Shadows of doubt is an interesting concept, I’d love a “stalking” feature where you can tag certain npc over a long period of time to learn and exploit their daily schedules. Though typing that down now seems a bit creepy on paper.
hahah it’s ok it’s just a game…. that honestly might be a feature, who knows. The dev seems to be very detail oriented
That’s a feature.
Voxel games are a great topic to cover, thank you for this
I am so pumped for Shadows of Doubt. Ever since I saw the trailer and read the description I've been in love with that game. I got lucky and was part of the closed Beta month or two back and loved the game. Definitely my most anticipated game of 2023.
I like the idea of a pixel reinessance, where using much more advanced hardware and graphics devs are still using pixels to tell a story or create otherwise impossible mechanics
Instead we have just a trite graphical style.
I was looking at Voxel based games because of Enshrouded and happened across your video. Thanks for the recomendations, some great looking games here 😊
Lovely overview! Thanks!
Awesome video, thanks for the upload! I'm mind blown by voxels since I played voxel Doom today. Nivalis looks freaking insane. Playing 1000% sure.
I know right? Voxels make a game world look so pretty. Have you played Cloudpunk?
@@nocapsbb I haven't heard of it before, but it looks just like my thing! TY for telling me!
Thank you very much, I'll definetly try shadows of doubt and am looking forward novalis.
Thanks for giving these niche games some recognition. I've got some new games on my radar thanks to you.
It's such a shame mainstream games journalists are so bad at actually covering *games.* I never knew any of these existed.
that's one of the main reasons i started this channel. i've always loved learning about and researching smaller upcoming games, so i wanted to share that with other people who may not have the time/energy to do so :)
I think Nivails looks cool and is a cool concept
Nivalis looks so dope! I hope it comes soon.
So glad I stumbled upon this lovely channel ❤
These look AWESOME! Good video!
Love how calm you voice is.
The algorithm randomly brought me here but damn. The selection of games look great
I had heard of every game showcased in this video apart from Ronin Trail, so thanks for that!
You should check out John Lin's voxel game, it looks absolutely beautiful and has great physics. He has not uploaded in a while but im certain he is still working on it
Great video!
I like your style. Subbed
Your voice is so chill✌🏼
SELACO look's amazing, im getting the demo
Thanks for this list. Beautiful, smooth voice btw.
I like the look of selaco
Reminds me of the 24fps style from spiderman: ITS / ACS
2:14 TRON in Nivalis. will be buying.
I love that I found this channel cause of Hades 2. Could you say what plays in the background?
downloading selaco now, shadows of doubt is a really good game, everyone should try it. very atmospheric, mechanics work well.
Ronin Trail looks so cozy
It’s not all tear down it’s not all tear down it’s not all teardown
I could listen to your voice all day and night...
Back when pixel art had a renaissance everyone was excited about. This is another step at that direction.
Late to the party, but I am very much going to vouch for shadows of doubt here. As of now (12/22/23), it's in early access and even with that title it feels like a finished game. Yes there are still bugs like people walking on air sometimes but the entire game just oozes with life.
this is truly the most voxeling of all time
Do voxels have to be cube shaped or can they be sort of a slope
I'm pretty sure they're cubes. do you have a certain game in mind that uses different shapes?
Voxels in games are generally defined as cubes but the visual geometry within them don't have to be cubes. 7 days to die, is a great example of a fully destructible voxel game that has improved over the years no longer looking like a cubic block world. Biased opinion, but my favorite game. =)
@@nocapsbb I believe I was thinking of things like tombstones and other real life objects with slopes, I figured the cubes could be cut in half like that.
They dont have to be cubes but they do have to be in a regular 3d grid. Cubes fit that the best.
@@lengors7327 ahh thanks!
thanks
Voxels are absolutely the future of gaming. Imagine scaling things by a million or a billion. True physics in a "solid" world.
Surprised you didn't mention John Lins Sandbox tbh
Good video, no cap.
thanks! hope you found a new game from this list
Missed john lin’s sandbox
Really looking forward to nivails
i'm hoping Stray will fill my cyberpunk exploration itch a bit until this comes out
@@nocapsbb same, another game that can be like that is emprioyn galatic survival , you could make a cyber punk city
Tear down has left the chat😂
Wonder what’s the future of Voxels game for console 🤔🥰😄
2255 💀
aright ima put it on my Wishlist for great great great descendants
***weeps at the fact you called Ronin Trail minecraft with hd shaders***
ok but minecraft with shaders is beautifulll I swear this was meant as a top tier compliment
Real Chads play Comanche Gold 😂
I may use voxels for a fighting game idea I have -- I'm shocked there are no beat em ups or fighters using them yet. Seems like a cheaper solution to the pixel art style that used to be common in the genre.
ancient ass video
Selaco is just a DOOM mod.
It used GZDOOM engine to make the game. It completely on it's own.
Selaco is not a voxel game
it has destructible voxel objects, but yeah you're right- my bad
It uses GZDoom and it has some voxel models, but yeah it's not a voxel engine. Also it already has a date for it's early access, may 2024
Minecraft
Almost none of these is actually a voxel game, as you can't rotate pixels on a voxel envrioment.
That has to be Voxels converted into polygons
You're tripping. None of those games are made in voxels. Only teardown. Selaco is a GZDoom game of all things. They might have some voxel objects here and there, like the Banana in Selaco.. but 99% of everything else shown in this video (except Teardown) are not made of voxels, they are just simulating the look somewhat.
Many of these aren't voxel games. Lol.
I got tricked into buying that cloudpunk year ago or more.. looked cool ... ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY IT
The best looking upcoming voxel games, including:
1 non-voxel game.
1 game that has a voxel hat.
3 games with voxel-style graffics, but non-destructable environment.
...1 of wich has been out since 2020...
Well, at least games are good...
P.S "Novalis".
since when does a voxel game require destructible environments..
