After I finished watching this, I honestly felt as though I had just been dumped. To say I had goosebumps would be an epic understatement. This really stuck with me and brought me way down for a few days, honestly.
It's just a machine. Sure, it's the best looking thing I've ever seen, and sure, it makes a noise like a small Spitfire, but it's just a machine. ...So why am I crying?
for everyone who was wondering. Season 13 was almost going to be the Final Season of Top Gear. The BBC had almost pulled the plug on the show. so than god its still on
Perhaps the finest segment ever. The good news is ain't over quite yet. There are five or more seasons of tasty reviews after season 13. And the plucky Australians are still building monster cars. Nothing like the AM, but for eg, the Holden Maloo has a bit of soul. I am not worried. Yet.
Mr. Eno, this is a major departure from 'here come the warm jets' - bravo Great show. Sad ending to the show. You guys were one of the best things to watch on tv.
That may be true, however, this doesn't account for something that every car enthusiast is attracted to: soul. Being someone who is studying mechanical engineering, it is wonderful to produce an efficient, compact, well designed/engineered vehicle. But electric cars have no soul. For me there's nothing like an American V8, and it varies from person to person. What automobile enthusiasts will miss is feeling like a kid again, driving their dream car. Progress and efficiency can't replace that.
if jeremy is sad... i'll kill myself in despair, because he can say "hey, see that wonderful masterpiece? i drove one..." me, in the other hand... "see that beast of metal here, child? its a Viper... it ended a long time ago... raw power, a true sportcar... i've never seen one in person..." So much passion, enthusiasm... oh God, dont let that happen, please!
@TheEyesOfJohn It really is a quite stunning 4 minute piece. It's hard to believe that the BBC, which has given us this, Planet Earth, Only Fools and Horses, Match of the Day, etc, so many series that have had a major part in modern British culture, has also given us Little Miss Jocelyn and Two Pints of Lager...
@goldie5999 Because these machines that contain internal combustion engine that have enabled man to go up to 269mph are going to be extinct. These engines are fine-tuned art and will be replaced by electric motors with nothing but two moving pieces.
@anonymouz097 It`s the Isle Of Man, wich is a self-governing British Crown Dependency, located in the Irish Sea between the isles of Great Britain and Ireland. You`re welcome and yes...the song is beautifulll and the fact that Eno actually composed it backwards...well you know :)
best TG scene ever made. simply amazing.

I remember watching this... I had this heartsinking feeling this was going to be the final episode of top gear ever at the end :(
I still cry watching this, and very little ever gets me to that point anymore...
It's just a machine.

Wikipedia states it was filmed in snowdonia North Wales. I've just had a weekend there with my Toyota Supra Twin Turbo, Awesome & breathtaking.
this kinda brings a tear to my eye, it makes me remember all my memories the people ive lost contact with over the years.
Overwhelming. I cannot stop crying. The music, the scenery and even the car itself reduces me to tears. Such a shame cars like these will be history.

this song would be perfect for world ending

This video was so beautiful it made me buy one without any regard of cost.
Near Death Visions... some see bright lights and golden fields... this is what I'll see... POWER - BEAUTY - SOUL

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful video!
made me drop a tear... wonderful!!!
Excellent video, the music would also work with the Rolls Royce Merlin Engine out of the Spitfire. Excellent!

1:11 sounds of life
I'm no fan of Clarkson or Top Gear, but this is how you end a series.
The show isn't over, this is just the end of Series 13. Series 18 just finished airing and there will probably be a Series 19.
@Wilsaap yeah same that would have shattered my whole universe
@Hardlight835 you're welcome :)
@ZZZhiloZZZ I think he was asking about the place :)

He's totally wrong. There are more millionaires now than ever. The market is just fine for such cars.
