    Nicely presented Michael ,it all seems quite complicated until I watch this. I think it might really help me cover large fields aa i could build a log of where all good finds are coming up and help build a picture of what was going on and where, also when I am taking my finds to the flow .👍

    My only concern is how safe is the data I store and who has access to it. Does XP track what I'm doing on the app?

    • @xpmetaldetector
      @xpmetaldetector  Год назад +1

      Hello, as written in our General Terms of Use : "The User's geolocation is collected when the Application is activated. The User's geolocation history during a recorded activity, the type of activity, the date, the start time of the activity, the average speed, the maximum speed, the elevation, the geographical position, and the altitude of each point are collected.
      Geolocation data from photos taken during the activity are collected.
      However, XPLORER company cannot access this geolocation data as it is encrypted. Only the User can access this data when connecting to the Application."

    If this is using the phone's GPS chipset it can be very variable throughout the day. Although quoted accuracy on phones is good in field tests they can put you on the wrong side of a hedge from one day to the next. Have you tried returning to the exact recorded find spot several times just to check?

      Hello, sorry for the misunderstanding, this app is an additional service to your detector. You can store all your routes on a secure server. you can add photos, voice and video clips. You can enjoy group sessions with your friends and know in real time what they have found and where they are. All these for the cost of a coffee per month for 1 year.

    • @goldmanjace
      @goldmanjace Год назад +5

      No misunderstanding. Still not free even if it costs a penny. Should have added these 5 euro to the price of the detector and offered it for free to xp users, better marketing that way. This way it makes it look like xp has it necessary to gouge 5 euro a year out of its customers, just makes it look bad. Me, i will not be using this feature and i hope others see iz the way i do to finally get companoes from taking money after the fact. But im sure all the fan boys will voice themselves here. Very dissapointed with xp. Why should we pay xp a cup of coffe every year, why not them us?

    In the age of AI the map app with saving data to the cloud as a Premium option is SO not aligned with the reality....

    • @xpmetaldetector
      @xpmetaldetector  Год назад

      The reality is that it's the first detecting app that offer the ability to :
      - Connect your XP detector to the application.
      - Show TID in real time.
      - Store all your activities with media on a secure server
      - Detect with your friends and see their location and findings in real time.

    • @hexensage196
      @hexensage196 Год назад +1

      @@xpmetaldetectorLook, I'm in product management for many years and I tell you that this app is firstly - not solving user needs (definitely NOT those which have priority to them), secondly - it doesn't solve XP's business needs (increase revenue & marketshare, grow customer base). There are so many cool ways to address both, but that would have been a totally different app. What you released now looks like "ok, everyone has apps, we should too - Jean, you said your nephew student can do apps?".

    A couple of things: if the DEUS can talk via Bluetooth it would be nice to open that up for other headphones\ear buds for summer. I have years of google map listed finds, can I get these imported? With push, it would be nice to have additional hot keys or scroll for find categories to push such as coin, relic, button, hammered, gold on the remote. I would hate to take out my expensive phone every time to do this. More choice icons for finds to eliminate typing with muddy hands\gloves. Detector in one hand, phone in the other, where to hold my digger?
    Can it just record my traveled path?

    • @xpmetaldetector
      @xpmetaldetector  Год назад

      Hello, The Déus can talk some small words in Bluetooth but not more. For your finds, if you have some GPX or KML files, yes, you can import them ! Concerning hot keys, there is already at least 1 function for every button on the remote so we cannot add more shortcut, sorry. And yes, Go Terrain can record your traveled path ! it is its principal goal in addition to recording your finds :)

    I honestly don’t know how I feel about this. On one hand it looks pretty neat, I mean most people like to record their finds. On the other hand, what if you don’t get a good GPS signal if your phones in your pocket? Now you gotta carry it or figure something else out you already have a detector in one hand and la shovel in the other. The video doesn’t say how much his phones battery life was affected. I’m sure that you can save some power by doing the push notifications instead of auto. It would be nice if XP could do what the CTX had in it push a button to log a find point and track your path but I totally get that it’s probably not possible because of the amount of battery power that it takes to do this then again maybe I’m wrong.
    In the end, I really like the idea, but it may be a great thing for others but for me not so much so (well, not yet at least). I’ll just stick to my iPhone camera with location turned on so I can see the GPS coordinates to where the picture was taken. I know that there’s no way I can track my path or anything like that, by just using the camera with the coordinates but at this point I really don’t need that.
    But like I said before, it seems like a good idea and I’m sure other people absolutely love it
