  • This event marks the publication in French of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche's new book In Love With the World, A Monk's Journey Through the Bardos of Living and Dying (Fayard Publishing). The event was organized by Rencontres Perspectives. This book is a rare and intimate account of the near-death experience of a world-renowned Buddhist monk and of an experience which changed his life for ever.
One summer night, at the age of thirty-six, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, a renowned meditation teacher, author and abbot, sneaks out of his monastery and decides, in the greatest secrecy, to abandon the comfort of his life and the prestige of his name. His solitary journey will last more than four years.
We follow this human and spiritual adventure through all the states that the traveler goes through: the enjoyment of freedom, but also the difficulties of extreme loneliness and discomfort. For the abbot has chosen to experience the greatest destitution and it will cost him to approach death. This episode confronts him with his fears, but above all it brings him a new wisdom that he transmits to the reader with frankness and serenity. The answers to the most overwhelming anxieties are often found outside our comfort zone and seeking difficulty to better accept it allows us to transform our fear of death into joy of living.

does anyone else find the sound on this video to be very dim? I can barely hear it (Admit I am a bit hard of hearing, but other videos are coming through fine). I wonder if it is something that can be adjusted on that end. Two of my favorite teachers! They are so wonderful, Thank you!

    Precious Reading validated:
You saw 'BLUE sky with the SUN SHINNING' ? That is the 'TAA GE RAA NING WAAFO MAA' in Yaakthung language.
That is the only 'ULTIMATE PERSON' which is called the GOD or the Creator etc also . Since you saw it during your accidental samaadhii -
I validate that your enlightenment is full and of the highest order. You may teach on your style meditation because that worked for you .
Follower meditation practitioners must not be disappointed for not have seen the 'blue sky with shinning sun' like Mingur did, that is because the rate of such enlightenment type is not even one person in several billion people.

You dont get it!....Your comment is so uninformed & ignorant..it is just your opinion(even though you may be well intentioned) The blue sky can be" touched" for a couple a seconds by anyone... each day... & slowly slowly you become more peaceful & happy for no reason..there are many videos by Yongey Minigyur Riponche explaining it in baby steps.....its true very few beings ever become enlightened.....hes not talking about that! maybe you could watch other videos to get a better understanding... i wish you luck on your journey

@@willywagtail8607 Jk Krishnamurti extreemly regerted being so foolish in wasting all his live time for not have lernt a single teaching of buddha towards the end of his life after meeting Satyanaryan Goyinka. Mr Goinka actually was teaching AANAAPAANAA SATI - that was only one of 84000 medation techniques. Here Mingyur Rinpoche is also teaching only one teachnique that worked for him. Do not just sit thinking '...these are just concepts & pointers', It is more than that. Do it now and you will not regret at the death.

impermanence is not momentariness. get good at explaining it. its not hard, stop being satisfied with being minimally effective.
