Totally agree with you everything just works. And it’s nice in Helsinki during all seasons and you can cycle in the city safely and it feels culturally diverse. The Helsinki main library is super cool and so big with so many things to do in there.
Hi, thanks. Kotka to Helsinki is about 2.5 hrs so it is possible to go back and forth however it might not always be ideal. Say hi when you get to Finland 🇫🇮
Kotka is a nice town by the sea; lots of beautiful parks, seafront and islands. It is small compared to Helsinki, but does have a real city center with shops and cafes, museums, a theatre and a library. A concert and event hall will open in August. Living there is also way cheaper, even right in the center, which I recommend. A very nice place, actually - no need to get to Helsinki every day. And yet it is not far if you like to spend a day in Helsinki every now and then.
Hi Helsinki residents please don’t hesitate to add to the list here in the comment section 🧡
I like the fact that you can get both the nature and city in one place makes it feel like a 100percent🎉

Many possible things in life don't make much practical sense.
Commuting daily between Kotka and Helsinki doesn't make much sense.
