- Lorde is love, Lorde is life. I am a Solar Power defender, a Melodrama Obsessor, and a Pure Heroine purist. I am very much invested in the Lorde dynasty, and am so FOR the multifaceted artist. We love miss Lorde. So ready for Silver Moon still WAITING for precious metals. But yes, Lorde was quite literally the first artist who really changed my life and has most certainly shaped who I am today as an artist. I’m endlessly grateful for her ability to set public boundaries for the sake of her well-being and her art.

About the shush thing, it’s very interesting how that happened in 2017/2018 and no one cared about it for years - in fact, it you read some reviews of those concerts, critics were pointing out how that was the highlight of the night. It was Tiktok who took it out of context and made it seem like a joke.

I remember thinking the same thing! The Shushing wasn’t such a big deal when it actually happened; some people liked it, some didn’t, but that was that. Then a few years later a clip of her performance was on tiktok…and so many people were so mean about. They didn’t know the full context of the performance and saw it was a way to be mock someone.
i will never forgive men for how they treated lorde when she was a 16 year old little girl trying to share her art. how dare they. she did nothing to deserve it
I respect that she does what she wants how to - she doesn't follow a formula and I hope that that brings her happiness. This is assuming, but I believe she's an introvert and I can't imagine what this kind of spotlight feels like for her. Even for the biggest extrovert on the planet, it can be a lot.

i will always know i was on the right side of history with solar power dropped. Also, I’ve been to Lorde shows and they are meant to be smaller, intimate and emotional events, far cry from Eras Tour. In context, the shushing just isn’t that weird.

I knew I was a fan since her 'goblin dance'
My dad died right around lordes last album and Oceanic Feeling hit a nerve within me that was very cathartic. The minimalism of that album makes you really feel the magnitude of what rarities make that album. It's the experiences timing and how that affects our perception of the art that makes them so special to us... sometimes it's our connection with our peers and all of our combined experiences with an album. Sometimes it's also an isolating experience like solar power
Pure Heroine came out when I was 12. It changed the was I perceived music. Every album has came out at pivotal points in my life where it was just perfect.
