“how good is this kid”
Ur not gonna believe it.
The best
He was more impressive as #8
And LeBron is a billion times better

" How good is this kid" they had no idea.
Most DIDN'T but Jordan & Jerry West KNEW HE WOULD BE a ALL-TIME GREAT🏆💥💍!!.
It’s been over two months and still doesn’t really feel real. Through all the pain and mourning we’ve experienced in these last couple months, there’s also been an abundance of reminiscing and cherishing of Kobe’s career. I felt like I was already long overdue for uploading new videos, but after the unthinkable tragedy in January and everything that’s been happening in the world lately, I knew I couldn’t wait any longer. So whether you want to relive your favorite Kobe memories or just need some basketball to watch while the season is on hold, please enjoy this game-by-game highlight of Kobe’s first championship series. More soon!
kobefan124 man... welcome back !
thank you so much for doing this
Good to have you back brother
kobefan124 thank you so much 😊 please do more
We really appreciate your work. Thank you very much, these are very much needed. I personally missed you and keep it up!
I don't want to hear "Shaq carried Kobe" anymore. It took two. Kobe is goat of Lakers and top 2 ever to play in my opinion.
The one that keep saying shaq carried kobe are not a true fan of lakers...
He didn’t carry him, but he was the better player at the time.
@@chitownkidd33 you mean more dominant force (freak of nature) haha
Kobe was the better player and far more skilled. Shaq was just huge and a beast
Ian Washington Kobe was in no way shape or form a better player then MVP Shaq who had 3 40 point games in that finals. To attribute it to merely his size is disrespectful to how skilled Shaq was as a player, you don’t average 38 ppg on size alone.
@@chitownkidd33 size has a pretty big thing to deal with it. Sure he was a skilled big man but how hard is it to dunk on every body. Skilled players can hit free throws. Can Shaq shoot fade aways, 3 point shots, dribble around you, spin, go under you and also dunk on you like kobe could and he was smaller. Anybody that knows basketball knows it takes more skills to play at guard position. Kobe had it all and was a better player with so much in his arsenal. Like a said you can't teach size but shaq might be the greatest skilled big man but not skilled player.
Imagine being 21 and this being you. How could you be humble?
Game 4 of 2000 NBA Finals was the rise of Kobe as huge clutch player.his poise was remarkable cool
'Fro-Be' was dangerous, and believe it or not, underrated...it's hard to say that, but back then, he was. NBA was still a Big Man's game, and Shaq was the MAN!! Giving him the MVP wasn't a crime, but I know that Shaq appreciated Kobe more than anyone.
@@lamontmelrose7640 shaq in 01 called kobe the best in the world🌎
@@lamontmelrose7640 thank you! i tell people people all the time frobe was the most complete player in the league back then. could score every way possible, super athletic and could finish around the rim. underrated playmaking and super physical and great on the defense end
And easy on the eyes!
No, game 7 vs Portland this same year. That was truly special. He orchestrated that comeback.
"I don't get 5 championships here without him" - Kobe's comment about Michael Jordan 🐐 in the Last Dance Documentary
Everybody said 00 was an easy ring for Kobe, but you see on this clip how special he was on 4th quarter either on offense or deffense.
Especially when Shaq fouled out in game 4
Daud Aria exactly!! He’s in my top 3 in my list!!
Not everybody.. haters only.. and lbj fans
I saw this whole finals series and boy it was not that easy. That Pacers team was tough. Kobe held his own and proved how great he really was and it gave him a lot of confidence going into next season. Like Kobe said in an interview, if Shaq has his work ethic, they could have won more than 3 rings. Problem is they could not put both their egos aside but nonetheless they did their jobs and won 3 of them. RIP Mamba!! 🙏🏽
The Lakers would NOT have won that series without Kobe. He singlehandedly won Game 4 in OT after Shaquille fouled out (a horse🤬 call for #6, BTW) ... which essentially sealed the series for LA.
Damn, I was just watching Kobe highlights earlier today and this came up in my feed. R.I.P. Mamba. My favorite player of all time.
He’s my favorite player of all time too and the greatest laker to wear the purple and gold
Rest in paradise Mamba!!!!. #RestIn Paradise
When kobe became Kobe Bryant
Kobe deserved to give his Hall of Fame speech and see his statue outside of Staples Center 😢
KOBE & SHAQ. Best duo ever.
That Afro gave that man the juice! Damn he had swag on the court...he knew he was the shit
💯
No cap
You gotta know before others do, that’s that mamba mentality 💛🐍
After THESE finals is when I REALLY WANTED to grew out a AFRO like Kobe!!!!. #restinparadise
Never forget.... Shaq and Kobe best duo ever.
I’ve been a Laker since 1988. Kobe’s death has made me embrace the Legacy of the Purple💜 and Gold💛.💯
We have our "God" now (so to speak) it turnt religious 😂😂 and it's still fuck Boston 👌🏾
RIP Kobe Bryant my favorite basketball player ever and childhood hero and your beautiful daughter GiGi Bryant it was awesome to watch your career
I just love Kobe’s confidence. 👍
I was born Inglewood in 1983 .. was pissed that we traded Divac for a high school player...but then learned we had the same Bday.. August 23! Followed by providing my town with 5 more championships.. our bond will never die... RIP mamba!
Home of Paul Pierce 😭
I understand you
I remember being about 9 years old watching this finals and rooting for the pacers but looking back now I’m glad Kobe got to win this he deserved it!
Actually same with you
Sometimes we don’t recognize how good some players are ether because you hate them or don’t play for your favorite team.
Of course you guys did 😂 typical haters
where u from?
Rest in Paradise Kobe and Gianna #MambaForever
Man, just up late reminiscing. Like most die hard Lakers and die hard Kobe Bryant fans, it's like I knew kobe. Growing up watching kobe grow into a dope ball player and an awesome dude, creating a family. I'm still grieving over his loss.
RIP KOBE
The thumbnail is iconic. I remeber the scenario the conditions the variables. Kobe telling the world, I GOT THIS. WE GOOD. CALM DOWN. ILL CARRY THE LAKER NATION ON MY BACK. It was cocky. It was the truth. RIP Kobe. He did it his way.
From a life long Spurs fan.
I was the same age as Kobe that moment. For him to tell everyone I got this then do what he did on the road in Reggie Miller's house with Shaq fouled out. Kobe made me believe anything is possible and age doesnt hold you back..
Watching Kobe Bryant Highlights Are So Different Now Kobe Bryant Is The Goat No one Has Better Highlights Then Kobe Bryant Big Facts i miss Kobe Alot And Still Hurt...
Somehow it feels he's still with us now. With some many basketball players, celebrities, and normal people share their own stories with Kobe, you feel he's never been away. Some of those stories are just normal, even tiny stories, but they've got the warm human touch. This is a cruel world, but Kobe's legacies and stories encourage me to become a better man.
Kobe Bryant gets a championship for the finale. He had won many championships.
😃😃😃💯💯💯💯💯💯✌✌👍👍👍👍
Kobe would have got 7 championships if David stern didn't veto trade of Lakers acquiring Chris Paul from New Orleans Hornets
Of course man.
@@seanfelder3286 yeah and.mj.would.have got 8 or 9 if he not retired twice,mj and kobe the goat
@@seanfelder3286 And MJ would've had 8 rings if he didn't retire lol..
"I don't get five championships here without him." - Kobe comment on MJ in the last dance documentary 🐐
Jalen been getting cooked by Kobe for decades
They must be mad. No more mj, then here comes kobe with the same style. 🤣😅
Jalen was giving buckets tho 😭
21 years old Kobe out play the most improved player that year Jalen Rose
Literally mastered MJs moves.
I wish people would stop saying that. He appropriated some of MJ moves but he was much more versatile than a turn around jumper.
@Lando Kobe was still a very good to great athlete though (being inferior to Jordan doesn't mean you're not elite athletically). His issue was more shot selection due to his dare devil style of play. He was always trying to put pressure on the opposing team, even if it meant taking low-percentage shots at times.
@Tom Ross TV maybe. Mj does it with precision per kobe. Not all mj got copied with masters. Hehehe.
Fro Kobe was my favorite Kobe
Same. I told my dad that if he cuts my hair for the Spring and Summer, I want The Kobe Afro.
12:07 damn look at kobe's head. Legend! R.i.p. mamba💜💛
Mj #1 Kobe #2 he doesn't get enough respect
Happy Birthday Kobe 🎂 thank you for leaving these great memories with us
Young Kobe was on air springs. Unbelievable!
It’s a year today! R.i.P Kobe Bean Bryant! Such a inspiration to everyone. I don’t even know you personally but it broke my heart when he passed away. Black momba out
Kobe was a Legend.
Afro Kobe was my always my favorite. Like I always say there’s 3 Kobe’s
1. Pre Afro
2. Afro
3. Post afro
Frobe
James Kaloki low fade Kobe(2003) probably the absolute best
Dude the post afro one was deadlier cause he added that 3 point shots which none of the previous ones had.
He did a 360. He came in bald and left bald.
Tiny Raised Am I the only one that think 24 was better than 8? Yeah Frobe was bouncy and dunking over everyone but 24 he was balling putting up huge numbers
He was good when he came in at 17. But this was the beginning of his greatness .
He was mentored by Eddie Jones who was basically a younger Ron Harper pre-injury...it was like having Kyrie mentored by a young Vince Carter.
Imagine its a close game and your facing kobe
I was in that time for Indiana because of my follow Dutchmen Rik Smits. But the young Kobe here was unbeatable one on one. He’s definitely in my top 5 greatest ever.
You’re doing a great service to the basketball community with these videos
Kobe was so fun to watch! He had such an amazing jump shot, so many moves and was always clutch.
This Was The Hardest Championship To Win Outta Of This 3Peat Team
Would’ve loved to see Kobe vs Jordan in the finals. Lakers not making it to the NBA finals vs the Bulls the year before and then Jordan retiring this year I think makes that one of the biggest what if’s in NBA history
I can't, I can't watch any more of KOBE'S highlights without my eyes getting watery😢......MMMAAAMMMBBBAAA,OH MAMBA...R.I.P. KOBE 💜💛
Shit hurt 😢bro ❤
We forgot how good of a passer Kobe was during those years. And how much he really valued Shaq
Watching young Kobe play I can feel his electricfieying energy his skill level was so high this is only his 4th year in the league and playing like a veteran.. and Shaq was virtually unstoppable it's automatic in the paint with Shaq nothing was stopping him r.i.p Kobe Laker's in 4
Glad you’re back, this video literally gave me chills
I can’t believe I was 3 when this happened. This was why I became a lakers fan. 🪦 RIP Kobe Bryant 🏀
Thanks for the upload man. Reminds me of when I first fell in love with basketball.
They were trying to hurt him on every single jumper.
AA AM you the typa person to say the NBA is soft nowadays smh this is how it was it was physical
@@brigwalter9471 bruh they can be physical without the need to fucking injure each other. Jalen undercutting kobe on game 2 was just dirty plain and simple.
John Bautista soft
@@brigwalter9471 lmao boomer.
John Bautista I’m probably younger than you I mean I’m only 14 but everyone always calls the NBA soft but apparently this is too rough
Just makes me tear up.😥
Magic & Mamba my favorite LAkers.
Kobes smoothness and beuty of ball handling during this period was unmatched
The cold blooded assassin the HeroVillain the greatest of all time Kobe Bean Bryant.
Kobe is an Awesome Player !!!!,RIP KOBE AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER!!!
Kobe hurt himself and two possessions took place before there was stoppage of play for him to leave the game. And then he was almost off the court before anyone checked to see if he was ok. Man, what a different time...
Kobe was so young in 2000, announcers didn't want to hand him a greatness label. Even though that's exactly what was happening. Kobe was beyond his years his whole life.
Came here seconds after i saw this video of Shaq where he says they marketed the rivalry between him and Kobe. Look who’s running in Shaq arms first after the victory…litteral chills.
Never thought that you or Rahul would ever come back... thank you... KB forever 😔 ♾
The NBA was much more exciting and athletic back then…
Frobe was dynamic. Ahead of his time. Timeless player. RIP
I missed you Kobe .
Shaq and Kobe best duo.
I cant imagine how shaq remembering this amazing past memories 😢 i miss kobe man
The refs kept letting Rose undercut him time n time again 🤦🏻♂️
I don’t get it
oh thats because it wasn't illegal back the, it was an unwritten rule among players not to do it but the refs can't call fouls for something that wasn't in the official rule book
Watching that made me wanna punch Jalen in the mouth if I ever see him 😡😂
They didn't really watch for that back then
Levanesh Kitnasamy stfu
@@amirhassan6458 Kobe eventually got his revenge.
BTW, just in case nobody ever tells you, you do great work big bro and I really appreciate what you do ✌🏾
“Kobe can’t pass” lol Kobe the GOAT 🐐
He can pass if he wants to. He just pure scorer
@@tubenachos yeah. He knows..
This person is just being sarcastic..
He can pass when he trusts the person he's passing to can score. He passed during the Kobe Shaq era and the Kobe Pau era. When all he had was Lamar, he scored 81.
Not even top 15.....stop it
Only stupid idiots believed that
His J was like water out a faucet!!! Its nothing but lace👑🏀
We all know that Kobe and O'Neal was a verry high tandem ever....RIP Kobe ...♥️
I noticed that if any of the Lakers besides Kobe scored, the Lakers bench would go crazy. Kobe does an amazing move and makes the shot....they just sit there and stare with no movement. Old vets hating on the young man. Only time the bench was going crazy, was when Shaq fouled out and Kobe took over.
Also, I saw Kobe drawing 3 to 4 defenders and dumping it off to Shaq for an uncontested dunk. How the heck is that Shaq carrying Kobe?
Real Good Kid!!!!
U DON'T MISS IT...TILL ITS GONE. I MISS YA KOBE.... BETTER DAYS HOOPS.
First upload in years. I’m so happy! Thank you for this. Long live the mamba 💜💛🐍🐐
Kobe Bryant Is The Most Clutch Player Ever..... Shaq Fouled out And He Took Over
Kobe was and will always be the great and Magic, Lakers for life
3:04 was intentional. Jalen Rose admitted it.
4:25 was the refs now watching Jalen Rose's closeouts on shooters.
11:45 was Jalen Rose *still* trying to hurt Kobe on jumpers.
Damn, i didn't noticed that :0
He was the OG pachulia.
And still Kobe came back out play him and won that chip
No one on that pacers team who can guard Kobe
Imagine their frustration? Hahaha! No more mj, but here comes kobe. Lmao!
Yeah he shot 36% averaging 15 points tho 😂
Reggie Miller outplayed him in the series
Kobe Bryant you're the greatest no doubt 👍
Kobe playing basketball is thing of beauty
Young kobe ♥️😔🙏🏼

I'd give you another like but you're at 24 likes and I don't want to mess that up.
Such a great team, and they only got progressively better, first beating the Pacers 4-2, then beating the 76ers 4-1, than New Jersey 4-0. Absolutely legendary team. RIP Black Mamba Forever
Welcome back brother
Super Tuff🐐
Kobe Bryant got itself back in too the game 🎯
Kobes crossover so cold
You can’t watch this and not look at Kobe jumping into Shaq’s arms 😭💛
Thank you for this!!!
Kobe I miss you so much. 😢
KOBE IS A ONE BAD MAN UNSTOPPABLE 💜💛💜💛💜🏆🏀🐍🐍🐍
His numbers weren't great in this series because he was dealing with a major ankle injury from game 2 onwards. That's what made his performance in game 4 that much more special. Had he not been injured he'd have the same numbers he had in 01 or 02 finals.
Jalen Rose punk ass hurt him on purpose. Like zaza pachulia did kawhi leonard
He was sorry in game 1 as well and there was no injury
@@xaviervega468 shaq took 31 shots in game 1 while kobe had 13.
@@kobischpiek8520 And there was a reason for that. It was Shaq's team
Shaq: I couldn't do it without Kobe.
I agree had Kobe not gotten Zaza by Jalen Rose, he would average like 20 sum points per game. Also, Kobe was shutting down Reggie Miller when he was healthy. Coming into Game 4, he was rusty and he didn't have any sleep which amazes me how he even played the game.
Man Kobe was crucial in that finals. Probably would've lost it without him.
Game 4 yes. Every other game not so much. Hell Shaq won the first two games with Kobe doing almost nothing
Kobe is AMAZING! He's the best, It's hard on everyone who loved to see him play, here today and gone tomorrow. Lord the heart break on all of us especially his family, his parents and his sisters. We will always miss him, Always and Forever Kobe! Always!
Kobe was Jordan Zero, and i loved every minute i got to watch him play. Goes to show that it wasn't just Shaq, but the dynamic duo of Shaq and Kobe. Wish they could have stayed together 3-4 more years..
I know this is all about the GOAT but poor Mark Jackson
I just wanted to mention, Kobe's stats are a bit underwhelming because he got injured for one game.
In terms of skills and talents, Kobe is no. 1 l
R.I.P. Kobe!!!
"They've already begun his therapy. They have used two or three different kinds of ice" wtf😂😂
I CAUGHT THAT TOO 🤣🤣🤣🤣 TF???
yeah umm what kind of "ice" lmao
Vanille strawberry and chocolate
3:07 why in the heck would you not IMMEDIATELY call a timeout when your star player is writhing in pain on the court.
The Lakers were build different
@Ricky Quevedo thats a good point I missed. So technically they used a foul instead of a timeout...I'm not a big basketball watcher anymore and forget the strategies. I'm a college football fan.
“He has that little medium range jump shot. We talk about it being a lost art in the nba. It’s either a three or all the way to basket.” Wouldn’t have guessed that was a quote from the year 2000.
