Doesn't matter the platform, doesn't matter the genre, doesn't matter the game - on this channel, the opening track is always gonna be an absolute banger.
The psychotic episode in the swamp, lost and surrounded by building radio static. The glowing yellow eyes and screams of the main character. Still sits with me.
Rrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiggge RACER! Remember that one. Lol. Gets me every time. Great vid TENSION. I remember popping Haze in. And popping it right back out. Disappointing to say the least.
I remember the hype for HAZE back then. It was the Cyberpunk 2077 of it's time. When it finally came out, it was a wet fart. What a disappointment. So glad I didn't buy it.
I remember reading the pre-release stuff for this and assuming it was going to be solid. But then I saw it in action and I’ve never become so disinterested so fast. TimeSplitters was such a gold standard, but this was as generic as it gets. Thank you for playing another game so I don’t have ever have to. But I think I’d rather play State of Emergency 2 over this one. Awesome video. Keep them coming, buddy.
Man i really love your videos,i always listen to them while im doing every day stuff at home, can you please talk about old assasins creed games or the ubisoft drama? I would really like to hear your take on that
Yeah the PS3 price was one of the main reasons why the 360 shot up in popularity which is probably why we got so many good games on it later on since so many publishers decided cross platform cashout
Still got my PS3. Wanted to sell it at a store last year, but the shop owner recommended me to hold on to it for a couple more years, since it might appreaciate.
I'd definitely keep it, I still have my broken one. But at least PS3 emulation is really good these days. Homie at the shop defo was being real with you though
I'm gonna be honest, I put this game down after the first driving experience.😂 The color palette of this game is not pleasing to my eyes, either. Thanks for making an hour long video about Haze fun and interesting. I really enjoy your videos, man.
Still like the premise of Haze, too bad the game didn't turn out great. Reminds me of Shellshock 2 Blood Trails, another FPS that flopped but had a neat premise behind it. At least we eventually got Spec Ops The Line in 2012 that delivered on being a modern Apocalypse Now. I was a Halo fan back then, but I liked Resistance and Killzone too. Shame Sony has got nothing like those games now. And I was mega hyped for MGS4 too. Up there with the hype for Aliens Colonial Marines, but MGS4 was actually good.
I'm shocked you finished this turd, I quit half way during one of the pickup driving sections filled with glitches falling out of the map, literally unplayable. And I'm surprised you didn't mention the annoying "Remember your promise to Merino!" war cry the NPC companions repeat ad-nauseaum during combat sections. This game does not feel like work, it felt like torture.
I never played this so thanks for the rundown! Cool music too, nice work. One thing I wanted to chime in on, on a totally pedantic note at 12:55 you said a sergeant giving a sergeant orders would result in a fistfight. In usual circumstances, maybe, but in the modern armed forces in the air force, for example, you'd still call an E-6 or E-7 "sergeant" even though they'd technically be a tech or master sergeant Additionally, its always "billet over rank" in the Marines, so even if it was two E-5 sergeants, the individual with the higher "billet" (squad leader, platoon sergeant) would have authority to command personnel of his rank, and even a higher rank. Which is why enlisted personnel can give orders to commissioned personnel in training schools or exercises. Anyway, love the vid!
Didn't even know the ending is just the opposite authority figure wanting to replace the bad guy LMAO that is such a bad twist to end on. Why didn't the game go on to the point where you kill him too and put an end to Nectar?
Okey let me sum up my opinion on your stuff . Clean edit , super interesting topics , nice recording voice and you produce some beats on the side ??! Dope af im subcribed now and ill keep on checking on your dope stuff :)
I like your videos and your analytics, this is a good one too. About Haze, I just heard this game is really bad and I was close to buy this game on my ps3, but after this Video, I choose no XD
Doesn't matter the platform, doesn't matter the genre, doesn't matter the game - on this channel, the opening track is always gonna be an absolute banger.
Definitely Killzone was the 1st "Halo Killer" I remember also.
37:40 I recognize that Patrice O'Neil laugh anywhere!!! Nice pull, man.
I remember being so hyped for this game.
Same. Thought the screenshots were so cool 😆
one positive that haze has going for itself is the game cover being available as a psn profile picture, it looks that good though

The best scene for sure.

Yup. Big poop sandwich.
This is the type of game you will see being played in the backgroud of some late 2000s TV shows
Absolutely loved TimeSplitters Future Perfect, this was legit the most disappointing video game I ever had the misfortune of playing.
Such a high with Future Perfect, followed by a chasm with Haze 😩
I remember the hype for Haze, im sad it was junk. I do remember playing Resistance, and being impressed with the graphics at the time.

Oh Nice, Regardless of the game's quality, I always find such analysis engaging. Its interesting how people look back at something like this.
Cheers. Thank you, man 🤙

Definitely keep it. Has some of the best exclusives ever
I'd definitely keep it, I still have my broken one. But at least PS3 emulation is really good these days. Homie at the shop defo was being real with you though
Another banger Johnny, and excellent cut away clip choices
Remember picking this up cheap and learning exactly why it was so cheap. Great trip down memory lane, as always!
🤙 thank you, man.

The piss filter era of gaming is always classic. I've only found one game where bloom made it look cooler.
12:00 Dan marino just for that funny line I sub
Laces out, Dan
Love this channel
Love to you 🤙

Anyway, love the vid!
Cheers, man. In the Navy, we just kissed until the problem solved itself.
Heavenly Sword was awesome. Resistance 1 was solid
Killzone 2.
Tbh I loved all 3 Resistance games. Heavenly Sword is underrated AF.
@@merces47letifer4 2 is better than 1. That damn church level😡😡😡

the game itself may be ass but nothing beats that era of bro dudes killing bad guys (or being bad guys)
I'm working on a video for that very concept...
@@HyperTensionJohnny this is exactly why you are the best channel on youtoob my man
We have Halo at home
12:53
You former or current military? Cause this is way too much of a specific reference lol
Surprised the Korn track wasn't mentioned
Lol yeah Jonathan Davis LOVED Haze. Oof.
Also, what do you think of the Silent Hill 2 Remake? You're working on a review, I assume?
Okey let me sum up my opinion on your stuff . Clean edit , super interesting topics , nice recording voice and you produce some beats on the side ??! Dope af im subcribed now and ill keep on checking on your dope stuff :)

GRAAAAAH I LOVE HAZE™️ (2008)!!!!!!!
We lost battlefront III for this game. A game that is literally a worse version of F.E.A.R. 2.
I like your videos and your analytics, this is a good one too. About Haze, I just heard this game is really bad and I was close to buy this game on my ps3, but after this Video, I choose no XD
Another killer video
I only bought me a PS3 to play Mortal Combat (2011)
Haze. A game so dumb it killed the studio
It killed the studio behind Timesplitters, IDK why you would claim this game to be anywhere near impactful to the PS3.
Patrice o’neil laugh 😂😂
pretty ok video
Rrrridge Racerrrrrr!
This video is just your opinion 😂
Mantel. Mantél.
Remember your promise to Marino!
im new sub
