I love paper piecing. Love those perfect points that you are able to get! And this is a super easy one with only 3 parts. I too have trouble with the color purple. I just almost never choose it. It has gotten better once I started using precuts. With all of the different fabrics in many of the precuts, there is always some purple it seems. Still not ready to buy much yardage though. I never tire of watching your videos. I have rediscovered them when they started to come up on my RUclips feed again. I have seen all of them multiple times several years ago, but it is so fun to watch them again and again! One of these days I will get brave enough to use your quilting techniques to actually quilt my pieced quilts. They are patiently (?) waiting in line for that day. It will come someday I hope, but probably not today. LOL. I’m using end-to-end quilting right now using my embroidery machine and patterns from JuJu. I have even tried patterns printed on paper and all you have to do is follow the lines. Nope not good! I have tried your quilting patterns and it looks like a 3-year-old did it. So not ready yet! Thanks for your enthusiasm. It is so contagious and makes me want to, until I sit down all ready to “go for it” and then I freeze yet again. Yes, I have completed countless small quilted sample blocks of quilt sandwiches as practice. It seems it has been just a waste of fabric, thread, batting and time. I have not improved. I have bought a set of rulers and I’m afraid to even try them! When JuJu came out with end-to-end patterns I tried them. I am gaining some degree of success but that has been painful learning as well. I’m a long way off from being satisfied to give anything away that I have actually quilted myself except for the ones that I did just straight-line stitching using a walking foot. Sorry, Angela, I am one student of yours that has not been successful! But I haven’t given up yet. Maybe someday I’ll get there. In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy your videos and work on it. Thanks for your tips and tricks.

Have been thinking about learning to quilt for a while now, but didn't know where to start. Being that I've sewn for years I know all about seam allowances and matching up corners.... But how do you put together all of these pieces that join together to make these amazingly intricate quilts. So after a lot of over thinking it I thought... RUclips has to have a tutorial! And believe it or not this was the first video I chose to watch! I'm not going to say I'm a pro... For heavens sake I've not even made my first quilt but you answered so many questions right off the bat. I never knew there was paper piecing and just regular piecing. IMO, that explained half the battle!!! I knew I'd found my quilting home when my first video also was about PURPLE!!! My all time favorite color. But I won't hold it against you 😉 So now I feel like I can take my first steps to creating something beautiful. My daughter is getting married Oct '19 and I would love to give her a gift made with love that I hope will become an heirloom that she can pass down to my grandkids and great grands. I'm so very excited!!! Thank you for easing my mind 🤗

I have been watching you to learn how to quilt. I subscribed and since you introduced me to Baby Lock machines, I am looking into purchasing one. I am looking at the Allegro sewing machine. We have a store that sells Baby Lock close by and they are really very supportive. I am an experienced sewer, but new to quilting. I use to sew on an Athena2000 Singer for 40 years and I loved the feature that allowed me to maneuver the machine by hand. I didn't know that feature still existed until your videos. Thank you for your videos. I LOVE them.

Loving the design.... for me, it's the orange I don't like. But the beauty of quilting is you can easily change up the colours for a completely different look. I'm thinking royal blues and turquoises instead of oranges. The rest of the colours can stay the way the designer chose them. Thanks for the great quilting diagrams, this one's a keeper Angela! ~Diana from Toronto

I am loving all these curved illusions. And the fact that this doesn't look too overwhelming for paper piecing... though I have no idea how you could get that all done so fast. I did have a suggestion too - I would love if you would take a little time in one of these episodes to discuss binding. It's kind of my nemesis and a few tips w/ your attitude & humor couldn't hurt.

My up all night quilting took me a month to do on my home domestic machine. It was a queen size quilt and it was purple, blue and white. The quilt pattern was very similar using the “tri recs” tool. I was curious to see how you would choose to quilt yours! I featured mine as a project on your Craftsy Dot to Dot class a few years ago. I love the color purple myself but I’m not a fanatic. I gravitate towards blues. This was a fun video as they all are! Thanks for adding some cheer to the new year!🎊 Love your work!

One of the keys to fast piecing is to be very organised and have all your fabrics together and ironed, then do all your cutting with the cut pieces bagged and labelled appropriately, then you have everything neatly to hand to do all your piecing quickly.
