I have a bachelor's degree in Architecture and drafting, had a summer job in construction, worked for 3 years as a drafter, and was consistently the top performing drafter at my last company. I'm 200 applications deep and have been rejected from every drafting position I've applied to. And can't even get a first interview for any construction jobs.

Not sure if you’ll see this but I think you’ll appreciate- Lorde has synesthesia, which is pretty well known, and I also have synesthesia. One form of it that I have is auditory tactile synesthesia, which means I feel music/sound in my body. I dance like Lorde, and I believe it is due to her synesthesia that she feels music this way!! (My personal beliefs are also that synesthesia is a spiritual occurrence, but that’s a different conversation haha)

As someone who has been having a mental breakdown and dealing with an egotistical, stubborn store manager, I feel you. I am tired of dealing with despicable managers and customers, which has been enough for me. I have been applying for jobs like bookkeeping and welding in my area, but none have contacted me. This job market sucks.

Yeah, taking the tests and quizzes has become almost insulting. And yeah, I had an interview where it was on ZOOM or something and my picture was on the screen but the guy on the other end was just talking, no picture. It just seemed so impersonal. Worked hard ALL my life. Paycheck to paycheck. It wears on a person, now I am 60.

If only I had a magic power to mind control someone to hire me, that would be great. You just wave your hand in the air, and it pretty much goes like this. Person: You will hire me. Hiring Manager: I will hire you. Hiring Manager: Alright, you got the job. Welcome aboard.

I’ve spent 1-2 hours everyday for the last 8 weeks looking for minimum wage jobs. I’ve applied for 120 jobs , got 3 interviews and nothing. Not to mention I’ve actually spent the last 3 and a half years looking for work as I’m only a teenager trying to get my first job but still nothing. A lot of adults do complain that they can’t get jobs in their field that line with their degrees but some teenagers can’t even get a job at McDonalds these days, crazy world we’re living in 😞
