- In today’s video, we’re going to be taking you on a food tour of what to eat in Argentina. El Bolson is a charming mountain town in Patagonia, Argentina. This place is a nature lover’s playground with crystalline rivers, hidden waterfalls, and forest trails to explore. When we weren’t hiking, we were getting to know the town’s many restaurants, breweries and ice cream shops, so today we’re going to introduce you to some of the dishes we enjoyed like suprema de pollo, parrilla, fried empanadas, egg-topped pizza, cakes, pies, raspberry beer, and even Sam’s beloved dulce de leche ice cream! Now let’s kick off this foodie tour around El Bolson!
Restaurants we visited in El Bolson:
- Patio Venzano: fried empanadas, parrilla, flan with dulce de leche.
- Confitería Reina: Patagonian pizza with fried eggs and pancetta, coconut tart, chocolate sponge cake with forest berries jam and cream.
- Bodega Jovita: suprema (breaded and fried chicken breast) with tomato sauce, mozzarella, bacon and fried eggs.
- Helados Jauja: ice cream trio featuring dulce de leche with merengue, Andean chocolate with walnuts, and wild berries in cream.
- Patio Cervecero: raspberry beer and loaded fries with cheddar cheese, bacon, and chives.
And that concludes our food tour of El Bolson! ARGENTINIAN FOOD EXTRAVAGANZA 🍕🍷 | What to eat in Argentina 🇦🇷:
Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.
We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country.
We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey's parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine.
From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut.
While on the Atlantic side of Chubut we visited Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman and Dolavon.
Our time in Patagonia continued as we headed from east to west trading more barren landscapes for thick forests, impressive mountains and magnificent lakes. We spent significant time in both Esquel and El Bolson with day trips to visit Trevelin, Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila and Lago Puelo. Highlights included sailing, hiking, riding vintage trains and partaking in the national asado festival.
To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country.
Overall our Argentina travel series explores cities, small towns that are off-the-beaten-path, and scenic attractions with a strong emphasis on Argentina cuisine and local culture.

OMG, now I know what "food porn" is! Everything looked so irresistibly delicious & amazing! I have never seen so many different foods, dishes, desserts, etc, that so perfectly represented my tastes! I could see moving there just for the food alone! Some things simple, but so appealing, like pizza loaded with cheese, fried eggs & big slices of bacon! Only in the 21st c. could we combine the words Porn and Food in the same sentence. Now it's a common phrase, used all over the world. Everyone going to restaurants all over the world, 3-star Michelin places, taking pictures of the food or making videos, in NYC, Paris, London, Tokyo, Budapest.
And that's just what we eat in all Argentina! I'm from Buenos Aires and we eat all of that on our daily days, and you can find these meals in any restaurant here! Hope one day you can visit Argentina 🇦🇷

Jauja is a must! They also have a chocalate factory and a restaurant. In the resto they have some crazy things with "rosa mosqueta" (a local flower/fruit that the used on everything: skin lotions, perfume, and also food, marmalades, and a lot more). Jauja has a very unique trout ravioly made with local trout and the dough is made with a flour of dried stem of rosa mosqueta. A complete madness! They also have a soup of rosa mosqueta (quiit tomaty but more flowery in a weird way) and ice cream too. The ice cream in general is a blast, any flavour will blow your mind.

We have lomito which is our most tipical dish it's a sandwich with beef lettuce tomato and fried eggs. Also we have excellent wines and you can make a tour in our Ruta del vino you will visit some of our important wine cellar and champagne cellar you will have a great time I guarantee!!!! Hi guys! My dinner was leftover soup that was really gross! I am jealous of your empanadas, salad, milanesa, and helado! I agree the meat portions are huge!! The pumpkin mash looks interesting and the little beagle pup mix adorable! My husband says the intestines look delicious!

If you have the chance to come back to Bs As there's a small coffee shop called Marchezzo in Lomas de Zamora (Greater Bs As - 613 Colombres st.) near the train station, they make the best ice cream! believe me I've tried a lot and these people make the best one. Those kind of portions you can only find it in restaurants not in the day to day meals at home, we do have registered a problem with people been overweight, having obesity and diabetes, on the contrary we also have problems with malnutrition. This is not necesary for eating to much but for not having a balanced diet and people tending to be sedentary
