The difference between Minter and Hagler is Hagler doesn't clinch, and would go toe-to-toe to wear you out and create more opportunities. Minter would clinch alot on the inside, to not go toe-to-toe, and would rely on hand speed and timing from the outside. Vito was a brawler whom, liked to fight on the inside, Minter didn't give him opportunity for that.
He was cutting him up almost straight away with jabs. His weakness was his stand up style and not much bobbing and weaving. Don't do this guys otherwise you'll get taken out of there. He only won 1 out of the next 4 fight after this. It was really those knockouts to Hagler and Sibson that really finished him off. He's a great fighter though. He will forever go down as one of the few to win the undisputed world title alongside Randy Turpin, Lloyd Honeyghan, Josh Taylor, Lennox Lewis, Ken Buchanan, Bob Fitzsimmons.
Not really. Antuofermo kicked his butt in both occasions. But he always had a problem with his chick bones sticking out and causing his skin to split open..And that fooled the judges on the 2nd encounter. My eyesight is marvellous
@@marziogiorgetti8528 😭😭Should have gone to specsavers 😂😭😭😭he virtually tried to win the fight with the headbutt, leading with the head is dangerous and it back fired cos marv had too many skills...!!
I think Vito might just be the worst fighter to ever win a world championship. Yes he was tough and had stamina but skills as a boxer were almost non-existent. I don't know if I ever saw him land a solid, snapping punch. Just bore in, stick his head in there and wrestle.
Great fight, rest in peace champ.
only just found out that Alan Minter had passed away, cant believe i had,nt heard this,RIP Champ.
R. I. P. Alan minter
I think Vito started bleeding during the national anthem
Starts bleeding at the weigh-in
@Peter-km7hb he had a blood donor instead of a cut man
@@larry4789 they would give him a quick transfusion between rounds😂😅🤣 but he was tough as nails

RIP Alan Minter.
Loved minter great boxer, but it must be a nightmare meeting people like antuerfermo, heart to big
you wouldnt want to be the winner of this bout with hagler waiting in the wings
He destroyed them both beating minter in his own back yard with ease, different class was marvellous ☮️👌
Antuofermo had already defended and retained (it was a draw) his middleweight title against Hagler, the fight before he lost it to Minter.
RIP Champ.

Alan Minter undisputed world champ! And won on foreign soil in Vegas no less! RIP
Next fight! The one & only Marvelous Marvin Hagler
Hagler dispatched both of these fighters..No problem ☮️Minter never protected his face and held his gloves too low..

Didn't know Alan Minter passed, RIP Champ ! When did he die and how ?

I'd pick Kevin Finnegan to beat Antuofermo.
It'd be a great fight as they were both light punchers, but hard as nails
Ya what happened when Hagler gave him a thrashing. Was it supposed to be like that.
Good solid scrapper .rip .
Minter made him eat leather from the first bell.
Minter spins Vito when he tries to tie up as his corner advised in the first fight.
Turn your volume down Howard is annoying.
Always with Howard.
Biased American Commentary.Cossell.Trying to Make out it was close.Minter pummeled him in both fights.
That was a Cossell’s trademarked , never listen to his commentary because he didn’t know what he is talking about , in any sport .
