I worked at a shelter. We didn't even need to see paperwork when pets and owners were reunited. The wagging tails/bodies and obvious excitement was enough identification!
Thank you for working at a shelter, such an important job! ❤❤🙏 We went overseas years ago to visit family. We boarded our cat at a vet's facility. Upon returning we were at their front desk talking. Then we could hear our cat starting to scream. She was two rooms away in the back inside the boarding cubicle. I've never ran so fast to her in my life. They know and recognize us, just like we do them. ❤
When was in the military I left my cat (she was one year old) at my parents, when I got home and she was hearing my voice and she come running and almost screaming at the same time! I was her dad and mom as I found her in a ditch next to a highway , only about 4-5 weeks old! She is gone now but we had 20 years together! Miss her as she was special to me!

Wow. That is almost the same story that I have. I got Venus, a kitten, who had all of the aliments and no shelter, I saved her and raised her until she was a little over 1, which I had to go to BMT. I am still in training, and haven't gone home in almost 7 months. I still worry if she'll recognize me, but I'm staying hopeful, since you had the same experience and your cat remembered you. I can't wait to come home to her
I loved seeing that cats can be just as excited to see an owner as dogs are! The guy that lost his dog for 4yrs did bring a lump to the throat as I cannot imagine the pain the guy went through and the confusion and loss that the dog also went through! Loved it all!
years ago we adopted a grown tuxedo cat (never found out his age, never cared). He really got attached to my kids. If he heard my kid's car in the driveway, he'd run to the living room and would sit on the coffee table by the front door so he was the first one to greet them. He never did this to anyone else's car until I met my now husband and he would do the same thing to him. I figured this was a sign telling me my husband was kitty approved, so I married him (the husband, obviously lol)
These reunions, be they an hour, or many years apart, get to me. I rarely cried in the past but now I'm a blubbering hot mess filled with love and gratitude!
As a Dad, coming home from work when my daughter was very young was awesome. Her excitement made everything worthwhile. Now she is 16 so, . . . at least I have the dog which greets me like I have been gone for years.
I absolutely love that people are broadening their pet choices, seeing a pet goose really made me laugh but also melt my heart. Not to mention how each animal expresses their love differently, but also kinda the same.

Geese often bond for life with humans and some types are more friendly. See Pet Goose George on here. African geese are the largest type but often like humans if they aren`t mistreated and are exposed to people when they`re young.

I remember when my cat Morgana was super sick I wasn't there with her due to me being an hour away working for my uncle Bernie. On the 4th day my grandma scheduled an appointment to see what was wrong with her so I came home early and when I saw how skinny she got it broke my heart. She just laid down on the floor and stared at me so I laid down next to her and when I did she curled up next to me and we just laid there as I petted her and talked to her. I know she was happy to see me, but she didn't have the strength to get up so this was her best way of showing me that she missed me. Luckily though she recovered after going to the vet and them helping her, but she only ate once I tried to feed her. She's my baby and I'm so happy she's okay now
I have connected with animal sentients since I was a boy. For decades I didn't know i had Asbergers syndrome. Now I realize that all the animals in my life have never judged me. People can learn so much from animals. Keep up the videos.

I'm happy that the guy with the little kitty got reunited with her again, the feeling of losing a pet dear to you and not knowing if you'll ever see them again is heartbreaking, happened to me when I was a little dude, we had a cat named Mille, sweet little thing, one day she ended up not coming home (the girl was more of an outdoor cat) about 2 days later my mum found out that someone had hit her with their car and driven away, she was dead instantly apparently, i loved that cat, she was the best. Rip baby girl.
I loved a horse that I used to take care of 15 years ago. Both owners worked and went to College too. The horse was so nice so any way I ran into them again its was so nice to see them 💕 they asked me if I wanted to see cookie . We to their home, and I went to the paddock and and she ran to me and I cried because she remembered me.
When I was little, our family cat Spooky used to walk my sisters and me to school and then back home. He also accompanied my dad when he walked out dog, even if it was in the snow. Then he'd ride in my dad's jacket all the way home. One time, we took a 2 week vacation and he was so mad at us that he pooped on our sofa (the one and only time in his entire life). He would even show up at our neighbor's house if we stayed there "too long". He was an amazing cat and I miss him a lot, but I'm glad we had him for as long as we did.

He gave us pets as a reminder that you can be smart but your heart must also be open. Animals can be horribly mistreated but like a dried out plant, water them with a little love and they will often flourish in spite of it.
Pets are non-judgemental. They'll love you no matter your race, religion, rich, poor, fat, thin, married, single, straight, gay....as long as you show them love & respect, they'll return that 10-fold each day!
I am in tears. Sad story here: my grandpa had a collie named Lad. Grandpa would walk a few blocks away to the bus to go to work. Lad would show up at the bus stop after work to meet him. One day Grandpa caught a ride with a workmate. Lad showed up at the stop. No Grandpa got off. Bus started to leave the stop. Lad tried to stop the bus so Grandpa could get off. You can guess the sad end.
The weather is a little bit cool now that the sun is going down. It rained all night,last night. It rained this morning, then the sun came out and it warmed up. It's suppose to start raining again later and tomorrow is supposed to be terribly windy and rainy, yuck! BUT NO ICE OR SNOW!🤣

I watch a lot of videos about random acts of kindness, people helping homeless, animals asking for help, etc, but by far this is the first time I've watch pet and owner reunion, and it was also my first time crying because its just the most emotional yet!
The chickens at my moms used to meet my niece when she got off the bus. Sometimes they tried to go to school with her. My father in laws goat use to jump in the bus when the kids would get in bus. Some mornings hear screaming. The bus driver will be off the bus,the kids standing on seats. My kids chasing the goat off the bus.
Even the day-to-day is so lovely with how welcomed home they make you feel! There's always a little competition between puppers and kitty with usually the puppers winning out since my kitty's usually trying not to get caught up in the chaos that is doggo's energy XD I love seeing my baby in the window waiting for me though at times, and last week or so ago I hadn't realized pupper was peaking out an open window and almost walked around the house to check if he was in the yard until I realized he was losing his mind at the window lol
I still remember how my ginger cat would always follow me to the bus station. The first couple of times I was worried because I was afraid that he might accidentally cross th street and get run over by a car or that he might not find back home. But he always did. He just wanted to make sure that I get into the bus safely. Once I was in the bus he would return home on his own. He was well known by the village people and even the bus drivers.
The one where the guy found his lost cat really warmed my heart cause it reminded back when we’d had found out cat that we’d had for 5 years and he’d gotten out and had been lost for two weeks. And one evening we found him in a storm drain right across our street but he sadly passed away cause he was at dehydrated down there. It’s happy to see these people reunited with their animals.🥰

The old lady and the goose reminded me of my childhood on the farm We had a couple Canada geese that were like our pets They first showed up in our little kiddie pool early one spring cause it had water in it from melted snow Mom started feeding them grain till the big slough by the house thawed out and slowly they became more friendly and soon they were coming up to the door every morning wanting their grain and would follow mom around as she did chores in the morning Year after year they always came back to our yard and would honk when they arrived and yes they had cute little babies 😍 that were just as friendly
There's nothing like the love and loyalty of our precious cat children. Never knew I was a cat person until my late girl came along. We were blessed with her for 17 years. She'll always be missed. My new cat daughter is almost four, a Siamese mix. I love her as much, but differently. Your cats know how much you love them, that's why they smother you with so much affection every time you return 💕😽
As a child I had a pet chicken called Susie, she would sit on my shoulder and go everywhere with me. She used to sleep in the fireplace in my bedroom plus lay her eggs.
I like how a dog that was 3 months old, and is now full grown but who's memories all find a moment where they where held safely in a person's arms, will jump up on that person like, "Yeah, this was a thing I know you did!"
You win their trust, they will never betray you... You can leave them and they will suffer and waiting for you ... They can get lost, but every cell in their body want to get go back to you... Love these sweet reunions. The clip with the dogs waiting for their mom to come home from work, our dogs act the same way whenever me or either of my parents come home. And sometimes my cat acts like I’ve been gone too long.
I have a story for you, when I was 19 I got my first Siamese cat, her name was Ginseng, she lived 18 years. About 10 years ago, I was walking home and met what I thought was a Siamese that had a home, it took her a month and a half to find me and yes she was the same cat. Unfortunately she died in a marine propane heater explosion that should have killed me as well on my last sailboat (I live aboard and have been since I got Gin). Her name was Joss and the PTSD from the explosion was horrid with flashbacks of her dying in my arms. Last September, a dear friend of mine brought me a Siamese that was born less than a month after Joss died, her name is Java and she is the same cat and has nearly cured my PTSD. The Rainbow Bridge allows U-Turns and she keeps coming back from death to take care of me. BTW, I am 60 now.
As a young adult, I adopted a big dog and an ugly kitten from a local shelter. As a renter, I wasn't allowed to have pets and I moved often for one reason or another. My pets stayed with my parents in the old family home which was a big house with a large yard and other dogs. Nearly every day, I came to take care of them. The dogs were walked several times a day. If I had more free time, they were walked more often. The walks and the visits to places seemed to make them happy. Even before it was recommended, I always stopped frequently to allow the dogs to sniff their environment. As a result, the walks were very long. Once, my sister lost my dog when they went jogging. After three months, my dog came home one morning and waited to come in. The news of her return brought much joy to the family especially my dad who loved her loyalty to us.

I am in tears. Sad story here: my grandpa had a collie named Lad. Grandpa would walk a few blocks away to the bus to go to work. Lad would show up at the bus stop after work to meet him. One day Grandpa caught a ride with a workmate. Lad showed up at the stop. No Grandpa got off. Bus started to leave the stop. Lad tried to stop the bus so Grandpa could get off. You can guess the sad end.
Moral of the story, don't let your dogs roam around on the street randomly without you?

I watch a lot of videos about random acts of kindness, people helping homeless, animals asking for help, etc, but by far this is the first time I've watch pet and owner reunion, and it was also my first time crying because its just the most emotional yet!
The chickens at my moms used to meet my niece when she got off the bus. Sometimes they tried to go to school with her. My father in laws goat use to jump in the bus when the kids would get in bus. Some mornings hear screaming. The bus driver will be off the bus,the kids standing on seats. My kids chasing the goat off the bus.

Even the day-to-day is so lovely with how welcomed home they make you feel! There's always a little competition between puppers and kitty with usually the puppers winning out since my kitty's usually trying not to get caught up in the chaos that is doggo's energy XD I love seeing my baby in the window waiting for me though at times, and last week or so ago I hadn't realized pupper was peaking out an open window and almost walked around the house to check if he was in the yard until I realized he was losing his mind at the window lol
I still remember how my ginger cat would always follow me to the bus station. The first couple of times I was worried because I was afraid that he might accidentally cross th street and get run over by a car or that he might not find back home. But he always did. He just wanted to make sure that I get into the bus safely. Once I was in the bus he would return home on his own. He was well known by the village people and even the bus drivers.

The one where the guy found his lost cat really warmed my heart cause it reminded back when we’d had found out cat that we’d had for 5 years and he’d gotten out and had been lost for two weeks. And one evening we found him in a storm drain right across our street but he sadly passed away cause he was at dehydrated down there. It’s happy to see these people reunited with their animals.🥰

3:40 My first cat's name was Sherman. He was a big fat longhair tabby we got from the vet. When we got him all his fur was shaved off and he was addled from being frozen outside. He was with us for 10 years and I loved that little ball of fat.

We had a couple Canada geese that were like our pets
They first showed up in our little kiddie pool early one spring cause it had water in it from melted snow
Mom started feeding them grain till the big slough by the house thawed out and slowly they became more friendly and soon they were coming up to the door every morning wanting their grain and would follow mom around as she did chores in the morning
Year after year they always came back to our yard and would honk when they arrived and yes they had cute little babies 😍 that were just as friendly
I went to a wildfire for 10 days and got absolutely mugged by my 3 cats when I came home even though I stunk to high heaven.
There's nothing like the love and loyalty of our precious cat children. Never knew I was a cat person until my late girl came along. We were blessed with her for 17 years. She'll always be missed. My new cat daughter is almost four, a Siamese mix. I love her as much, but differently. Your cats know how much you love them, that's why they smother you with so much affection every time you return 💕😽

Love these sweet reunions. The clip with the dogs waiting for their mom to come home from work, our dogs act the same way whenever me or either of my parents come home. And sometimes my cat acts like I’ve been gone too long.

I have a story for you, when I was 19 I got my first Siamese cat, her name was Ginseng, she lived 18 years. About 10 years ago, I was walking home and met what I thought was a Siamese that had a home, it took her a month and a half to find me and yes she was the same cat. Unfortunately she died in a marine propane heater explosion that should have killed me as well on my last sailboat (I live aboard and have been since I got Gin). Her name was Joss and the PTSD from the explosion was horrid with flashbacks of her dying in my arms. Last September, a dear friend of mine brought me a Siamese that was born less than a month after Joss died, her name is Java and she is the same cat and has nearly cured my PTSD. The Rainbow Bridge allows U-Turns and she keeps coming back from death to take care of me. BTW, I am 60 now.

As a young adult, I adopted a big dog and an ugly kitten from a local shelter. As a renter, I wasn't allowed to have pets and I moved often for one reason or another. My pets stayed with my parents in the old family home which was a big house with a large yard and other dogs. Nearly every day, I came to take care of them. The dogs were walked several times a day. If I had more free time, they were walked more often. The walks and the visits to places seemed to make them happy. Even before it was recommended, I always stopped frequently to allow the dogs to sniff their environment. As a result, the walks were very long. Once, my sister lost my dog when they went jogging. After three months, my dog came home one morning and waited to come in. The news of her return brought much joy to the family especially my dad who loved her loyalty to us.
