The first on is SO true. I'm into this one guy and I've memorized half his schedule. I've changed the route to get to each of my classes to watched him get to his next class. And I rush my way outta the school so I can walk out the doors at the same time as him and wait near him to cross the street. And I've never ever spoken to him.

I’m glad I was able to grow up in a time when if you liked someone, it didn’t involve anything like face space, snap gram or insta chat. If you liked somebody, you had to actually get to know them and not their projection of who they wanted you to think they were on the internet.

I don’t think it’s okay for anyone to call “dibs” on a person they’re not dating, but it’s also snakey to purposely go for a person just because your friend likes them, or hook up with them when you don’t care about them that much and you also know your friend likes them. That being said, I literally backed off a guy for 5-6 years because my friend also liked him the entire time. I never told her because 1) the crush was involuntary and I didn’t want a boyfriend at the time and 2) I try to treat people how I want to be treated, and if the situation were reversed and I wanted him as a boyfriend and told my friend before she told me, I’d selfishly want her to not tell me and keep it hidden so I don’t feel guilty going after him. So that’s what I did for her. Well it turns out it really hurt seeing them together once they finally started dating, way more than I thought it would. I was still supporting them and keeping my crush on him to myself, but they broke up amicably because he wasn’t the person she built up in her mind. So I got to date him and I’m still dating him. That friend and I drifted apart, but there was never any bad blood between us and she was pretty over the relationship when I started dating him.

I’m glad I was able to grow up in a time when if you liked someone, it didn’t involve anything like face space, snap gram or insta chat. If you liked somebody, you had to actually get to know them and not their projection of who they wanted you to think they were on the internet.

Idk man I've always hated the feeling of having a crush growing up it legit stops me from my track in life and I lose focus. So while literally everybody I know in highschool are getting some dating experience I was like NOPE. I questioned my sexuality a lot at the time and honestly still don't know. I've had a crush on both genders but I've never felt so obsessed with it to the point where I wanted to date them. I also flirt and whatnot but man dating just doesn't appeal to me.

I don’t think it’s okay for anyone to call “dibs” on a person they’re not dating, but it’s also snakey to purposely go for a person just because your friend likes them, or hook up with them when you don’t care about them that much and you also know your friend likes them.
That being said, I literally backed off a guy for 5-6 years because my friend also liked him the entire time. I never told her because 1) the crush was involuntary and I didn’t want a boyfriend at the time and 2) I try to treat people how I want to be treated, and if the situation were reversed and I wanted him as a boyfriend and told my friend before she told me, I’d selfishly want her to not tell me and keep it hidden so I don’t feel guilty going after him. So that’s what I did for her. Well it turns out it really hurt seeing them together once they finally started dating, way more than I thought it would. I was still supporting them and keeping my crush on him to myself, but they broke up amicably because he wasn’t the person she built up in her mind. So I got to date him and I’m still dating him. That friend and I drifted apart, but there was never any bad blood between us and she was pretty over the relationship when I started dating him.

i have never stalked anyone like that but, one time i had a crush on a boy. lets call him J. all my friends knew he was off limits... except one "friend." lets call her A. so next school year we were in seperate classes but A was in the same class as J. a few weeks later J told me that he was with someone. i asked him who and he said "you'll see" so i waited.and the next day i saw A kissing J. it was such an amazing expierience. i cried for a week straight and had meltdowns in the school bathroom
