After dropping 37 on the Miami Heat three days before, Kobe came out firing right away with 21 points in the first quarter. After a Lamar Odom triple put the Lakers up 102-97 with just under 36 seconds remaining, it seemed that the Lakers had their 7th win in 8 games in the bag. However, a pair of threes by Mike Bibby and Brad Miller sent the game into overtime where the Kings ran away with the game. Kobe finished with 51 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists.
