So many cars and a capacity crowd, great atmosphere, for me the hit of the night had to be Patch Beasley on the number 15 yank, flat out all down the straight and then full on into it!
Most of these cars cost 20k plus.. and then theres the extra for all the armouring and cheating ironwork! Real bangers has died and been replaced by armoured car racing
I'm some ways yes but look at some of the hits that go in nowadays. If they were built how they used to be people would be getting seriously injured. And world final cars have always been built to the max
If the sashe or anything is cracked or it won’t pars a MOT as it would fail then the is nothing as left for it so they get raced and put on a good show
I love bangers and I am a regular at Aldershot and was always at Plough Lane Wimbledon. I still don't believe that all of these very rare classics are scrappers. Just take a look at the condition of the bodywork on those Mk1 Granadas. Those 2 door Granadas are super rare and desirable and I reckon many of them were on the road just months ago. Please tell me I am wrong. Nothing against all the scrap shitters being bangers raced but it is truely heartbreaking to see Mk1 2 door Grannys and Jag XJCs being taken from us.

That night racing should of been in the day, took the edge off it, less cars each race, massive effort and cars for a bit of a meh factor. IMO
A few good hit's , looks to me speedwank have finally tamed it ,,, shame.
I've noticed at Aldershot Raceway the last few years had far less action in all formulas compared to say 2018
