A quick search tells me that the pronunciation of Frutiger is [ˈfruːtɪɡər] (FROO-ti-gur), but it seems there's a lot of other varying pronunciations that other people use. But after listening to native (Swiss) German speakers, I believe that [ˈfruːtɪɡər] is the closest English pronunciation to the German pronunciation.

This is what the future can look like
I did not expect the Kraftwerk footage at the end.
Nothing's more Frutiger Aero than Windows XP
That background was goated.. thanks for watching!
I'd argue that Windows 7 is more Frutiger Aero than XP due to its glass like textures everywhere.
vista Windows XP is hard to classify
Im born in late 2000s i at least experienced the golden age of the world 2010 - 2015 , im got a laptop windows 10 and i always use extra os extensions to make windows 10 less souless & sterile and more alive colorful , bringing back old featuress
All mainstream digital style eras breakdown :
The Archeique pixel beta style 1980 - 1995
The archeique pixel textured style 1995 - 2002
The fruitger glossy experimental era 2001 - 2012
The fruitger glossy streamlined era 2012 - 2017
The textured flat era 2015 - 2018
The flat era 2018 - 2021
The souless flat era 2021- present
Thanks for watching, I I was born in 2001 so I had the nostalgic experiences that you missed out on, I think only getting a laptop with windows 10 on is a sad thing because windows 7 was the peak of it all in my opinion!
I ALSO lost by DSi in an airport. I suspect that it was left behind on my way out
I’m glad someone knows the pain 😭 losing all my voice notes gotta be the saddest part
Things are just becoming more modern too bad we will never ever relive moments like this after the early 2010s the feeling of this went away.
Either that was the time we were all starting to grow up or yeah the entire world became soulless.. thanks for watching.
@@Rapshout no problem !!
@@SmileMan1111 This is why I try to ignore and reject the modern world.
0:39 where are these wallpapers from? I need a download, they are so pretty
Had to search across the whole internet and there’s still loads I’m discovering to this day but Reddit /r Frutiger aero is prhvably a good place to start. Thanks for watching!

Drinking Game: Take a shot every time he says "Froo-tiger"
Yeah I didn’t know the correct way to say it so I thought I would say it as many ways as possible to see if I would get it right. Thanks for watching !☀️
@@Rapshout I've always heard it pronounced "Froo-ti-gur". Great video though, I miss this era so much!
0:11 if miku dayo was a game..
Liqua Pop is the most Frutiger Aero game I have ever played and I can't find it in the App Store now... tragic
Awesome video!! Frutiger aero and y2k cyber aesthetics are currently my favorite rn!
Will you be checking out Frutiger Metro?
thanks for watching lovivi! I recently watched the first 3 matrix movies and they capture the y2k aesthetic beautifully!
Wow, I also grew up when this aesthetic was all around, but honestly, I thought it was ugly then and I keep hating it now.
Fair enough ☀️
Also chad warden mentioned ❤️🔥🅿️S3️⃣3️⃣3️⃣
love that guy!
I remember when I got access to a laptop for a second time after my mum's one broke, in like 2015-2016 or so, with Windows 8, and I thought it wasn't Windows 😭😭😭

Ayyy my boi Chad Warden. I wonder if he still plays his PS triple
Sony always wins baby he’s playing god of war on that pentuple haha
The way that the name is pronounced in at least 4 different ways within the span of 5 minutes lol
I remember this style quite well, I believe I may have grown up in that era but maybe I was a bit too young idk :/
Nice vid tho!
Thanks I’m still on a journey to figure out the pronunciation haha
I'm just a gen Z, I see club penguin I click
real
A few notes: 1) I love that you decided to use every single possible pronunciation of "frutiger" you could think of so you could at least get it right once. 2) "zite-g'iced", not "zite-geesed" 3) "ep-pit-uh-me", not "eppy-tome"
English can be funky sometimes.
Researching the video and after watching some others it seemed like no one could figure out the correct pronunciation so I thought I would have fun with it. Thanks for watching!
@@Rapshout I don't know how to pronounce it correctly either haha, I wasn't being sarcastic. Thanks for making a great video about one of my favorite aesthetics 👍
What's the background music
0:38 CHILD OF EDEN MENTIONED
You should've talked about windows 7
New video coming soon maybe?🫣
from 2:23 to 2:39 what is it from?
The future that’s in the past
but would it have been the future we deserve?
Great video.
thanks for watching bro more to come!
All this glass and transparency. Now is a massive security vulnerability. This was the litteral last gasps of the High Trust society. We started divertinf to low trust towards the end of aero
Makes sense I’m glad you’ve brought this up it’s nice to know I hope one day we can reform our society and recreate that high trust environment. Thanks for watching !
w video from luke harrison
I allways liked the like the style of Frutiger Aero, so clean and utopian and futuristic, but I never cared for the TV shows, music and handheld gadgets of back then, and I still don't now.
have you never heard someone pronounce words like "Frutiger" or "Zeitgeist" before?
i missed the height of frutiger aero by a few years :(
(born in 2007)
there really won't be a time like that again people aren't creative and expressive with explosive designs and colors anymore and even when they are its not on a big scale everything's repetitive and over-simplified.
As a kid from 2007, watching this aesthetic slowly die out was honestly upsetting, I grew up with ipods, the ps3, the ds and more. Not to mention with buildings as well and how architecture has gone very downhill, take McDonald’s for example, it use to be fun and now it’s all modernised and just so damm boring. Honestly I would give anything to have been born a few years earlier to have been able to enjoy it more :(
facts bring back old mcdonalds
I miss the 2010s
