We have electric power steering from Super ATV. I depowered a "power" rack so it's still a quick ratio but we run a 1.6L engine for rules so the less drag we can have on the motor the better which is why we don't run the factory setup Power steering is way better than manual for this sport.
@@Toadatx i run a dp miata also, but underpreped for now. I run 245-45-15 rt660, oem non-ps rack and steering is too heavy. Hows the feel with an electric ps like yours? I’m lloking at buying the epower steering kit that uses a chevy motor. Thanks!
@@benoitvaillancourt3851 We ran the chevy equinox setup for a few years and when it failed we changed to the SuperATV unit. Both feel similar to the factory hydraulic power steering and any power steering you choose is going to be better than manual steering for autocross. I have no trouble "feeling" what the front tires are doing with this setup and always encourage people to run power steering if they are on the fence about it. Glad to hear about more D prepared cars being built. They are a ton of fun to drive.
What is your power steering setup? Steering looks light and quick! Great run!
