Since I was diagnosed with cancer, my daughter has been my best quilt buddy. She jumps in the car anytime I have quilty need for the local quilt shop 30 minutes away. This semester, she has forgone college classes so she could be home with me. Brittany has learned how to sew, made her first quilt, and she machine quilted it too. How cool is that!!!

She knows what’s important and precious in her life and that’s a relationship with her mom. She’ll never regret forgoing a semester of college and what she’s learned through you is more valuable. Great daughter, I think she has a great mom. I hope you win the fight, prayers to you.

I have two quilt buddies, Diane and Charlene. We have been buddies since 2000-2001. We encourage each other to complete quilts. We get together once a week to complete projects, snack, and laugh. They have been wonderful friends and quilties for years and I am so happy to be a part of their lives.

My quiltsie is my mom!! She taught herself to sew when I was 10 and asked to learn. She doesn't sew on her own but is always willing to jump in on anything I want to do as a way to spend time together. She is always so supportive and will spend time poking around my craft room just being with me as I work. We've made many sampler blocks and two quilts together. My favorite project was when she and my sister in law made a few string blocks with me to complete my daughter's baby quilt. She knows the value and love of the time put in and is super quilt worthy! I couldn't begin to count the hours we've spent fabric shopping and somehow she always beats me to paying for it.. We now do projects with my daughter and recently celebrated "sew a jelly roll day" by having a "tea and jelly" tea party then made a quilt top. Once I get it bound it will take turns going back and forth between our house and hers. Sewing for us isn't just about the completed project but about family and that warm hug a quilt gives when we aren't together to get one in person.

My quiltsy is my husband. He loves my quilts and cheers me on! He takes me to every quilt shop I can find on every vacation. I've quilted him bunches of throws up to king size bed quilts on my sitdown longarm. He says if the fire alarm ever goes off, grab as many quilts as you can on the way out the door! Never mind the silver.

My mom taught my sister to sew when she was a child but I could never sit still long enough. When I was in my 30’s, they made me piece my first quilt ( a scrappy 9 patch). That was all it took. Our mom eventually couldn’t piece or quilt anymore so my sister and I kept up the craft. We were asked time and time again to sell our quilts but that would mean our love of quilts was a job, which would kill the love. So, we always give our quilts away. Our mom passed over 2 years ago. When we get together to quilt, we use some of her notions and a lamp that she had in her sewing room. We can feel her with us as we sew across the table from each other. My sister is my quiltsie, my bestie, my heart. She always teaches me something when we are together. We would love the Quilt Love kits. Thank you, we love your show.

Thank you for sharing. My quilting buddy and I grew very close over the past year. Our daughters are best friends, thus we had time to spend together in quarantine. We started out making masks together for family and donations. Then one day we laughed about how many masks we had and how we would have to make a quarantine quilt from them when it is all over. That prompted us to visit the local fabric store and begin our first quilt. We have enjoyed learning from your past and current videos on machine quilting. She is a fan of FMQ and I prefer your rulers...”slim” is a favorite. We have spent almost every weekend sewing together. Between the both of us, we have sewn and quilted 4 twin sized, 2 baby, 2 table toppers and a runner. My husband tired of seeing all the quilting on the kitchen table made us our very own space in the basement. We have a large 6’x6’ table, cutting station and 3’x5’ pressing station. We are both teachers and very blessed to have each other and this amazing hobby to keep us sane during these hectic times. Thanks for teaching us teachers how it’s done! ❤️

My Quiltsy is my new neighbor of 9 months! I have been quilting for many years but she has had me explore new ideas and “gets” me when I get SO excited about a new pattern or fabric! She lends me tools that I didn’t know exist! And of course I have to get my own! It’s so fun to share the love of quilting with her! She makes my world a better place!

my Quiltsy is my Bestie Debbie!!!! We have been friends since we were very little. Now we are both in our 50's!!! Every time I have a new pattern or design she is the first person I call and text!!! She may not be into Quilting but she is great at picking out colors!!! For example, I am working on a table runner now, best part is it's for Debbie!! She picked the material and I get to quilt it!!! How perfect is that!!! She is also very crafty, but she is more into doing printing!! Best part of having a Quiltsy Bestie is every week or so we get things sent to each other!!! I am truly blessed to have her in my life!!! Love ya Deb!!

I love all your shows. I have always free motion quilted my projects because I want them to be 100% my work. I love Midnight Quilter and learn so much from you. My quilty is Liz. We have wine stoppers that are a spool of thread! We met several years ago through sewing. We go on 3+ hour road trips one way because we don't have quilt resources near us. Because of covid we haven't had a trip or sewn together. That doesn't stop us. We text and phone and forward pix of our projects several times a day. She has underlying health issues and hasn't left her home except for doctor appointments. We still share supplies. I drive to her home and toss a bag over the fence or pickup a package she hung on the fence. Nothing can stop us from quilting and learning more. Thankyou for all your inspiration!!!

My quilte partner is one of my co workers. We started this year together as a way to self regulate our emotions. We are both therapist and can’t talk about our clients I started to quilt for my first time 2 months ago. I love watching RUclips videos. I showed my coworker and she wanted to start to. Due to the Covid we stay home all the time and zoom our clients that are children. So now we zoom one a week and work on a new quilt/ our first quilt together. We share different RUclips videos of our next ideas. Just quilting together has brought us closer together. Before we felt more isolated due to not seeing anyone around us. I can’t wait to do more quilt ideas together. I never knew you can use paper with your fabric! Wow I have so much to still learn. Thank you for making the videos it truly helps other people like me

I don't have a quilting buddy, but I would definitely make this for my best friend Brenda. We have been friends for our entire life (50 years). She is always encouraging me in whatever I sew and enjoys whatever I make her and treasures it just because I made it. She is constantly giving me ideas and requesting things for me to make for her or other loved ones. I constantly have multiple projects on the go or have ideas for the next project and one of those projects is a baby quilt for her granddaughter expected at end of March. I love making things for Brenda because she appreciates the time it takes and the love to go in it and she never notices if I made a mistake. She always says it looks professionally made. I made her a make-up bag and her daughter-in-law asked her where she bought it. She told her that I made it and could not have it because she will treasure it forever. She would definitely appreciate this quilt and hang it in her room.

When my sister died I wanted to make a T-shirt quilt with all her shirts. I had never quilted before and would have probably messed the whole thing up if it was not for my friend. She walked me through all the steps of how to make a quilt. I have learned so much from her and now I have made two other quilts out of my sister's shirts and now I would love to have quilting be part of my small business making memory quilts for others who have lost someone they love. I owe it all to my friend for teaching me and my mom for her constant encouragement.

Love, Love, Love that your show is back, I started quilting this past year and your videos were a big part of why started. At this time, at the risk of sounding insane, I would have to say my quilty is my husband. It's only the two of us at home and because of covid and me having underlying medical issues, attending classes and meeting other quilters has been impossible. My husband patiently watches youtube with me, helps me pick out coordinating fabric, and even knows what a half square triangle, backing, and binding is among other quilting terms. Even though he is a tuff construction worker guy, he takes the time to help me because he knows I love it and it makes me happy!

We take turns at each others houses since we're in that safe bubble and sew, exchange ideas, encourage each other when we get stumped on our projects. Sometimes we work on the same project; but, mostly we work on separate projects. If we have wine for lunch we're usually done sewing for the day and just visit or take a walk! Love all your videos!

My BFF for 30+ years is Elaine. I never gave her quilting hobby much thought until about 6 years ago when I went to my first quilt retreat with her and other FWQ's (friends who quilt). At first I hated the whole painful process, I too flunked the sewing machine test in home economics! But, what I lack in skill I make up for with perseverance and the support of my quiltsey. Elaine has always encouraged me in every aspect of life. She even trusted me to help her pack up her sewing room when she moved! I am thankful for my wonderful quilting friends with whom I share this journey, plus tools, fabric, and the true stash amounts without judgment! We are sewn together!

I always admired her quilts and she continued to say " one day you're gonna make a quilt" I finally decided to make a quilt, but didn't know what I wanted to make. We went to several quilt shows, in a small town in Tennessee. She told me pick what I like. I picked a log cabin every time, not realizing it. They looked different to me, with different lay outs and colors. Once she pointed out it was the same patten I decided I love log cabin quilts. The first quilt I ever made was a king size log cabin, for my bed. Go big or go home, right ? My name is Suzanne and my quiltsy is my 93 y.o. Cousin, Betty. Many years ago, we would meet weekly and finish quilts together. She is in a nursing home now, but she still loves seeing all the quilts I am working on via email. She gifted me all her stash, books and UFOs (which I have finished)! 💕

My Quiltsie is my friend and neighbor Helen, who got me interested in quilting. Our quilting journey together started with the July Shop Hop in southwestern Ontario in 2018. I fell in love with all the amazing fabrics and patterns I saw that July and so began my quilting journey! There is no stopping me now! I love this pattern and would certainly love the opportunity to win . Love your videos Angela. You are a quilting Angel!

My Aunt Judy would be my Quiltzy. She is the person who got me interested in sewing and the textile arts. She also made and gifted me with a beautiful queen-sized quilt and pillow shams as a wedding gift many years ago. We live in separate states, so no shopping together. Hoping to start a quilting group in my neighborhood after this pandemic settles down and build a group of Quiltzy friends in the Fall. I know of at least a dozen ladies here who quilt, so looking forward to finding my tribe! So no in-person quilting pals, but I have watched most of the Midnight Quilt Shows and find encouragement, skill-building and entertainment there. Keep being great at what you do! 😊💕

My quiltsy is my grandma. She is the one that started me on my quilting journey at the age of 16. We've been quilting together for 11 years now! Shes passionate about her craft and is always making baby quilts to give away to anyone who has a little munchkin. Any larger quilt she makes, she'll keep them for a little bit to "test out" and admire for herself before giving those away too! She loves cross-province shop-hops with the ladies and loves to get on the phone to chat about what we have been making recently. She keeps me motivated and also sends her friends my way if anyone is looking for a quilt to be quilted. Shes an amazing quiltsy. My quiltsy number 2 is my eldest sister. She always has a unique project going on and her colour sense is amazing! She's the perfect person to talk to when I'm stumped on a design choice for quilting. Shes always just a message away

My Mom is my quilty. She doesn't quilt herself, but she is my biggest cheerleader and supporter along with my Dad who bought me my sit down longarm machine. I love them both and make things for them all the time. My Grandma actually gave the two partial quilts a long time ago that my Great Grandma started and that is what got me hooked. I finished one and the other is hand pieced and I am still working on it. I just wish my Grandma was still around to see them.

My quiltsie and I met while working at a quilt shop! She did the longarming for the shop, designed their quilt kits, and was amazing with intuitive quilting designs. I was a new quilter, barely started, and she taught me so much. When she left the shop for greener pastures, we used to meet up for weekly breakfasts. Now she has moved further away, but we are in touch every week. That's the thing about quiltsies, I guess. No matter how far away they are, they're always there for you!

Oh my gosh! I wish I could read all the stories of everyone's Quiltsie, but there are so many! I haven't really known my Quiltsie, Kathy, that long. We met at a local Christmas in July craft presentation where we sat next to each other. We had time before the presentation started (got there early) so I asked her what her favorite craft was. She lit up, and we haven't stopped talking since! (You just can't make something like that happen. If you're seeking a Quiltsie, just be open to any opportunity.) She calls me the "fabric whisperer" because when she's looking for a fabric to go with something, I often pick out the perfect fabric that she may not even have looked at. That said, she also has a gift for picking great fabric combinations ... and actually FINISHING her quilts! Thank you Angela for your unique inspiration.

My mom is my Quiltsie. She instillled a love for sewing and quilting in me as far back as I can remember. She lives on the street behind ours, so our back yards are "seamless". She fully supports every new adventure that I want to try...like recently teaching myself to FMQ on a domestic. She is always ready to shop hop, Row by Row, open her home for several friends to have a "mock retreat", or just talk sewing/quilting. Despite having my own exhaustive stash, she allows me to "shop" in her stash. We love sewing together, teaching sewing and quilting together, attending classes together, and sharing the final products with others. LOL. I just wanted to share with you that while I did not fail home-ec, it was my only C ever in High School! Because, I knew too many shortcuts....and was resistant to "making things harder than they needed to be". I did get an A on my final production - a beautiful summer dress. I fell in love with cross-stitching and quilting....but I am sure that I was as "obstinate" as my aunt labelled me at that time in life. I was a "rule follower" and never in trouble....but some things you need to take a stand on.

My quilty is my mom who got going to quilt shows at age 35. I'm now 60 and can't imagine not quilting everyday. My is 80 and still quilting. I have the dream macchine 2 and my mom has a babylock accord and a brother embroidery only that she also uses for edge to edge quilting. We're both making tons of masks. I would live to surprise her with quilt love wall hanging. I live in Idaho and mumsy lives in wisconson. Both parents are 80 and still live in the home I grew up in. We love your tutorials and learn tons from the free motion classes. You are doing a great job and we were very excited to see you on midnight quilter.

My quiltzy is my 82 year old mom. She taught me to sew when I was 7 by doing string quilts. . She has made beautiful quilts and taught me so much. Purchased my first quilt pattern and material for me years ago. She is back to string quilts on her own since she is having challenges with memory but she can make anything when we are working as a team.

My Quiltsy would have to be Shelly. We were friends before either one of us knew that the other was a quilter. Then I married her dad and acquired a sewing room in the bargain. Now we share color ideas, design ideas, The perfect Little piece of fabric needed to accomplish a design idea, successes and challenges related to our quilting. And I have had the privilege of having my friend become my daughter❣️

I moved to Australia 8 years ago from USA. That’s when I began quilting. My sister had been trying to get me hooked for years, but I didn’t get the bug until I moved. Now we quilt “together” all the time. When I go home or when she comes to visit, we shop quilt shops and do projects together - in person! I love my sis and she is my Quilty!

My quiltsie, is currently in hospital fighting leukemia. G has had a longarm business and been a quilter for many years. I have only known her for the past year or so as after the death of my mom; my dad introduced us and as become part of our family. They live on our property next door, so we have become close! Dad has since became a quilter as well and bought her a longarm about 3 months ago. They watched many tutorials. I have always sewn but was garment and alterations business. I did make wall hanging with my mom "sew" was introduced to quilting and have always been astonished at how colors are put together and patterns are made (some unknown patterns until blocks are placed on design wall) Now retired and meeting my new bestie quiltsie; I have completed a couple baby quilts and am loving it and all her experience. I was teaching her to use serger, etc and she was teaching me quilting techniques. I'm so thankful she came into our lives as my parents were married 57 years, I have lost my hubby of 35 years both in just the last 3 years and now she has become ill. I pray everyday she will beat this! We have lots of quilting still to do together. Thanks so much for your channel and ALL the tutorials. PS: Dad knows your name. :)

She started quilting right after I did so instead of her holding my hand through something, I was able to be the hand holder for once and teach her something new! She is such a beautiful soul and is the most selfless, accepting, and genuine person that I have ever met! 🥰👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏼
