.. Rock the Bells!!!
I have two of them
Test of time. Very cheap and works.
Yessirrrrr
I really tried to get into this back in 2012 buttttt it was really dope I remember trying to go Fb live and I kept getting banned so I really didn’t get into as much I pretty much used this with virtua Dj lol 😂 it’s a great basic controller fr fr I just found it and I’m gonna try to hook this up 😂 somehow
i trying to get a software for this
I used to have that same mix pro and even when I had it it sucked. The sound card sucks even getting an adapter and it still sucked. That piece of junk cost at $ 300.00 when it came out. This piece of junk not worth the money. The booth output was garbage. The master output was garbage. I finally gave mines away. Be real with this review your making this piece of junk to be the best when it came out come on.Not even starting out I would just get a pioneer controller way better option..But you still got the ending part 100 percent on point but I'm glad I got rid of mines. But I still subscribed thanks for the upload.
Just literally sold mine
Are you kidding me, I have the mixtrack pro 3 and only one output but not one input. I feel like I got bamboozled
Tenho uma muito boa🔊🎶
Just bought one to mess with.
Only Traktor right ?
Hood Review VDJ, Traktor, Serato
