That’s what I’m thinking too. I think the 16 inch screen is beautiful but the 14 inch version is already hefty. I don’t need to make it even heavier with the 16 inch.
This will be my second one. They put these on sale so I can't justify leaving, but it does have weak hinges. I'm replacing it because my screen is hanging by only wires on my similar 1.5 year old lenovo flex. I'm just going to have to be extremely easy on the hinges.
Lenovo YOGA 9i still rocks for a decent quality and best priced laptop 2-in-1 ;) My best choice. Until 2023 CES.... after that we will see what comes best.....
I am so confused. I just bought the Flex 5 16alc7 , an the only pens working with it are (according to Lenovos SmartFind Site) the "Digital Pen" and "Digital Pen 2" no other Pens. Ive checked that with all the pens on there. They all say the 14s and 15 work, but mine doesnt. Now you´re telling me the Active Pen works? I would love to have one with palm recognition. Or does the Laptop itself have it??
Two questions: 1. what happens to the keyboard if you put it into tablet-mode (flipping the monitor to 180°) - is it disabled to prevent unwanted inputs? 2. is it possible to run linux (Linux Mint, preferably) on the Flex5 16IAU7 with 1255U?
How do you detach the screen from the keyboard if you only want to use as a tablet? I cannot find a how to and I'm afraid I would break it if I don't watch how to do it properly.
you cant, the keyboard contains the cpu, battery, ram etc. the display is really only the display. nothing more behind that except maybe the WiFi antenna is on the screen portion aswell but the actual computer part is under the keyboard.

But I have a problem with the language, so I only understand a few of your words about electronics. I hope that you will add the feature of translation into Arabic in all your videos on the channel

1) Yes
2) Should work. I was able to use Ubuntu on an older model of this laptop. But didn't get a chance to test linux on this one

You cannot. Just flip the keyboard back and use it as a tablet

Sorry brother, international language translation is done by Google. I don't have any control on it

8gb of ram is too constrained on windows these days, performance will degrade when multitasking. I kindly recommend you choose at least 16gb of ram 😅
