ARGENTINIAN FOOD TOUR: Eating PARRILLA + PASTA + PIZZA in Esquel, Chubut, Argentina

- Come join us for an Argentinian food tour as we head all over Esquel, Chubut to eat at different restaurants specializing in Argentine parrilla, pasta and pizza in Argentina. Even though Esquel is known more for hiking and day-trips to National Parks you can find some fantastic Argentine food at various restaurants in town. Our first stop in town was at De Maria, a local parrilla, where we tried eating bife de chorizo, vacio along with beetroot salad and red wine. Our next stop on our Argentine food tour was at a restaurant called Don Chiquino that specializes in Patagonian pastas. We ended up having Sorrentinos with walnuts, ricotta and mushrooms along with lasagna including Patagonian lamb. Our favorite part about this restaurant was the amazing collection of items and trinkets giving it a bodegon feel. Our final restaurant in Esquel, a pizzeria called Fitzroya where we drank old fashioned style coke along with a Napolitana pizza. If we do another Argentina food tour what would you like us to show you next time?

ARGENTINIAN FOOD TOUR: Eating PARRILLA + PASTA + PIZZA in Esquel, Chubut, Argentina:
Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.
We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country.
We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey's parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba.
From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut.
While on the Atlantic side of Chubut we visited Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman and Dolavon. To summarize our time in this area, we had incredibly close encounters with wildlife including penguins, sea lions and guanacos while also experiencing Welsh culture in Argentina.
Our time in Patagonia continued as we headed from east to west trading more barren landscapes for thick forests, impressive mountains and magnificent lakes. We spent significant time in both Esquel and El Bolson with day trips to visit Trevelin, Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila and Lago Puelo. Highlights included sailing, hiking, riding vintage trains and partaking in the national asado festival.
We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey's dad again.
To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country.
Overall our Argentina travel series explores cities, small towns that are off-the-beaten-path, and scenic attractions with a strong emphasis on Argentina cuisine and local culture.

I made the mistake of watching this video 2 hours before lunch, suddenly I'm starving. Great content!
Juan Ignacio Salinas me too 😂
Juan, I'm hoping in the future some kind of advanced technology allows us to share our food with all of you! 😁
:)
The dulce de leche dessert looked great. Just want to say that quality vanilla ice cream with dulce de leche and cinnamon is a killer combination. I love dulce de leche.
Thanks Bernard! Wow, never tried it with cinnamon. That is on our list now!
OMG we just got back from Buenos Aires and would kill for some more parrilla! Amazing.
I know what you mean! Whenever we leave we crave it shortly after.
9:20-9:36 That mousse looks delicious! Served in a fancy glass!
It was certainly memorable Brady!
What a beautiful video on the different food of Argentina it looked so yummy
Thanks Effie! So much great food to try in Argentina :)
Mmmm.... Juicy steak and a delicious glass of dry red wine!!!! Luxury beyond words!!!! I can almost imagine the restaurant scents and aromas as you tell us of your culinary experience. I enjoy your videos guys. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Steak and wine in Argentina is just the best for quality in relation to price.
Oh my! Yeah Argentina food is so good.
Thanks Theodore! It sure is!!!!
The food looks absolutely amazing there. I had no idea! Well, now I know. Thanks guys! :D
Thanks Jere! It is kind of an underrated foodie town!
Your food videos are my FAVORITE ♥️
Thank you very much Nena! We'll have more coming out soon :)
oh my goodness it looks delicious! so happy Dan is cooking me a steak right now :D
Thank you! Oh, sounds great. How did it turn out?
@@samuelandaudrey very good thanks :) I love the bbq at the table idea :)
Muchas gracias Mauricio!
GRACIAS POR VISITAR NUESTRA CIUDAD! SON BIENVENIDOS SIEMPRE, BENDICIONES.
Muchas gracias Damian!
Dang. I want to go right now! Is this actually a year ago? Sign said "Feliz 2019".
Exceptional video as always. Thanks for sharing.
I think they just kept the sign up a bit too long. It was last year, but we weren't there for New Years. 😅
I'm eating sorrentinos for lunch! (filled with ham and cheese) It's one of my favorites pasta dishes. As is customary, I'm making ñoquis (gnocchi) for the 29th.
That is so cool to hear Shima!
You two eat the best food EVER!! And you two are such a great couple. 💕🤗🍕😍😊 And Sam's hat is adorable and funny. LoL
Thanks Darcy! My new fav hat...hahaha
Hi, good to see y’all 🥰😎
Thanks Esther!
Chicos !!! Hermosa pareja !!!
Muchas gracias Diego! ¡Esperamos visitar Washington DC en el futuro!
Thanks, for your feedback on travelling down the Atlantic coast from Mar de Plata. Esquel looks very interesting! I've been to Bariloche! I flew down from Santiago to Puerto Montt. Visited Chiloe for seafood, you would like it😼 I don't like organized tours but I took a small group your from Puerto Montt to Bariloche. Flying one way direct. Returning to Puerto Montt vía the tour via buses, boats & walking across the border. Stayed one night at a Swiss/Chilean family chateau in the mountains near a lake. I spent 5 days in Bariloche & nobody suggested that I visit Esquel, my loss! The 3 Esquel restaurants were all neat.
Thanks Laurence! Great to hear about your experience. Also, highly recommend Trevelin for a laidback pace.
What a great vid. Everything looked delish ♡ beautiful as always Audrey xo hugs from b.c.
Thanks Laurie!~
The food looks delicious.
Thank you! It totally was!
Hi guys,
I always will say I always get hungry when I watch your vlogs.
Thanks Michael! Wish we could share. We could have used some help!
Yummy! 😘
Thanks Vilma! So much food food in Esquel.
Nice Video Samuel and Audrey Ma'am
Thank you very much Pranav!
Oh lord, that beef!
Thanks Bernard! Argentine beef is amazing!
At 2:55. That's what a rare steak is supposed to look like. The center should be blue. To have it nice and red all the way through is medium rare. I like how the restaurant chooses how to cook it properly depending on the type of steak.
Thank you for your vídeos. They are really useful to improve my English. I have already watched your vídeos in Spanish too. Greeting from Córdoba, Argentina!
Thank you very much Pablo! Really appreciate hearing that!
Delicious food guys !
Thanks Bajlandia! It was a delicious quest for food.
Yummy! That looks amazing!
Thank you! It was a lot of fun feasting in Esquel.
Wuaaauuu wuaaauuu wuaaauuu wuaaauuu me vuelven craysi the videos !! Jajaja 😂😂😂
😅🤪
Mousse looks spectacular... So delicious and nice looking, and Pizza - I don't have words. 😊
Thanks LeAny! I wish we could share!
Nice rare beef there - Yummmmmm !
Thanks MIke! It was delicious!
You guys really know how to sell a place!! Apologies if you answered this already, but how do you find the internet quality in Patagonia? Any towns where it worked really well? Hope y'all are doing this for many decades to come!
Thank you very much Kennith! It was honestly hit and miss. One of the best places was actually Ushuaia.
Just doing a catch up ... love the food scene there ... makes me hungry ..... well done as ever
Thanks Peter! How are things going on ground level these days? Would love to hear an update from you.
@@samuelandaudrey Well its now 0910 on the 1st of Feb , a Saturday and we are experiencing a calm before a predicted firestorm this afternoon. We have the car packed , dog and bird ready for evacuation once again. The threat of high winds and high temps along with low humidity has everyone on edge. We have been awake since 4am watching our social media , satellite and fire apps. Yesterday I constructed a makeshift rooftop water sprinkler system that we can turn on as we leave but because of our lack of an endless supply of water we are in the dubious position of having to leave later rather than early for a more secure departure. I only have enough water in the sprinkler tank for about 4 to 6 hours .... Fingers crossed today doesn't become as predicted for us in Brogo. We appreciate your concern , it's comforting to know the outside world cares. We thank you ...
Even in ordinary grocery stores in the neighborhoods if you find food like empanadas you must try it...🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 you won't regret 👍
Some of the best we've had have been from places like that.
Holy heck everything looked sooo good! Thanks for sharing guys!
Thank you! We had so much fun eating around Esquel.
I bet it was hard to share that lovely dessert Audrey but as they say sharing is caring 😁💕
Nothing else to say only another awesome video 👏👏👏👍

So many italian dishes❤
Nice intro
Thank you Pranav! We really enjoyed our time in Esquel
Oh that meat was Wow.
Thanks Uranija! It certainly was memorable!
Me dieron ganas de comer asado soy de argentina💪
:)
Asado and whine in Argentina are the BEST option always 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Totally agree with you Sebas!
keren...like🖒🖒🖒😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
:)
Food for the Gods.
Couldn't agree more.
I know Samuel is a real pizza fiend. If you're back in Canada and looking for great pizza, I highly recommend ordering this particular version from Domino's Pizza: Medium sized Six Cheese Pizza with Pan Crust and lightly done (baked) with double bacon and alfredo sauce (instead of pizza sauce). This pizza is superb.
Oh, that sounds soooooo good!
Sorrentinos 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Just love those! Giant pasta!
Sam are you intentionally wearing Cubs blue? 😊 ⚾️
I do love the Cubs! How do you think they'll do in 2020?
Aaaaawesome
Thanks Anita!
@@samuelandaudrey plz subscribe my channel 🙏🙏💗💗
How long did you guys take between those 3 meals? You always seem to be eating!! Though tbh at those cheap prices, I would be too!! That beef looked sooo juicy I was smacking my lips and drooling!!
Thank you! We actually decided to cut up our food + hiking vlogs into separate videos so we showed 3 days of hiking in one video and 3 days of meals in this one.
@@samuelandaudrey Thanks guys! The way it was edited it looked like you were "pigging out" every 10 minutes!! I have just watched your 24 hours in London from 2018. Well done for visiting so many places and staying awake so long!! You missed a lot of places in Camden, including the amazing old horse market in Camden Lock ( Dingwalls there had the longest bar in London ) as well as around Hampstead and Kensington and Chelsea where a lot of celebs and royals live. Get back over here soon and find more places you missed, such as Portobello Road and Notting Hill. There are "blue plaques" on a lot of houses and buildings where celebs and artists lived ( Jimi Hendrix, Van Gogh, Karl Marx, and thousands more. It will take you a week to explore "underground London" with it's hidden tunnels and history. Most of the UK has hidden or secret tunnels everywhere. We have been building them for centuries. And don't forget to visit Whitechapel, scene of the Jack The Ripper Murders, or the Tower of London with it's Beefeaters and history going back thousands of years. I still have not explored all of Cornwall even though I have been going there for over 50 years! To explore the whole of the UK would take several lifetimes. x x x
Thank you so much for those amazing London suggestions! The amazing thing about London, which I do believe is unique from other cities, is that you could do an entirely different 50 things every time you visit and not ever exhaust the plethora of experiences the city has to offer.
Just stop! I have gained at least 5 kilos watching this video! Delish!
Hehehe....sorry but not sorry for that ;)
I would be interested in Sam and Audrey's opinion: which is better, Korean food or Argentinian?
Looks like you're eating good in the neighborhood.
Thank you! We had no idea Esquel offered up such good food!
Gracias!
Again, Lovely Vid....But one serious question, Why have you guys never done Patreon??? Love ya both xx
Thanks Paul! We're thinking about setting that up soon :)

White letters on a yellow text box is almost impossible to read. I've seen those two features in other youtube videos. Is this a youtube default?
I think it might be default.
Please come to PAKISTAN it is peacful now and it is so beautiful. We will welcome you warmly 🔥 Waiting for your arrival. Love from PAKISTAN❤❤
Thanks! Hope we can soon!
That cow is still alive !!!!
A little juicy.
Luv u Guys...One question though...Why no Patreon????Would that not help???
Thank you very much Paul! We'll be looking to set that up sometime this year I think.
Does Audrey really like pizza or not? She said she doesn't in previous video~~~~
I've noticed she needs to be craving it to really like it. If she doesn't it is just okay for her whereas I love it more or less always.
Coca cola in a glass bottle tastes better, ask any Argentinean who likes coke and they will tell you that it is better in a glass bottle, those bottles are reusable, you take your empty bottle to the market and you pay less than buying a soda in plastic disposable bottle
Thanks Any! That is really cool to hear.
AMAZINGLY cheap 👍👍👍👍
Delicious and affordable in Esquel!
👨🍳
Thanks Ace!
parrida? parrilla!
?
0:03 look at the face from the guy :D Obviously he likes Audrey
You guys need some food porn music.
Hahaha...thanks Dave
like virgen ... se escuha madonna
Bahahahaha - Oh Jesus Joseph and Mary I really needed that laugh - don't have time to watch all of your video right now but it is so far from what I have seen outrageously hmmmmmmmmm funny ?? So much content to mull over - "gotta have my meat" - "goes down well" - "amazeballs" - bahahahaha - sad that you go out of your way to pronounce Spanish words perfectly but can't say Panchetta !! it is not pan set ta !!! must agree Samuel the glasses definitely need to go and that awful French flag coloured coat (??) and hat looked hideous. Safe travels and thanks for the hearty laugh !!
I thought they were Audrey's glasses they are the worst, please get new ones.
Think I'll keep them.
@@samuelandaudrey You guys are awesome, you make a great team, Iam loving your videos and especially Audrey's Dad. Do you have Chile videos as well, would love to see you both in Santiago.
